This restaurant is small, but cozy. There is a great range of Italian food and very reasonable prices. The water is free. The tables and waiters are really professional. The best table is in the back, it has a little bit of privacy.

I have visited this restaurant several times. Great Italian food, good service and cozy atmosphere. Pleasant and friendly service. Bar has good drinks. Will not hesitate to continue to eat there....

Osso buco is an excellent option for italian food on the ues. The ambiance is fairly nice. You can sit outside on their little deck. The staff is very friendly and they sometimes have very good coupons that make a big meal very affordable.

This place is a jewl. Absolutely loved the food! and the waiters were incredibly friendly. The prices are unbelievable for the quality of food and service. Their sidewalk cafe is a great touch. My friends and I love visiting in the warm days just adds to the already pleasant experience.
I just went here for the first time this past weekend with a group of friends. The service was horrible! If you ask for anything, it's like you're bothering the servers to actually do work! Hello! Isn't that your job? It wasn't even busy! And the time it took to actually get someone's attention, let alone for anyone to even walk by (there was no one to be found - only seated customers, but no staff around at times), took forever! When we got there, we were waiting for the rest of our party to come, but in the meantime wanted to order an appetizer & he had the audacity to comment "Just one appetizer for 8 people?" when we had said that we would order more once they arrived (but we were hungry and couldn't wait!). All in all, the service (if you can call it that) is horrible. The staff is rude and they take forever. I wasn't even full & could have eaten dessert, but it wouldn't be worth the time it would take to wait to see a dessert menu, find someone to take the order, wait for it to come, and then get the check. The food was OK and not too pricey, but I wouldn't recommend Osso Buco to anyone based on the bad service.
Cons: rude staff & slow service
The food was good, the place is nice. Candle lit dinner at night. The fettucine was good, it was very creamy. The service not so great, not bad though just seemed like he rather not be at work.
Pros: Cheap food, nice place.
Cons: Service, certain waiters.
THIS PLACE WAS THE WORST FOOD I HAVE HAD IN NYC!!! I ordered delivery for saturday movie night (30 bucks for apetizer, salad, and pasta) and it was so terrible I coudn't even eat it. I ordered the stuffed mushrooms, which were vile, the cesar salad, the lettuce was soggy and limp, and the fettucini alfredo, which tasted like noodles and butter. I will never, never, never get delivery from here again. I wish I could have returned the food for my 30 bucks.
I went here for dinner and was pretty impressed with the food. The calamari was awesome, and the portions were large. The bill was 75 bucks for 3 entrees, 1 app and a bottle of wine. Not bad.
Drawback? Our waiter was unbelievably cranky.
This place is really nothing special and I would never go back. The food was really not very good and service was so-so. We sat upstairs where there were 2 other very large parties and you really couldn't hear the people next to you. Some dishes were very good- like the fried calamari, but others were so disappointing that the good one's were soon forgotten. Skip the baked clams and stuffed mushrooms.
This is the place for Italian on the Upper East side. Portions are generous enough for you to share with your friends or take home. Could be romantic or a great place to gather with friends. I love their bread and the fact that the bottled water is free, flat or sparkling. Unfortunately, their soda is always flat. I always leave their very full, but be prepared to be thirsty later on; food can be salty.
Pros: Big portions, Affordable, Free bottled water
Cons: Flat soda, Salty
I went there with a large party for my brother's graduation from college and we had a great time! No complaints from anyone in my family, which was miraculous...they are usually very fussy. The food was tasty and the prices were good (almost everyone stuck to single portions). The service was very good as well.
Pros: prices, decor, location
I have been there twice already! Both times I have really enjoyed the food! They give a great amount, enough for lunch tomorrow. I went with a large party, the service was prompt and gracious. They even offered an after dinner drink, on the house! I recommend this restaurant to anyone who asks for a recommendation. I intend on returning there to celebrate my birthday! It is that good!
Pros: Inexpensive, Good Service, No wait!
Cons: None
Me and my parents have tried this place 3 times in the last 6 months. If wasn't for the good food, we would not have returned. Can't find "less service" on the UES.Waiters much more interested on what's on TV then on our needs as custumers. We will be back, because the food is really good and the prices are right, but if you don't want to have to wait FOR THE NEXT COMERCIAL BREAK TO GET SERVICE, TRY SOMEPLACE ELSE!!
Pros: Food, ambience, full bar
Cons: service, service, service
I have been twice in this restaurant with my wife and friends, the atmosphere is not bad even the service is mediocre,to be an italian restaurant I notice that the staff were almost Albanians as for the food I expected more for what you pay,the food is not big deal the main course portion are quite small and too simple,I know they have another place downton I will give a try to that one to see the difference.
I went with a group of people to celebrate a birthday for one of us and it was a holiday evening so they had a special menu. When the reservation was made we told them we didn't want the special menu since we were doing a birthday, not the holiday and they said fine. When it came time to take the order the waiter gave us a hard time, walked away then came back with a paper and pen for us to write down what we wanted...excuse me but isn't that his job??? The manager then told us we could order from whatever menu we wanted but by that time we were so annoyed with the waiter and the resturant that we let and went some place else.
The atmosphere was nice and the staff was friendly. I went with a group of 6. We ordered a salad, appetizer, and three entrees. I was full, but not stuffed by the large, but manageable portions. The food was good, but not spectacular. It's a decent value for the price.
