Dr. Roshkind has been the most thorough and compassionate doctor we have met. She has taken excellent care of our three cats and has gone above and beyond the norm for their health and well being. Our family is truly grateful to Dr. Roshkind and her team and we highly recommend them.

This is a dirty, smelly place. I should have walked out at once, but instead stayed...big mistake. The much praised 'separate' waiting rooms for cats and dogs no longer exists, so if you have problems mixing it up in a tiny, nasty little waiting room the size of a large broom closet, look elsewhere. This is not a progressive, up-to-date practice but instead is one that is circling the drain. Just my belief and opinion of course....you may love it.

If you want a vet that cares about your animal- not about his own packet go somewere else. They also call themself members of Friend of Animals but do not accept their certification.

especially for certain larger breeds. I had a Rottweiler pup that i brought to her once years ago and she was not very receptive of him at all, even made a comment on the breed, so i could tell she was not partial to these type of dogs so i never took him back. Forward 8 years later recently when i got my new toy breed pup and decided to give her another try...this pup she was very warm with, HOWEVER what a sneak...i called ahead to ask what vaccines were necessary for the pup and was told the core distemper & rabbies. So i had my wife take the pup, the good doctor did not administer either, instead she gave him bordatella which is totally uneccesary unless you are goign to hve groomed or kenneled or exposure to alot of other dogs. This was not discussed with my wife at all so she assumed it was what i had discussed over the phone, shame on me for not checking the paperwork as i unknowingly went back for what i thought to be the final distemper booster a couple of weeks later, insataed she gave the 2nd bordatella and a 2nd unecessary de-worming (which again she did not discuss with me beforehand and i didnt realize until i got the bill!) Whats worse is that i had to pay for the office visit just to get the bordatella booster which most vets do not charge for if only the booster. She also had intentions on giving him heartworm and lyme which again is not necessary except for certain times of the year and under certain circumstances under which you dog is being housed,so if he is not going to be inthe yard much...not worth the cost unless you want total coverage. Also have to mention the cramped and extremely hot in the summer waiting room for dogs...pass on this one if you can, lots of other vets in the area.

A few years back, my chihuahua got attacked by a German Shepard/wolf mix...He didn't do so well when he was left alone near the other dogs in their crates, so Central Valley put him in a fish tank for oxygen and wheeled him everywhere with them. He did so much better, and healed so much quicker, because they took him everywhere with them and didn't leave him alone! Then, recently, he got real old (almost 17) and I had to put him to sleep...They were very respectful and as nice as possible. They made sure he was comfortable during, and called me as soon as his ashes came back to them so I could pick him up.I miss the little sucker, but I would recommend Central Valley to anybody. I wouldn't take any future pet anywhere else.

I have never experienced a more loving and caring veterinarian in my life. I moved up here 5 years ago and had 5 cats. all of them received the care they needed, especially my Puddins. He was diabetic and last year diagnosed with congestive heart failure. Given only 3-6 months, he was with me for 10 months. Through those ten months, I was given red carpet treatment by Dr. Roshkind because of her love for animals. I cannot even begin to talk about what she did for us and him, but I am thankful for her, because it was her that acted quickly thus allowing us those extra 10 months to love him. My name is Samantha, and I highly recommend her services in this area.

Dr. Roshkind has a very special relationship with animals, and is very knowledgeable! The staff is nice and helpful, and the new clinic has very up to date equipment and is friendly! The only con is that she is often running late, and you may have to wait up to an hour past the time of your appointment. She is worth the wait, you just have to know to plan for it!
