You won??t find a Sally??s in Manhattan, but there are two in Brooklyn and one in Queens. It caters to a more suburban and less affluent demographic than Sephora. They also have a full line of salon supplies and are a favorite for people within the industry. I love that they??ve added an ??As Seen on TV? section, where one can find all kinds of cool hair and beauty accessories, such as the wildly popular ??Bumpits? hairstyling tool. Besides the usual array of make-up and hair care products, they have dozens of varieties of massage oil and creams, travel containers, nail tool implements and an extensive selection of African-American themed hair products. I love their selection of magnifying mirrors (they have dozens of them), necessary for extracting blackheads via European facials). My favorite is the Zadro Z' Fogless Lighted Shower Mirror. Using the mirror in the shower, the steam from the hot shower can open up your pores and keep them open, while you used a close-comedone (blackhead) extractor (also available for sale at Sally??s) to squeeze and push out the dirt and oil that clogs your pores. I also adore their Ardell Brow Perfection Stencils, for eyebrow waxing or plucking, where perfection and symmetry matters. You won??t find stuff like this at the drugstore!

They have both a Sally??s Club Rewards card that saves you about 15% off, and a Sallys?? Pro card for beauty or salon professionals. They even have an educational rewards card for students enrolled in cosmetology programs.
