I just purchased my first pool and was extremely happy with the level of service and information given to me by Brothers 3 (Bethpage location). From the moment we walked into the showroom we were greeted with a friendly and knowledgable salesperson. Jennifer was so patient with us asking question after question. She wrote things down for us and took her time explaining all of our options. This followed through while the pool was ordered and installed. We even went back to get our "pool school", a step by step explanation on how to put in all of the chemicals. I am very happy we chose Brothers 3 and would recommend them to anyone. Looking forward to many summers of fun with our pool!

We had our pool put in last year. Everything went well. Got 15X30 oval. Happy, no problems. Just got our chemicals for this year and am looking forward to Memorial Day and BBQ time.

While I am pretty satisfied with the products at Brothers Three Pools, I was completely disappointed with one of their subcontractors, Sparkle Pool Service. The gentleman at Brothers 3 are very knowledgable about their products and pool maintenance and I was able to learn a lot about how to care for a new pool purchased at their store.

Brothers 3 then subcontracted the installation to Sparkle Pool Service. This was a complete disaster. After arriving at the house a bit late, the guys installed the pool and I noticed the pool floor was lumpy. I asked is this normal? Why isn't the floor smooth? I was replacing an older pool so I knew my last pool was not and did not start off with a lumpy floor. The installer told me the weight and pressure of the water would smooth out the bottom in approximately 2 weeks.

Believing this guy was telling the truth and giving him a few weeks cushion, I called back after a month and told Sparkle that the bottom was still uneven. Even worse, this bumpiness made it very dificult to clean the pool. The vacuum was unable to move unencumbered across the floor. It would run into lumps and feel almost as if it were going to rip the lining.

The response from Sparkle was that it takes time for the lining to settle. That was 1 1/2 years ago.

Brothers 3 and Sparkle have amazing customer service. They install Wilbar pools in particular Sharkline. The pools are made in Long Island. Pools have a 50-100% Markup from Wilbar. You are getting great service but commercials and overhead of physical stores commissions often mean you are paying a large mark up over buying Direct.

However, other LI Pools stores charge same amount and service is terrible. Buy from Brothers 3 and you get what you pay for. But you pay a lot.

This year we purchased a semi inground swimming pool from Brothers 3 in Bethpage. Initially the thought of spending over $10000 had my stomach churning, however after looking at other pools that claimed to be semi inground we bit the bullet and purchased the Brothers 3 Extruder pool.
Well, now that we have spent the money let me say we thoroughly enjoyed a great summer in a pool we feel will last us a lifetime and make spending the money WELL worth it.
The excavation was well done and Sparkle did an amazing job of building the pool EXACTLY where we needed it. Thanks to Brian and the boys for crawling on their stomachs under my deck to get it where we wanted it. The work was perfect, yard cleaned up, and all the workers were very POLITE.
Although my wallet hurts, we are darn glad we purchased a Brothers 3 Pool.
Oh, everytime we have called with a question about the filter or chemicals we have received excellent advise, especially since this is our first pool.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Brothers 3 Pools. They TOTALLY stand behind their products. I purchased a pool and filter in May 2010. I had a problem with the filter & was anticipating the worst--but after notifying the store, the installer (Brian -Sparkle Pools) came to fix the problem immediately. The filter was eventually replaced with a new one-which, unfortunately was faulty (not due to any fault of Brothers 3). The installer (Brian) was @ my house again AND Howard Levine from the store came to my yard as well to try and resolve the issue. Brian and Mr. Levine exhausted every effort to alleviate the problem I was experiencing. I received a 3rd filter--it was SUPER!! I noticed another problem with the pool and it was resolved ASAP to my satisfaction. Brothers 3 DOES NOT ignore customer complaints and truly wants you to be happy with your purchase. Mr. Levine was professional, showed me utmost respect and was always courteous and more importantly - really did care!!!! .....and---- he happens to be a nice man!! You can shop Brothers3 with confidence!! The installation company-Sparkle -owned by Brian ,was as well professional and responsive to all my concerns and was at my house to try and resolve the problems. I cannot speak highly enough of Sparkle. Brian went above & beyond and always with a smile and a handshake--- my kind of people!! I have read negative posts regarding Brothers 3 and Sparkle -- and all I can say is-- when you treat people with respect --- they return that courtesy to you. Brothers 2 NEVER neglected any of my calls and acted upon them immediately. I am happy with my purchase and am sure I will have years of enjoyment from it--- !!!!!

