I normally don't write reviews although I should however after seeing the review below I felt inclinded to share my experience. Pylos is a wonderful restaurant - the ambiance, food, service. You feel like you are dining somewhere outside of NYC. I've been several times and my favorite thing to do at this restaurant is share a bunch of items. I really like this restaurant and keep coming back.

Worst restaurant experience I have ever had. My group was unable to enjoy the food because the management was extremely unprofessional. Without calling him over the manager made a point to come to the table to yell at my group. You can imagine our shock and distress at what can only be conceived as an attack over nothing that had been done by our group. Also, he refused to answer any of our questions or discuss why he was yelling but simply continued to rant loudly, make derogatory remarks and walk away.

No food is worth such unprovoked ill treatment. Nothing could make me set foot in that place of business again. I will simply continue to patronize other restaurants and cross this one off my list.

Pros: No pros

Cons: Unprofessional management

I went to dinner the other night with a few couples and we went to Pylos and we were very pleased with the service and the delicious food. We drank 3 bottles of the most delicious wine between 6 people. The food was moderately priced and we definitely left there feeling satisfied with our meal. I definitely would go back to this restaurant and I recommend it very highly.

The clay pots hanging from the ceiling in this modernly rustic spot seem to pour conviviality on its patrons, who sit cheerfully chatting among whitewashed and brick walls, wood floors and snug, pillow-lined benches. They've welcomed…
