I have lived in Kensington for about 6 years now and have seen the pizza slowly go down the tubes. The only one that has lasted is Korner Pizza. Now it says on the awning that is was EST. in 1966 so I'm assuming that they own the building. But, that doesn't justify the price of there slices!!! Which at this date are around $2.50. Anyone who has taken as economics class knows abut supply and demand... and this pizza place is a perfect example. IT'S THE ONLY PLACE LEFT!!!! I was in there one and I overheard one of the employees arguing with one of the customers over the price... and blamed it on the high gas prices( I think they were high at the time) but sine then the gas prices have gone down and the pizza prices have gone up!!! This pizza is awful. Take the subway a couple of stops and pay 50c less per slice and go to Park Slope. I think the place is called Smilies. It right off the F train. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!!

OK OK There are great pizzerias all over brooklyn...everybody knows that. Each one has it's own little charm. Korner has been a solid pizzeria since i've been in the neighborhood of Kensington. It easily outdoes any of its local peers. The plain pizza is excellent. Some claim that DiFara is the best. I won't knock the old man, but his pizza is often a test of patience and tolerance for burnt offerings. As far as some of the other "better local pizzeria's"...uncle phils makes by far the best spinach roll. you might also try the regular slices at new park,... but pound for pound,..I'd put a slice of Korner up against any of the more well known pizzerias. honorable mention goes to Angelo's (grandma's and sicilian) on Main st. and Jewel (flushing). My humble opinion is that L & B should stick to spumoni. For a tasty slice, try the pizzeria around the Korner. I can hardly get by a week without a dose from Korner Pizza.

Pros: awesome slice

Cons: recent price increase

The pizza from this store was very good. The price is a little higher than other pizza joints around the neighborhood. The pizza had plenty of cheese and pepperoni compared to other places where its thin as a sheet of paper. Also, they had a great selection of pizzas. Some of them I wouldn't even try because it sounded so exotic. The anchovies they added was also very fresh. I would definitely go there again. The expensive price is well spent for such high quality pizza.

This is the best pizzeria in kensington, kind of expensive. Adequate seating inside and outside, espescially on a nice day. Weird location, but really cheesey.

I was born and raised in Brooklyn and for most of my life I lived on Ocean Parkway (between Beverly Rd and Church Avenue). Everytime I bought a slice or a pie of pizza it was at Korner Pizzeria. I've tried Pizza in all 5 boroughs of New York City and I can assure you this is the best.

I moved out to California in early 2000 and everytime I go home to visit where do you think I buy pizza? My husband who's a California native also swears it's the BEST slice of pizza he's ever had.

Pizza's always just the way we like it. Crispy crust, delicious sauce. Friendly service. Nice neighborhood pizzeria. Lots of faithful regulars.
