Dr. Ronald I. Teichman, D.D.S. - Park Slope Dentistry

Having not gone to a dentist for a number of years, I was recommended to visit Dr. Teichman and I'm glad I did. From start to finish I was totally satisfied with all the work I had done which was extensive (had 2 crowns/root cana/inlay and a lot of gum work done as well as Zoom whitening). If you are afraid of pain, during my whole entire time I visited not one time I felt any (I know some of you don't visit dentists for that reason). When working on my mouth Dr. Teichman was always concerned about if I felt any pain which was comforting. All equipment he uses are state of the art, office is clean. He and his staff all professional, and very friendly, and his hygenist Denise is excellent at what she does. I"M glad I took the advice because I have found my full time dentist.

As a patient of Dr. Teichman for over 12 years, I can say that he and his office have successfully diagnosed and treated every dental concern that I have had, from basic "repair and maintenance" to the complexity of a root canal.
From a purely clinical standpoint, a visit to this office is exactly what a patient would want--current technology in terms of equipment and knowledge, spot-on diagnosis, and efficient, pain-free execution of necessary work. The office also provides a comfortable physical environment, and as a pleasant bonus, a friendly, concerned staff.

For a number of years after a friend in the neighborhood recommended Dr. Teichman, most of my visits were for cleaning and check-ups. Denise is a highly skilled hygienist, and a pleasant, positive person who clearly cares about her work and her patients. She has also administered the Zoom cleaning, which was well worth it. Recently, as my "pre-teichman" crowns have been wearing out, more extensive work has been required. All necessary work is performed quickly and efficiently by Dr. Teichman. In addition, his willingness to explain his diagnoses and any options available is always appreciated. This extra concern for the patient is pretty rare these days in medicine. Many professionals don't seem to want to take the time to explain or listen. Finally, on the administrative side, Sophia always will happily answer questions about billings and insurance benefits, and accommodate one's schedule for visits. This is an office which has everything a patient could want or need in dental care.

Dr. Teichman has been our family's dentist for 20 years. He is no drill-and-fill dentist but rather the sort of man who remembers where my children are in school, why I want to get rid of the wrinkles over my lip and cares about my wallet as much as my mouth. He has the latest equipment, the latest training and a wonderful, organized staff that does not make errors. Dr. T himself is an amazing human being with a fascinating personal story -- ask him -- and the sort of clinician who looks beyond the superficial to find the true story of your teeth, your mouth. I have turned to him for root canals, teeth whitening and all the basics. His hygienists are also fantastic (and hats off to Sophia, the office manager!). Afraid of the dentist? This is the practice to visit. Park Slope is lucky to have such a fine man and a fine dentist in its midst!

I had to search for a dentist nine years ago after my dentist of many years retired. I have a good friend who recommended that I see Dr. Teichman. I had always complimented my friend on his unique killer smile.

At my friends suggestion I contacted Dr. T's office and was sen for a check up and consultation. Truth be told I had always wanted to improve my smile. Dr. T took care of me and recommended some subtle interventions that would improve my overall dental health and appearance.

I followed his advice, as I was impressed with his knowledge. I could see that his office was equipped with cutting edge technology and equipment. Over the past nine years I have developed a relationship with Dr. T and his staff. They are all courteous and professional.

Today I went to the office. As I was seated in the examination room, the dental assistant greeted me. When I said "Hello", the assistant spontaneously said to me. "Your teeth look so nice, so white!" I was taken by her comment, as it confirmed that Dr. T had done a great job in improving my general looks and overall dental health. The two reasons why I sought out his care initially. It felt great to get that feedback. I am still smiling. Thanks Dr.T, you are the best!!

I am so glad I went to Dr. Teichman. My smile was something I had always been self-conscious of and Dr. Teichman totally changed that. He completely made over my smile and I feel like a new person.

