The Inn was lovely, quiet, & nicer than it looked on their website. I felt very lucky to find a place that did not require a 2 night min. stay and had twin beds as I planned an overnight trip for my mother & myself. Michael, the proprietor, was extremely helpful with ideas of what to do in the area in addition to the Hyde Park Historic Sites (which were great too). The website had great contact information, making mapping very easy. We took Michael's suggestions & visited Wethersfield, Millbrook Winery & Innisfree Gardens - all relaxing & lovely. He was very welcoming when we arrived, even helped with the luggage. The Penny room was clean, not as small as it looked online & very comfortable (2 beds, nice chair, desk, etc). They even turned down the beds. The Copper shower was spacious & had great water pressure! The living & dining rooms were very comfortable. Michael made us feel at home. The coffee was great & the breakfast was okay (I probably should've asked for something else). They were very accommodating with our food allergies. The banana bread & the jam were very good. Didn't have time to enjoy the grounds, though they looked nice too. Would recommend it & would stay again if I was down that way. Did have the same problem others had mentioned about seeing the driveway - it took a couple of tries (& it was daylight I'm sad to admit). Tip: At the crest of the hill, look for the deer crossing sign - drive is opposite that, behind the big, old trees. Be quick as the speed limit is 55 mph there. Once in the drive, it is quiet & lovely.
