Blockbuster are always up-to-date with new released films. They seriously have thousands of copies and you wouldn't have to worry about not being able to rent one. The price is just costly for a movie and sometimes the movie is only for a 3 day rental. Sometimes they have new released video games but all the new ones are basically rented so you'll never be able to get once since they only have like 2 copies.

For a Blockbuster in Manhattan, this one doesn't have that much. If you're looking for an indie film, don't go to blockbuster, but especially this one. The employees aren't helpful and they make themselves scarce - pretending to be busy.

I don't like Blockbuster...they are silly to me. With so many other GOOD places to go for movie rentals, Blockbuster is left in the dust. They don't offer nearly the selection of other rental stores and they don't have a very helpful staff either. Go elsewhere.

Possibly the worst video store in the city

There are probably about a thousand video stores in New York, and many of them are of the super-large-have-every-video variety, so why anyone would go to Blockbuster voluntarily is beyond me. I suppose if you're looking for the latest big action film release, it will always be there, but nothing else will. Their selection is horrible. 300 copies of the latest Will Smith movie, and nothing else. You would think in a city this independent minded they would have a few other more obscure films, but no. Also, they picked their employees from the School of Dunces. Don't expect any help finding your film, and don't expect them to lift a finger to help you at all. They don't care, and that is why Blockbuster sucks.
