Mmm, Ollie's! They are so tasty, fast, and cheap. Even though they are a chain, they have surprisingly delicious and fresh tasting food. I would recommend their sesame chicken. It is crunchy on the outside, instead of that usual soggy chicken you get at most Chinese take-out. Great flavor, and juicy on the inside. Really good noodles here as well - you can't miss with their lo-mein. It's not a gourmet restaurant, but it is definitely delicious food! They're open late too!

Great food, great serving size and a good spot if you're headed to a Broadway show! It's a lot more than a noodle shop, the fried rice is delicious and I agree that you'll definitely have leftovers. Maybe try ordering a few dishes to share around the table and you'll be happy that you did!

I often walk by this place and because it is pack all the time, i end up trying it, it stinks.
I ordered a duck salad and some shrim and pork dumpling, both was fat and tasted horrible.
It is and will remain for me a mystery, why so many people eat here every day?

I really did not enjoy the food here. I had the general tso chicken, a dish I always order and my boyfriend had the tuna. The tuna was bland and overcooked and my chicken was over fried. We had to send back the tuna and get another dish.Service was good and co-operative in taking back the tuna, but I would suggest trying some other dishies.

This place used to be great. But I'm not in the area as much as I used to be. I hadn't been to this Ollie's in about a year. And what a difference a year can make. This went from a place to travel out of your way for to nothing special. It's not horrible but I don't think I'll be back for a long time. What a shame. I just had dinner recently at the Ollie's near Lincoln Center and that continues to be good. I believe all the Ollie's have different owner groups and chefs. So they all have different menus.

I just wanted to say that if it wasn't because I was with my friends I wouldn't left more than just a penny. I liked the fried rice and all the rest of the entrees, but the service was simply the worst ever had.

Next time I will just have my order to go and enjoy with friends at home or watching a good tv program, but don't go and eat there, chances are that the waitresses might pun... you in your face with her attitude.

Look out, its trendy, its corporate, and its ... Chinese? The prices here are slightly higher than your average Chinese takeout, with better variety and a much cleaner restaurant. Its too bad the food tastes funky and the best they have is everything American-Style.

I honestly think this is the best chinese food place.. I either order out or sit in for lunch at least twice a month. This place is incredibly inexpensive and really good food with good portions so be careful what you order you many not finish it. The waiters, well they're just "blah" but the food makes up for the service. I will have to say one time I went to dinner after a movie and stayed there for 3 hours after my meal talking to friends and they waiters didn't bother us until it was time to close. I would recommend trying the mixed dumplings, their sesame or tso's chicken, vegetable fried rice and wonton soup. I am getting hungry just thinking about it. The decor? Well from outside you'd think its just a typical order out place but once you past the kitchen towards the main dinning room, you'll see that its a lot nicer. Two floors can't beat it. Good for groups if you want to share different dishes.

We were in New York June 18-24 and ate here twice. It was great, everything we had on both nights was really good. I wish I could have eaten here another time. The Chow Fun was excellent and the soups we had, had really good flavor and lots of Bbq Pork.

solid food at a solid price. dependable chinese food, quick delivery, fresh veggies--- i always order from this place and i keep on coming back. i have a friend who flies in from jacksonville florida and insists on either eating at ollie's or a fancy steak house around town. ollie's is obviously the more economical option... i've been eating at ollie's since it opened in 1989 up by columbia u. the food at the multiple ollie's locations vary in quality-- the lincoln center area ollie's is definitely my favorite, although the 116th street location does have a special place in my heart. Best deal is the wonton noodle soup, and ask for extra noodles-- you get a big meal for under $6...

What to say about Ollie's. It's basically the americanized franchised version of chinese restaurants. They offer a quick, clean, and easy dining experience. The service seats you, takes your order, and puts it on ur table. No small talk or pleasantries not out of meaness but just the designs of a well oiled machine. The food is good and offers all the dishes you'd expect to find in a traditional chinese restaurant. Again it's not old school authentic chinese food but it's good and gets the job done. If you're lookin for that authentic chinese taste or the romantic ambience to take a date, expect to be disappointed. But if u're looking for good simple chinese food made easy to order u've found u're place.

I've been here several times because it always looks so tempting when I walk by hungry. I'm always disappointed. The service is fast and efficient, but the food is usually bland and drenched in a sauce.

Good local place, but nothing exciting. Standouts: hot & sour soup, dumplings, sweet & sour chicken (very crisp, all white, nice sauce), moo shu pork (get extra pancakes). Pass: wonton soup (tastes fishy) & sizzle platters (not sizzling).

Food comes quick, but service is minimal. They try to get you in and out with little interaction.

Don't try to order at the pick-up window at Ollies - the workers behind the counter are mean to customers and quick to deliver an evil stare and an ill-tempered sigh of disgust, unprovoked. They are negligent in alerting customers when an order is ready - you could end up waiting for half an hour while your food is sitting on their counter getting cold. The food is overpriced for what they deliver, the menu is slim for vegetarians, and the food is incredibly oily. This place rates terribly, overall.

Ollie's has fairly decent food. They have the best Sweet & Sour Chickent that I've tasted so far in NYC. The Atomosphere is comfortable too.

Ollie's is an all around good restaurant. Mostly we go there for the great appetizers. Great place for vegetarians. The vegetable dumplings are consistently good. Service isn't great but food is worth it.

Fast, cheap, tasty. Not the cleanest place in the world, but a very good value none-the-less. A good place to bring kids - or for college students on a budget.

You can't beat Ollie's for a fast, tasty, inexpensive lunch or dinner. Their everything noodle soup and a plate of mixed steamed dumplings with sustain you through the most arduous sightseeing or the longest Broadway production. Service is a little spotty and impersonal but what can you expect in a place this large and busy. You will always be seated promptly and can count on no bad surprises in terms of food quality, service, or cleanliness. I recommend this for budget minded diners or anyone in a hurry. The location is convenient too. Oddly enough, its hard to get some chopsticks!

If you are in a bit of a rush and want chinese food then Ollies is your place. The food is greasy, the service is fast, the wait can be long. If you are dining off peak hours you should be in and out in a short time.