Dr. Teichman was recommended to me by a couple of friends who were already patients and I am so happy I found him. Dr. Teichman is a great dentist, really talented and can make anyone feel comfortable. He takes the time to make sure you are relaxed and understand the treatment he recommends.

I was very much at ease and even more so impressed with his work. Dr. Teichman made me laminates and I can't even begin to tell you how happy I am with the results. My smile now looks and feels completely natural.

Dr. Teichman?s office is also really nice. His staff was very friendly and attentive and you can watch tv on a flat screen while you are having work done. Really nice added touch!

I highly recommend Dr. Teichman to anyone. You will be so happy you went!

Dr.Teichman was recommended to me by a good friend who has been a long time patient of the Dr.He advised me that there isno one else but Dr.Teichman he would recommend.I soon find out my friend was right.When I first met the Dr.his kindness and generosity of his stood out.He thoroughly and carefully explained every little detail to me and was very patient in answering my questions.He immediately put me at ease.My friend was right about something else-Dr.Teichman does beautiful work.The crown he made for me looks and feels great-as if it were one of my natural teeth.As my main dentist the Dr.was also very instrumental in coordinating my care with the other dentists for aditional work that was needed.Denise-the dental hygienist and Sophia-the office manager also are wonderful-Denise very thorough and gentle-Sophia very efficient and courteous.

I have been a patient of "Dr.Teichman"for almost 40 years.He is quite simply the best.He is extremely efficient and thorough in the art and science of dentristy. When you have work done by him you can take relief in knowing that the job was done to perfection.He is also very gentle and has a great "bedside manner".He also has an exellent staff,most notably being Denise,his dental hygienist who I have been a patient of for 22 years.Denise,like Dr.Teichman is also simply the best-extremely thorough and very carring.When she gets done cleaning your teeth,you feel like a new person.Also,you will never meet a nicer person than she.The office manager,Sophia,I also have nothing but praice for.She is efficient and courteous and it is always a pleasure to be greeted by her worm smile which makes you feel welcome as soon as you come in.I am indeed fortunate to be a patient of Dr.Teichman and his exceptional staff.

Thank goodness I found Dr. Teichman! For years I have had to drag my daughter to the dentist. She had a bad experience with a dentist a few years ago (wisdom teeth pulled, not enough novacaine) and has a genuine fear of the dentist. I arrived at Dr. Teichman's office through a recommendation from one of my friends who takes her kids there. He was worth the trip! I live in Manhattan and would have traveled twice the distance after seeing how patient he was with my daughter. Dr. Teichman explained everything very carefully to my daughter and spoke to her directly which I think helped (rather than talk to me "the mom"). He was very thorough, knowledgeable and is a great dentist.

When my daughter and I left Dr.Teichman's office, my daughter said that while going to the dentist is not exactly a party, she wants Dr. Teichman to be her dentist from now on. She said Dr. Teichman "made her feel better."

I hightly recommend Dr. Teichman to anyone with children or if you have a fear of dentists. He is a great dentist and I think can calm anyone down! I'm not surprised he has all of these great reviews!

I have been a client of Dr. Teichman's for 8 years. I am 40 yoa and have never had a better Dentist. Teichman's style is direct, clear AND compassionate...which I have never experienced in another professional of his caliber. He has provided me with most of the dental services that anyone could require from serious to simple and has always worked with me in identifying options, i.e., weighing cost within my budget and my health and cosmetic goals. While I, frankly, found his office a bit cold on my first two visits (different receptionist at the time) having developed a relationship with them, I always feel welcome and that they are genuinely happy to see me, since. Dr. Teichman is happy and committed to being a great Dentist. He is truly engaged in his work and art. I am confident in him and relaxed with him, which is an awful lot to expect from a dental visit.

I feel privileged to have found him. In fact, I am moving out of the country soon and have every intention to visit him regularly. Also, I must mention Sophia (receptionist) and Sandra (technician) contribute to a great team!

