Ricky's is a pretty cool store. It makes the most sense to go there before Halloween because they have a huge selection of (good quality) wigs and makeup. However, for the people who are into that stuff all the time, they are lucky this store is here year round, and there are tons of locations too. Besides wigs and fancy makeup they have a lot of hair products and dye, and a bunch of other random stuff. I could never list it all--you will just have to go there and see for yourself.

Ricky's is a fun store with its own unique character and selection of products. They have a lot of hair stuff, from shampoos and hairspray to normal colored dye to the biggest selection of brightly colored dye you will find anywhere in the city. They also have a counter with professional-quality makeup and wigs, and all sorts of other random stuff from pajamas to candy to small joke gift items. There is even a curtained-off "adults only" section in the back.

Why I love Ricky's...
"R"ock & Roll glitter, fishnets, hair extensions & body jewlery!
"I"nexpensive & convenient!
"C"arries even fierce hats, funky pajamas & fab false lashes!
"K"inky goodies in the back!
"Y" Chromosome products avail. (ie. Facial scrubs 4 men)!
"S"assy, sexy, and shimmery!

In high school, I loved Ricky's because it carried beauty products that most other drug stores didn't, like Manic Panic hair dye and neon green nail polish. Also, in the days before Sephora, it was fun to go and try on all the makeup at Ricky's makeup counter (but actually, it's not that much fun, because the salespeople are always watching you). Later in life, however, when I wanted to buy a wig, I was disappointed and outraged to find that at Ricky's, you must buy a $2 "WIG CAP" in order to try on the wigs, and even then, you are not allowed to try on more than three wigs in one visit. If you come back another time to try on more wigs, believe it or not you have to buy ANOTHER WIG CAP.

Rickys is the one place where you can always find the latest trends and items that no other place may carry (like purple hair spray). They always carry something new and they have lots of affordable, fun beauty items.

Rickys has always seemd like a fun place for me offering everything from hair products to bedroom slippers and tees to incense. Like a mini buying disco this place is a must see for everyone.

Great assortment of Sugar flip flops!

I love Ricky's!!! They have great make-up, especially eye shadow (you should go to the counter to check out the eye shadow)!
They also have a great selection of Sugar flip flops!