The below listed review is totally false. Mrs.R. Kohlman did have a problem with a motor and pump however, it was certainly 100% percent brand new not refurbished and Hayward Pool Products will be more than happy to verify this. Brothers 3 was more than willing to assist the Kohlman's and she is fully aware of this. We have saved all correspondence with the Kohlman family and have complete documentation to prove this. As a matter of fact I will copy and paste an email that was sent to Mrs. Kohlman. Please see below. We were totally willing to assist them with their situation as you can read in the attached email which was sent back on June 6, 2010.

I purchased my pool at Brothers 3 in July 2009. I am so happy with the quality of the semi inground pool I purchased from them. Everything was handled very professionally. All the salespeople were very helpful and really nice they always answered all my questions. The installer did a beautiful job. I would recommend Brothers 3 Pools to anyone looking for a pool! You can't go wrong with their quality and their service.

I have to agree with all the reviews about being left in the dark after the installation. We bought our pool from the Bethpage store. I was so annoyed with Brothers 3 that I even complained to the manager "RICK" who sold us the pool, but he wanted nothing to do with us after the pool was paid for. The installers did not hook up the filter or did they show us anything. Brothers 3 told us as well that everything would be hooked up and ready to go (with the exception of the water of course). We were left with an empty pool in the yard and they were gone before you knew it. As far as I'm concerned, if Brothers 3 subcontracts out their installers, then they should back up their product! We called "Rick" many times asking for help and all he told us was to come to the store for instructions on how to do everything. I just paid $11k for a pool and you want ME to come to YOU? Then to top it off we had to return the vacuum we bought from them THREE times because it cracked. Not only did it crack, but the part that cracked, made holes in our liner and we didn't know it. We started losing water. We had to pay someone $250 to come and fix the holes. The liner we bought was suppose to be the strongest and warrantied. NOT THE CASE. To boot, we had our pool installed last April (2009) and I hated everything about Brothers 3 and would NOT RECOMMEND them to anyone.

I bought a pool from the Sayville store almost 2 years ago and can only rave about the pleasant experience. The salespeople (ALL of them) are knowledgeable, kind, patient, and take as much time as necessary to thoroughly explain the process from the beginning at purchase to the end at maintenance. There were absolutely no surprises for me in the cost of the pool or for the the installation. I am particularly impressed that Ed, as well as the other salesmen, remember my needs and questions from year to year and are willing to do "whatever it takes" to keep me as a satisfied and returning customer. I might further add that I am very slow to understand anything mechanical or chemical and yet none of the salesmen ever made me feel as though I am wasting their time or lose patience with me or my constant questions. Ed, one of the salesmen, even allowed me to video "how to" instructions for putting in the chemicals and opening and closing the pool. This was during their most busy time and I was never made to feel rushed! Their chemicals are truly of the highest quality and help in the ease of maintenance, even for novices like me! I was also impressed with their recommended installers, Sparkle Pools. They did an excellent job and were very professional. They, too, did more than just routine opening and closing and I was extremely satisfied with them. I would highly recommend Brothers 3 to anyone looking to purchase a pool. There is a reason they have stayed in business for over 50 years!

Pool was delivered missing parts. Manager at Sayville outlet refused to provide delivery. What he did provide was HORRIBLE, RUDE customer service. Winterizing kit was not complete. Again, all the manager at the Sayville outlet provided was HORRIBLE, RUDE customer service. I would NOT recommend this business nor will I ever purchase from them again.