I have been using Dr. Ronald Teichman for almost 30 years. When my daughter was having problems wither her pediatric dentist, I brought her to him. When my 'non-dental going' husband was having dental problems, I sent him to Dr. Teichman. When my friends and patients were looking for a local dentist, I recommended them to him. The responses have been unanimous in terms of quality dentistry coupled with a gentle, caring manner. This professional is clearly 5 stars.

I have had a serious aversion to going to the dentist since I was a kid. Because of this, my mom sent me to Dr. Teichman and I have never had any reason to dislike the dentist again. Dr. Teichman is completely kick-ass and he will be my dentist forever (I hope). You would be crazy not to see him for all your dental needs.

I've been going to Dr. Teichman for years. He is professional, friendly and always knows the best treatment to offer me and my wife. Between the both of us, we've had teeth cleaning, root canals (ouch), teeth whitening and an implant. My wife started going to him right before our wedding and was really happy with the results. She really liked that he gave her options based on what would make her smile look the best for the budget that we had to work within. I like how patient he is with me as I've always had a fear of dentists.

I always know that I am in good hands with Dr. Teichman and his staff!!!

He is GREAT. Incredible skilled, but don't try calling after you spend some sizeable amount...! He will try to refer you to someone else in your area!
At least, that is my expeience.... He did 36,000 worth of work on my....(mouth?) Then, I just tried to get an appointment to finish the last 3 bottom crowns (while living in Florida) And what did I get...?
"Well, you may just to have to find a "Good Office" down there.... In my book, that is
BS...!!!

At my first visit, the problem was fully discussed, alternatives put forward and finally a plan was set. At the time, I was in my early 80's. After the work was done, everyone agreed I now had "the teeth of a 50 year old". Now , years later, I still do.
The comfortable office setting, a pleasant well trained staff and state of the art equipment was and is still reassuring and relieves the anxiety raised by "a visit to the dentist:.

My mum was visiting from the UK and had an emergency. Her tooth fell out on a saturday morning and after trying a number of dental offices, Dr Teichmann was able to fit her in between patients. He did the job very speedily and effectively and was amazingly inexpensive.

I have been going to Dr. Teichman for more than 10 years, a bit after I moved to the neighborhood. I first came because a previous (Manhattan) dentist closed up a root canal while there was clearly still a problem. Dr. Teichman worked diligently to get it fixed and me pain free. While going to the dentist is never a fun time, this is as close to a perfect dental experience as one could have. No, he is not cheap, but I'm not sure any dentist is these days, especially one that is so great. Dr. Teichman is patient and meticulous.

Denise is as fabulous as mentioned in the other posts-she is the only hygienist I've used there. And Dr.Ho is also really wonderful-careful and conscientious. Very clean offices, state of the art equipment.

Its a wonderful and well run office-there are only pros, no cons!

The office is very clean and the wait is never too long. What some reviewers say about incorrect quotes is very much true. Sophia can be in turn very sweet and helpful (re scheduling), or unbelievably rude and nasty - it really just depends on the day and if you're asking for something that pertains to billing backup. To be honest, I go here because they have THE BEST technician I have ever had doing the regular cleans. If you go, be sure to ask for Denise. She's fantastic - taking the time to explain what she's doing, making sure that she's being thorough and yet not ripping up your gums! She makes constructive suggestions about your tooth regimen without being too "dentally righteous", as some can be. I can't rave enough. All the x-ray techs I've had here are great too. Unfortunately, the other cleaning technicians are truly terrible: generally sloppy and PAINFUL. My husband had the lovely experience this winter of a teeth cleaning with a tech that was obviously ill: sniffling and sneezing all over the place. Ew. (Needless to say, that visit was cut short!) Dr. Teichman's colleague, DrHo (that is her name), is also a boon to the practice: young, bright, very down to earth, and someone who listens to her patients.

