Had their pigs in a blanket and got severe food poisoning. It was rather early in the day (11 am) so maybe they just used the food from the night before. no idea. It was the only thing I had to eat all day - and about 8 hours later I was feeling very sick. Ended up at st.vincents downtown for two days on my vacation to NYC. Nice.

If you are a Yankee fan you must eat at Mickey Mantle's. The restaurant is filled with sports memorabilia but the main focus is the Yankees. The food is typical American. Steaks, burgers, fish, and pasta. The burgers are over priced but the food is good. The chocolate martinis are excellent.

They have some of the best burgers in the city hands down. It is also a great place to watch a game, but then has a tendency to get crowded. I would also recommend the hot wings which are big enough to have as an entree. If you are looking for a place that is more conducive for good conversation I would avoid. It can get pretty loud in there sometime.

Pros: Burgers

Cons: Could be a little quieter.

On my recent visit to Mickey Mantle's I overheard other patrons talking about how THEMICKS restaurant got new owners. I have not been here in a few years, but the changes are apparent. Food was great (French Onion soup and a Stip Steak!) Place was clean, great plates and I noticed some renovations (new floor and carpets in the back, new lights, etc). The memorabilia was also amazing, museum type stuff...really mind blowing! My bartender Mick, whom was very friendly and professional, told me that they are also getting 26 flat screen Hi-Def televisions at the end of December...all I know is that I am definately going back often to watch my Yankees play to win the World Series in 2006!!! Whoever the new owners are, Mick would be proud...very proud (even though I hear one them is a METS fan!!!)

This was our 2nd time visiting here, and we always enjoy our visits! This is a must-see place if you are a Yankees fan, or just a baseball fan in general. The restaurant is right across the street from Central Park and next to the Plaza Hotel, and they do offer some outside, sidewalk dining. There is a TON of memorabilia all over the place, and plenty of great picture taking opportunities. The food is also pretty good, although the price is a little more expensive than normal. They have great beer mugs that you can buy when you're done drinking - be sure to ask about them! If you can, plan your visit while a Yankees game is on TV. It's more fun that way!

Painfully average food at tourist prices in an uninspired setting are the hallmarks of this sports bar. The baseball memorabilia is unimpressive and "garage sale." Not even a very good place to watch a game with buddies as the atmosphere is more Times Square tourist than earnest baseball fan. Overall, a major disappointment.

Cons: overpriced

I expected overpriced from this theme restaurant, so I wasn't surprised at the $17 caesar salad. The menu promised the best ribs in the world, instead we were served ribs that had an aftertaste that I can best describe as Palmolive. I ordered the lobster club, which was entirely devoid of flavor. One of the worst meals I've ever had!!! Service was dimwitted, but pleasant.