I would like to just take a moment to say how great it is to buy something in a place where you are treated as people and not just sources of money. We decided to purchase a pool at Brothers 3 after meeting with one of their sales reps. The sales person was very helpful and eased our anxiety about making a large purchase. We knew up front that they were not the cheapest of the companies, but heard that they sold the best quality and would treat us properly. Rest assured our friend was right in sending us to them. We did check out other places first but the quality was sadly lacking from them all. I have no doubt that the pool I purchased will last me years to come. Whenever I have a question I'm always able to ask a sales person there and they help me out with whatever I need. I read what some of the other reviewers said about the installers, but I never had any problems. The worst I could say is that sometimes they were hard to reach on the phone, but I figure it's a summer business and they must get swamped. If you want a great pool, look into the Navigator model, it's what I bought. My family loves the thing and we use it every chance we get.

I just purchased a beautiful new pool (12x24). It was a great addition to the yard and my wife enjoys lounging in the pool as much as my two sons. Brothers Three made the pool buying experience a lot more enjoyable than most of the other pool stores we attended. At Brothers Three, all of the my problems were taken care of right away, the sales people were kind to us throughout the entire process not trying to push us into something we weren't ready for. Not only did they help us pick the right pool for our yard and family needs, but they gave us step by step instructions on how to set up the filter system and get it going. All you have to do is go in, no appointment and they told us everything we would need in chemicals for the season and maintaining a clean pool. I would recommend Brothers Three to anyone I know that is thinking about purchasing an above ground pool in the near future. They are the real deal, and their installers, Sparkle, get the job done right. It was amazing watching the crew get to work and get the pool up so quickly and efficiently. If i ever need another pool in my life, I would go back to Brothers Three no questions asked. Great quality pool with a warranty to back up their product. Thanks for everything!

I have to agree with the previous review. I too was a novice and was very overwhelmed with the whole process and specifics of the purchase. We too, were left on our own after the installers came. They didnt even attach the filter to the pool, we actually had to go back to the store to purchase the hoses that attach the filter to the pool for another $50 bucks, which really annoyed me. There were so many additional charges that we may have been told, but they confuse you with so many other details. Just be forewarned, if you purchase the pool, all the other things are extra. The sand for the bottom,(there is an additional charge of $100.00 too if the sand is left on the driveway and the installers have to haul it to the back) the electrical, the escavator, which is a couple of hundred dollars if you're doing a semi-inground, the installers, which all they do is put the pool together and you are on your own after that. No explanations on how to get the filter going, or the chemicals for the pool. My suggestion is to write everything down because when you leave, all you have paid for is the acutal pool.

The sand for the bottom,(there is an additional charge of $100.00 too if the sand is left on the driveway and the installers have to haul it to the back) the electrical, the escavator, which is a couple of hundred dollars if you're doing a semi-inground, the installers, which all they do is put the pool together and you are on your own after that. No explanations on how to get the filter going, or the chemicals for the pool. My suggestion is to write everything down because when you leave, all you have paid for is the acutal pool.

While I am very happy with the products at Brothers Three Pools, I was less than thrilled with some of the misrepresentation of what would be taken care of when we purchased our new pool.

We were novices when we went here and purchased our pool. The pool itself they sold us is fantastic. I am very happy with the pool - it has held up well and is a great product. The accessories and package were all wonderful and the people at Brothers Three have helped us a lot in figuring out how to work various items we had difficulty with until we understood how to care for our pool better.

The problem I has was in the fact that the salesman told us the installers (sub-contractors of Brothers Three) would basically take care of everything: they would basically have the entire pool, pump, deck, stairs, etc. set up and ready to go - all we would have to do is fill the pool and add chemicals. That did not happen. We were basically on our own after the installers assembled the pool and the deck. I had to figure out how to set up the pump and fill it with sand. The installers were nice enough to assemble the stairs for us, but they didnt have to.

So while I do recommend Brothers Three for their products, I would caution people about expecting more than basic service from the installers.
