I was thinking about having my cat's teeth cleaned. Dr. Miller said my cat needed two vaccines in order to have his teeth cleaned. I was thinking about it in his office. Then, without my permission, Dr. Miller gave my cat two vaccines, one of which was a rabies. I always declined the vaccines in the past. I raise my cat holistically by the principles I learned in Dr. Pitcairn's book Complete Guide to Natural Health for Dog's and Cats. My cat could not lift his head off the floor for some 13 hours lying in one place with his head on his paws.

My pug passed at the hands of this vet. "Dr Miller" injected her with a "homeopathic remedy"....1/2 hour later she went into a hepatic coma. This center never followed up on my distraught calls...in fact I was told by this vet that it was "congestive heart failure", and not his problem..... which was disproved by two local vets. It ws called hepatic encephalopathy "Dr. Miller" caused by nux vomica and other items you injected into my dog. This character has lost his license twice. why is he "practicing"....? Run, don't walk from this center. I can't bring my dog back, and i regret and relive every horrible moment, but maybe if you go elsewhere you may not have this experience. In any event, don't let him inject your animal with a "remedy"!!!!!!!

When my 13 year old dog, Weezie, was diagnosed with cancer -- I was devastated! My conventional vet wanted to remove the large mass through surgery which would have greatly affected her quality of life. I wanted to explore all options before I made that decision.
I had read about holisitc medicine and was curious about what the benefits would be and was there a chance these treatments could help my Weezie. I made an appointment with Dr. Miller and the battle against Weezie's tumor began. We changed her diet with an organic dry mix that I cooked with chicken ( Weezie's Favorite) along with accupuncture and other supplements that aid in detoxitication. Weezie lived another 2 years and I watched her health and overall disposition improve dramatically! Dr. Miller and his incredible staff are the reason I will continue to drive 30 mins. in Long Island traffic for my new, healthy pup --Jilly. They will care for your pet as if it were their own.

I have been taking my pets to Dr. Miller for the last 10 years. He has helped my pets using holistic and traditional methods many times. When my 9 year old Yorkie had a knee problem, my old Vet wanted to due an enpensive surgery on him with no guarantee what the outcome would be. I found Dr. Miller and after a few visits and no surgery, my Yorkie was jumping and acting like a puppy agian.I have been going to Dr. Miller since then. I love the staff, they are so caring and loving with all the animals there. I am so glad I found the Animal Wellness Center.

Pros: None, non-management staff were nice to my puppy

Cons: Office appearance, Office manager is rude, they overcharge

I got my puggle from Canine Corral and took him to the vet the store worked with since it was suppose to be a 'free' visit. The vet was fine, asked me if I planned to fix teh dog and said he wanted him back for another booster the front desk would set me up. I went the front desk, they asked me when I could come backand rang me up for $134 I gave them the next date I was available and they printed out an invoice. I asked how much the procedure would cost and they said 350. I told them I would be taking him somewhere else for that. The woman said I wouldn't need to bring himbackso soon and rescheduled him for the following week. I asked her what the deposit was for, she said it was for the neutering but that I can just use it towards my next visit. In the meantime I decided it was not worth driving 45 min to take to this place. So I found an amazing place in Sayville and called to cancel my appointment at Animal Wellness ctr. When I asked them about my credit there, they said that they would call me back since I had used my care credit account. A few days go by, I called again, they said I would need to speak to the office manager and she would call me back. A few more days go by and I call again, finally speak with the office manager. Not only was she rude but tried to say I was lying that no one documented my credit. I told her that I had my pups chart faxed to me earlier since I wanted a complete record for him at the new place and they noted in the chart that I was suppose to get a credit. She said that there was nothing she could do, especially since I was not planning to return. I had my new vet in Sayville go through everything they did, he said they were going to give my puppy boosters that he did not need and that the food they recommend is overpriced, I could get something less expesive and just as nutritous for less. The supplements they had me giving him were too much. The one for the healthy coat was too big and would go bad before I was half way through and it was not necessary to give him three different kinds of supplements. Watch out for the over pricing and over selling.

I took my puppy to the Animal Wellness Center and it was a great experience, the staff was wonderful and caring. The parking is not so good. It unfortunately was too far for me to travel for a vet because I really liked the atmosphere.

Dr. Miller has to be the best vet I have ever dealt with. He believes in a hollistic approach to a pet's well being which is unusual but very effective. My dog loves his special recipe food.
If your pet is taking medication for an illness, you owe it to yourself and your pet to see Dr. Miller. He may be able to help your pet hollistically and without medication. You have nothing to lose.
