I can highly recommend Tony Rome's Globe Hotel as a great place for dining. I have never, in over 25 years of patronage, been disappointed with a meal or the service. The food is excellent with great care taken to accommodate the patron's requests. The menu choices are varied with many specials offered throughout the year. My personal favorites are the fish frys and the grilled chicken salad but you can't go wrong no matter what you order when you dine at the Globe.

The food is delicious, the atmosphere is perfectly historical, and the service is outstanding. Tony Rome's has the best patio around for dinning or drinking and relaxing. It is obvious the staff takes pride in their work, the place is spotless which is refreshing. Highly reccomended

We have always had a wonderful experience at Tony Rome's Globe Hotel in East Aurora. The grilled chicken salad with their homemade lemon garlic dressing is 'to die for'. The service is terrific, the barteners always make you feel at home. We stay at the Hampton Inn when we are in town and wouldn't dream of going anywhere else.

I am shocked by bad review of Tony Rome's Globe Hotel in East Aurora. We have been patrons there for over 10 years, since first discovering this treasure. The atmosphere goes along with the history of the town and the building, that was built in 1824. One of our favorite things about 'The Globe' is that it's impeccably clean and well kept. The menu is awesome, always fresh and excellent quality food as well as variety. You will not be disappointed.

Every so often I like going to Tony Rome's for a fish fry. We meet friends at the bar and then we are seated at a nice table. I don't feel rushed and we are able to enjoy our meal. No matter who gets what, everyone likes what they ordered.

This is a casual restaurant. The atmosphere, which some people call charming, is more appropriately described as worn-out.

Our first visit to Tony Romes Globe Hotel & Restaurant was on a night where we were obliged to give the benefit of the doubt (thus... the return trip). It was East Aurora's Carolcade night, which causes an huge influx of people on Main Street. The service was incredibly slow.

The food was as much a let down as the speed of the service. The ribs, which is why we went, were not tender and the bbq sauce was simply sub-par. Vegetables were of the canned-and-cubed variety.

Our second visit was on a weeknight with less than half the tables occupied. The service was faster that our first visit, but not as attentive as one would expect with seemingly little pressure on the wait staff.

The food on our second visit was virtually an exact repeat of our visit.

My guess as to the continued *apparent* success of this establishment, is that the clientele appreciates the unpretentious atmosphere, and the ability to bulk up without breaking the bank.

PROS: It's possible to bust your belly for cheap
CONS: Drab atmoshpere, boring middle-America food
