Buzz Martial Arts LLC

I have been at Buzz Martial Arts for 5 years now and it is amazing, I am a high brown belt. Over all Buzz is if not the best then one of the best martial arts schools in the NYC area. Mr. B (as we call him) is a 4th degree black belt and pushes you to work your hardest. without him i think i wouldn't have been able to be were i am now. He is a teacher who i you take his class you will remember forever. Premier Martial Arts is no were close to as good as Buzz Premier is bigger and more famous but Buzz I can promise you will give you an experience you will cherish for a lifetime. Tiger Shulman is a big martial arts school but they don't test you you pay them to go to a class and within 2 weeks your a higher belt. Buzz Martial Arts is the place to go to learn Tei-Kwan-Do.

I have been training on and off with Buzz for over 10 years. Initially I joined for Self Defense training and to get in shape. I am originally from Detroit, MI and in 2004 I moved back to MI and I was not training. I am in my late 40's approaching 50 and I have yo-yo dieted since I was in my pre-teens. I have gone from being as low as 145 lbs and ballooning up to 242 lbs. During the period of Oct 2004-July 2010 My weight fluctuated between 180 lbs up to 242 down to 177 and back up to 231 lbs which is what I weighed when I came back to NYC in late July of 2010 and have been working out at Buzz Martial Arts since August 2010. Buzz has helped me to achieve my weight loss goal and now I am working on getting in the best shape of my life by 50. I have lost over 80 lbs and weighed in this morning at 148.8 lbs. It is a great place to work out. I read that some people have said Buzz is pushy. Well he has pushed me and has motivated me so I hope that he keeps pushing on.

Great Adult program and great programs for children. He also offers Birthday Parties and has a great Summer Camp Program for children

Been too busy at work lately to visit. But this is definitely a world class place to learn martial arts and grow.

Be aware the size last I visited in on the smaller side by the East Side location is great. But on the bright side, the small size is no detraction from excellent workouts, lots of interesting students, heavily experienced instructors, and new as well as tried and true techniques.

The place is kept clean as possible with so many students working out in such a small area.

In addition to adults they have a thriving children's program, which can double as a learning and exercise for the young ones for a few hours especially useful for working parents. From experience of learning Tae Kwon Do as a child, your child will get more from Tae Kwon Do than many of the alternatives or it can act as a supplement teaching them leadership skills, discipline, respect and boosting self-confidence.

CONS: Can be far if you are far from the Upper East Side.
Its not free (but not much in life is).

PROS: Worth the money. Better than Gym Membership, Scouting, etc.

Amazing workout,amazing instructors,amazing stress-release!

There is no place like Buzz Martial Arts in the city. There is no
instructor like Buzz in the city. He is just too good. They're all
beautiful people here and when I'm in class it's completely
therapeutic, for my mind and body. After class with Buzz, I feel
as though every ounce of stress has been thoroughly removed
from my body. He's just that good!!!

I am a student, i like it because you work well, sweat well and have fun too. i love it and i will keep going there. It is a pleasure to be there, you have fun and have really a really good exercise.

I am a student at Buzz Martial Arts. I absolutely love the staff at Buzz Martial Arts. They provide you with the help, confidence, and strength you need not only to succeed in tae kwon do, but in everything that encounters you in life. I would undoubtedly recommend Buzz to anyone who wants a good, fun, and exciting workout.

Being a mother and finding the right after school activity for my son at an affordable price is extremely important. Not only does Buzz Martial Arts offer such a service, but for a child with endless amounts of energy it is the perfect place for him to "let loose" instead of in the apartment! Buzz has endless amounts of patience and his school is led by a team of wonderful people who truly care about my child. They care about building his confidence and continue to push him to succeed. When leaving my child in the hands of someone other than myself, it's good to know he is with a family owned and operated facility concerned with providing quality instruction.

Buzz is definitely the best martial arts school in NYC. Buzz the teach is very patient, with the right doze of encouragement. Its a great workout, but at the same time you feel like you are enjoying yourself for that hour. Buzz teaches very young kids as well as adults. Evening hours make this place accessible for working professionals like me. I highly recommended this school.