Dr. Teichman is the best dentist in Brooklyn ? bar none! After a decidedly un-gentle experience at Gentle Dental in the Slope, Dr. Teichman was recommended to me by a colleague. I could tell things would be different right from the beginning ? the kind receptionist made my appointment easily ? and they?re open on Saturdays! Then, when I arrived, I was greeted by comfortable, modern furniture, a large LCD television, and another kind receptionist. Best of all, unlike at most other healthcare appointments in this city, I was seen within five minutes of arrival.

This high level of customer service continued throughout the cleaning. The hygienist was extremely friendly and took the time to get to know me better before starting. She was very thorough, going far above and beyond the perfunctory 10-minute scrapings I?ve received elsewhere. But she was also sensitive to my needs, stopping to make sure that I was comfortable. And at the conclusion of the cleaning, she gave me great advice on home hygiene without making me feel guilty.

Finally, the terrific experience concluded with a visit from Dr. Teichman. Waiting no longer than a few minutes to see him, he went over my X-rays with me, showing me exactly how my teeth were doing on the high-tech monitor installed in the room. Just as friendly as his staff, he spent some time learning more about me, explained my options clearly, and gave me full confidence that my teeth were in good hands!

All in all, I couldn?t have asked for a better trip to the dentist.

I was referred to Dr Teichman via a work colleague to address an unfortunate cycling accident I was the vicitim of. Lets just say my teeth 'got moved around a bit'. He took me in right away and very clearly explained the work that needed to be done. After a few crowns and veneers I was back in business. If you ask my wife, I look better now then before. Dr T. was very calm, professional and I felt very comfortable in his office. I highly recommend him.

I'VE BEEN A PATIENT FOR OVER 5 YEARS, AND I THINK DR. TEICHMAN IS A THOROUGH AND PROFESSIONAL DENTIST. THE OFFICE IS VERY CLEAN AND STATE OF THE ART. I didn't have a good ex[perience at all. The dentist is the most expensive around which I found out too late. Sophia didn't tell me the truth about what it would cost. I will not recommend this dentist to anyone.

A highly-skilled, sensitive, and astute dentist, devoted to aesthetic outcome, with the willingness to listen as well as do what it takes to make the patient happy. The office staff is congenial and friendly. Overall, as wonderful an experience as one can have in a dental chair. ( I had a crown made for a back molar, completed beautifully and painlessly, in two visits. I am a patient afraid of dentists, so this wasn't easy for me.) All the new technology. Highly recommended!

I have been a patient of Dr Teichman for many years. I had very bad gums and it had gotten to the point where I could not eat anything solid without terrible pain. I was losing my teeth and would not smile even with pictures with my new granddaughter. I could no longer put off going to see Dr. Teichman.

I went to Dr. Teichman and he sat me in the chair and told me that my teeth were beyond saving but he promised to make my smile beautiful.

He explained everything he was going to do to me. He pulled the teeth I had left and talked to me and told me it was okay to cry alittle. The crying was more from losing my teeth than the minimal pain I felt. He was beside me every step of the way. I looked forward to going to his office weekly and being greeted by everyone like family. He kept telling me how beautiful my smile would be when he was done.

The day he put my new dentures in my mouth I looked in the mirror and wanted to cry. He kept his promise and then some with the beautiful work he had done. I walked out into the office and everyone told me how beautiful my smile was.

Everyone compliments me on my beautiful smile. I love to take pictures now and smile alot.

Thank you Dr Teichman for giving me back my smile and making me feel beautiful.
I will always remember how comfortable you and you staff made me feel and how you all were by my side from the start to the finish.

From the moment you are greeted by ?Queen Sophia? (God help me if I misspelled her name)?you enter an environment where the staff, like family, are warm and inviting. Dr. Teichman, ?Doc?, is a true gentleman who has a weak spot for the newest trends in dental technology which translates into the best available treatment for his patients. His approach to your care is thorough and understanding and his patients are further beneficiaries of the ?Docs? and his staffs unwavering goal of perfection.

