Ballys in Levittown is the cleanest, most ample, and equipped Ballys location on the south shore.

Pros
Updated equipment
Large cardio room
Racket court
Spin room
Large indoor track
**Olympic sized pool and hot tub
Huge locker rooms
Bang for your buck

Cons
Limited class schedules
Limited paper towels/water fountain stations
Peak hours are packed (as is the case with every other gym)

i LOVE LOVE LOVE THE CLASSES..THE CYCLE CLASSES AT NIGHT ARE INCREDIBLE.I REALLY GET A GREAT WORKOUT EVERYTIME I GO..NEW BIKES AND ALL

I started my Bally membership 6 monthes ago and I couldnt be any happier, contrary to some comments here the place is run well and the staff very helpful and friendly. I've lost a total of 18 pounds since I started. I feel comfortable and love knowing that everytime I come to workout I am always made to feel like I belong. The place is cleaned daily I even see managers on the floor cleaning after people that leave a mess. After leaving the $10 place I am really happy I dont have to worry about walking into pizza night or tootsie rolls all over the place. I recommend this place, I'm a happy member.

This is the most disgusting gym on the island. The sweat is caked onto the machines, which they clean with a feather duster (seriously). There are no paper towels to clean off anything, so it just sits.The gym is run by people who have no idea how to train, so you aren't really getting a service either. The only positive is the price, but honestly I'd rather pay $10 more per month than go to this hole, which I did.

Some highlights from this gym:
-Overcrowded, especially during peak times
-Extremely hot, especially in the basement
-Disgusting people (men walking around naked in the bathrooms)
-aloof staff

In answer to Anna...(Just me H. didn't call anyone FAT--just overweight) There are some good staff, but the general "feeling" doesn't promote friendliness or a willingness to help. There have been SCAMS that I experienced personally...why do I still go? CONVENIENCE only...I can walk there! I do not go to a gym for the appearance of others, but HEALTH is important and a place that's dirty is not good. Just as YOU are entitled to YOUR opinion...so is everyone else. I will NOT respond to any other response. My opinion...my right!

I enjoy bally's in Levittown. Not to the Staff's fault but I think the place could use some remodeling and i'm sure they will bank! its in a prime location. As for the comment (Just me H) on Fat staff. I only saw 1 who is a tad over weight but who said they aren't healthy. Darling, Not everyone that goes or works at a gym need to have a body that looks like an athlete. Shame on you for calling people fat. Aren't we all there for that specific reason? to get HEALTHY. A gym is not a fashion show. Trust me I've seen my fair shair of the chatty/hanging out/sexy wearing outfit members. But I'm not there to check people out, judge or chat for that matter. I'm there with the one purpose and that is to work out. The place serves it's purpose. The staff is super nice and willing to help you with anything. I know if you need someone to give you that jump to get you going and lose that weight talk to Cesar the PT director. He truly is out to help you get your goal to weight loss started. I as do agree that anyone in any business should be aware of the product they are selling, I find it refreshing that I don't have to walk into a gym where only muscleheads and barbie dolls work and judge you from the momemnt you walk in. The staff welcomes you as if you are part of them and help you to achieve your goals. I think it is great that they are very knowledgeable and understand what it is like to lose weight as we all struggle. If you are looking for direction and are serious about achieving goals then this is your place. I am a happy member, thank you to staff at Levittown that don't get full credit for running a great gym.

I believe any place of business should reflect the general attitude of its staff and this Bally's does...rude and totally self-absorbed. I also feel that since HEALTH is being promoted...there shouldn't be so many overweight STAFF...hello! COME SEE FOR YOURSELVES...the place is dirty and a lot of machines are broken. Oh...another thing...if you ever lose your membership card...you ARE entitled to a COMPLIMENTARY one....according to the main Bally Total Fitness in California! If you DO pay the ten bucks...get a receipt or don't pay!!

I love the Levittown location I have lost 65 pounds with the help of the staff that is very friendly and helpful. From the first day I walk in I felt timid to join, the manager greeted me put my concerns first, gave me a fair price ,introduced me to the benefits of Personal Training and lifestyle change. My trainer is the best and the manager still asks me how I am doing and greets me by first name. Thank you to the staff for saving my life. I read the other comments but I disagree with most I would recommend that u try out the gym if you really are interested in making a change.

I moving to levitown for one year and i love the ballys. I like the ballys because it big and having lot of machine. I always going the monday class and i love it the class. The instructor is very good teaching. I always going the swimming because the have the good exercise for the everything body. Other time i walking to the ballys in the night when theres no lot of people. I think is good gyn.

I love this Bally's!! I've been going there for years. I've NEVER EVER EVER had a problem with anything there. The staff is nice, the members are nice. they really do have everything there. I lost 78 pounds and I'm the happiest I've been in a long time and I do owe it in part to the levittown bally's. I just recently signed up my son. the sales guy gave us a great deal. if you ask they will help you out. Bally's of L-Town gets a 5 out of 5 from me!!

I've been using the levittown ballys for quite some time now (about 6 yrs) and i think its a very good gym. Right in the heart of long island. Decent equiptment. i always get a good work out in. I disagree about the weekend staff. great welcoming atmosphere, that guy lee on the weekday mornings is great, every saturday and sunday that guy joe is always there a couple minutes early to open the gym. the weekday morning and weekend staff is always very nice and friendly too..my only complaint is a new girl with glasses who claims shes the manager (the manager is oscar - not her) shes rude and nasty to the members, she does not allow you to sign up for racket ball and gives an attitude if you forget your membership card once, which is why i can only give 4 stars. but hey i guess you have take the good with the bad. otherwise GREAT location.

I've been a member of Bally's for 23 years and have been using this particular location since it opened. For the most part this is a poorly run location. I've had a number of issues over the years that I've brought to the attention of workers that were almost always ignored. The weekend crew, particularly a guy named Joe hangs out at the desk and never asks anyone for ID (I just stroll in past the desk) while Joe reads the paper. One time, I left a new cell phone at the gym. I called Joe. He confirmed that he had the phone. By the time I got to the gym the next day, it was gone.
The only exception is the morning crew (Lee and a woman). The woman, in particular is a hound about getting your ID and she takes the job seriously. There is also an excellent yoga instructor on Sunday morning.
Overall, workers simply hang out, socialize with each other and pay no attention to what's going on.
