.

I think I went to Arbak day camp the summer before kindergarten. A group from the neighborhood walked to where a bus would meet us and take us to Arbak. I recall just one week where we kicked in chilly water in an outdoor pool most days. One day, we sat on a pony and took short turns leading it. And I recall the camp name as we sang it. Using the tune for "There was a farmer, who'd had a dog and Bingo was his name-o," we sang about a camp and Arback was its name-o. A cherished memory of my first camp, over 45 years ago. Happy place. Glad to hear it still is active.
