My wife purchased a '11 Sorento today (01/20/11). Our salesman, Mike D., was very friendly and professional and made our purchasing experience very pleasantl. We received a great deal on our trade and the vehicle that she wanted was delivered on time. The staff that was in the showroom were very personable and friendly to our children.

My experience with Mike D. and Lazare has been a 5 star plus experience. I spent countless hours researching different cars and dealerships on the internet. I talked to Mike extensively about any concerns and questions I had with the Kia I was interested in (2010 Forte) on the phone days before setting foot in the showroom. He was professional, friendly, very informative and took as much time as I needed to answer my questions. He gave me the facts and did not try to tell me what he thought I wanted to hear. I respect that more than anything. When we did step into the showroom, my son and I could feel a much more positive and customer friendly atmosphere in Lazare than we had felt in the 2 dealerships we visited earlier in the day. Mike got us a great deal and the trade was more than fair. He has been there for us beyond the sale and delivery of the keys; a real good guy, not just a good salesman. I would recommend to anyone looking for a car to visit Lazare Kia and ask for Mike Donovan before settling on something else. And if that's not enough, my son is a big fan of his new car!

I was referred to Lazare Kia this summer and it was a complete nightmare. I was made to wait about 4 hours into the evening to get a figure on what I would be paying monthly on a 2010 model car. Within this time, I advised him my credit was light, but I was uneasy about bringing on the only co-signer I had available, because she had just applied for a rather large car loan herself and wasn't sure if her credit should be run so soon. The sales person advised me of two things at this point: First, my co-signer probably would not have to have her credit run as her income is rather high and secondly, I need a co-signer because of my age. When he came back with the figure I could get, it was quite low and I was very pleased, so I signed the initial paperwork. I had to arrange for my trade-in to be picked up, so it was worked out I'd finish up the paperwork the next morning and give him the final decision on how we were gonna arrange the switch.
When I returned the next morning, I was made to wait nearly 4 more hours while the sales person "talked to his finance guy". I was quite confused, as he had "talked to his finance guy" last night to give me the monthly payment on the new car. When his finance guy was done, the payment was disclosed to me as nearly twice the original figure and he had run my credit and my co-signer's credit 3 times in a row. I was fairly angry over this to which he replied, "Don't worry, running it won't hurt anything."
I've been in the banking industry for 3 years and it was a blatant lie to tell me that 3 hard hits to my credit wouldn't hurt anything. They ruined my chances of looking for another car that day, most likely because they assumed I was a sucker and would fall for a bait and switch.
I declined the outrageous raise in price because it was $125 more than what I advised him I could afford each month and asked to speak to a manager. I was told by the manager that it wasn't his fault I have what he thought was bad credit and refused to admit any sort of deal was previously made. I was called a liar when I told the sales person that I told him about my light credit, but then when I asked for the sales person's original notes, he had written it down. He had also written down the offer and had me sign underneath it.
I left, quite upset, but returned later that day, looking to get copies of all the paperwork I had signed because he told me I can't have all the original documents because they keep them on file for 7 years. The manager was incredibly cold to me and refused to give me Kia's corporate number or the owner's number. He told me, "I don't work for you." No problem, I said and then immediately went next door to Lazare Mercury and got the owner's number in less than a minute.
Lazare Kia obviously thought that because I'm a young woman that they could do a little switcheroo on me and not expect me to get angry.

Took my car in here to get something fixed. I was able to get an appointment within a week and they could fix it quickly. Surprisingly they actually fixed it and it has not broke again yet. Also, unlike most car fixing places they did not break something else to have to go back and get it fixed. Excellent service!