Dr. Teichman has treated me for over 10 years. He is a wondeful caring dentist who always makes me feel at ease in his chair. He thoroughly explains all necessary dental proceedures and gives several options for restorative treatment.

His staff is always warm and professional. I am very happy with the care I receive in his office and would highly recommend Park Slope Dentistry.

From the beginning he was willing to spend time understanding the problem and providing different solutions. It's not often that I run across experts in their field that are willing to help others make the best choice they can. His staff are personable and courteous. I recently visited Dr Teichman to address my less than perfect teeth - specifically I wanted to address the aesthetics of my front teeth.

Overall I was quite pleased with the quality of Dr Teichmans work. He clearly articulated my potential options, and significantly improved the overall appearance of my smile. it was clear to me that Dr Teichman takes a great deal of pride in his work, which I found very comforting for the type of work he was doing for me.

I live in Paris. While on a short-term visit to Brooklyn in January 2007, I required emergency dental assistance. Not only was Dr. Teichmann willing to see me on short notice but he provided me with the full range of required dental services (not just some temporary fix but fully-fledged, restoration work). Dr. Teichmann offered patient and comprehensive explanations and genuinely took his time to make sure that I had understood all the implications of the medical procedures. He then proceeded to devote the necessary amount of time to the surgery. I felt extremely comfortable in Dr Teichmann?s hands and did not feel that I was being rushed at any point. Six months later, I continue to think that I received most excellent care. I would unhesitatingly recommend Dr. Teichmann! I was lucky to find him.

Dr. Teichman is an intelligent dentist, strong in relaying information and details, and conscientious about providing state-of-the-art dentistry by regularly updating technology. Dr. Teichman is extraordinarily proud of his work, and that reflects his professionalism and commitment.

Its been a few years since I've been to see a dentist. I found him through citysearch, and have to say, I found the reviews to be true. He's has nice pleasont demeanor, explains all the procedures, and you can even watch tv while he works on you.

I was impressed how quickly he was able to diagnose my problem, and he has what looks like the latest dental technology that made my office visit a quick and painless one.

I recommend him.

I see Dr. Ho at this office, and she is wonderful. Having had an embarrassing history of bursting into tears at the dentist's office as a child... and as a teen... and as an adult, I was as nervous as can be during my first visit here--my first dentist visit in years. Much to my chagrin, I was told I had several cavities and would need a root canal. When root canal time came, Dr. Ho patiently detailed the entire process with incredible gentleness. Still, I braced myself as the chair was leaned back. But throughout the whole root canal, I felt no pain! I was astounded! She even let me rest my jaw at various intervals, and kept me informed of her progress.

I've met Dr. Teichman, and he seemed very friendly and nice. With the number of (non-crying) kids that I've seen at this office, I can only assume that he, too, is as gentle as Dr. Ho.

I never imagined I'd ever be a fan of a dentist, but here I am. I'll definitely be sticking with them.

I went to Dr. Teichman's office for a checkup and teeth whitening. I was very happy with the results and with the way that he took the time to explain everything to me. I was a little nervous and he did not make me feel rushed. What was also great is that his office is open on Saturdays which makes it alot easier for people that work late hours during the week. I would definitely recommend him as a dentist.

I've been going to Dr. Teichman since I was a kid. I have since moved out of Park Slope to the city but still go to Dr. Teichman when I need to go to the dentist. He does great work and always makes sure you are as comfortable as possible. I recently had to have 2 wisdom teeth removed and I didn't feel a thing the whole time. The hygenists also give really good teeth cleanings.

I've always been afraid of the dentist and have neglected my teeth for years as a result. I was referred to Dr. Teichman by a friend and he was very understanding of my fears. I ended up needing a root canal and had a few cavities and he was very patient with me throughout the entire procedure. I will definitely not be so neglectful with my teeth again because of how well I was treated. I am even thinking of getting my teeth whitened!
