Had an 8:30pm reservation. Waited an hour before finally leaving. The hostess kept telling us they were waiting for this one table to leave. Not sure why they can't figure out how to seat people on time. Won't be going back there again.

Our experience here was terrible. We had reservations last night for a party of 6. Our reservations were at 8:30, and we showed up at 8:15. Around 9:30, we decided to go to another place. The restaurant was not extremely busy, and they kept on seating people ahead of us. The maitre d was completely aware of this so gave us one small appetizer (what is that going to do for 6 of us who come here straight from work and have been waiting over an hour??). At, 9:30, when we told the maitre d we were leaving and made reservations at another restaurant while we were waiting and that we were disappointed with the service we received, he was quite obnoxius and his ONLY response was 'OK'. We live in the neighborbood and would never come here again. If 'good service' is one of your requirements for a restaurant, avoid this restaurant at all costs.

Not sure why, but the food is not nearly as amazing as it is at their Brooklyn location. It's still good, and the wine list is great, but they've spoiled me at the Smith street location, so they need to step up their game here a bit more.

We miss Mayrose! So sourly disappointed with this restaurant - overpriced food and the portions are not priced for sharing. Wine starts at $11 a glass - such a joke!!!!!! Never again.

Was there last night for a friends birthday party, absolutely love this place. Everything I had was amazing, they did a buratta with fresh brussel sprouts that was just incredible, we had a mix bruschette which were just awesome (the ricotta with honey was my fav) and my entree, which was a lamb stew with spinach dumpling, was the best thing I've had in a New York City restaurant in the six last six months. Hard to believe it used to be Mayrose.

Cool room, love the chandeliers, a little noisy, a light tight where we were, but cozy none the less. Great wine list, highly recommended.

I had dinner at Lunetta the other night with a couple of girlfriends and we ordered a ton of antipasti and a couple of the pasta dishes all to share- the pastas were amazing, our server said the tagliatelle and gnocchi were homemade and the sauces had tons of flavor but were not thick (think jersey italian, yuck). The gnocchi with lamb was my favorite- they also had a nice variety of wines by the glass, including a spicy and yummy syrah. You didn't have to spend a lot if you didn't want to but I will definately bring my boyfriend back for a night to splurge. Pretty dining room, although the tables were kind of close together... good service and pasta to make the old country proud!

We dropped by Lunetta saturday evening without a reservation. The hostess was amiable and seated us right away. That and the dessert was the high point of the evening. First we tried to order drinks but they didn't have their liquor license yet. Then we had the sommelier come over- we started by saying that we would like a red then he pointed in the general area of the expensive wines ($200+) saying "these are all great wines!"- he didn't ask what we liked in the past, didn't pick a specific wine, no descriptions of wines. We found him tacky and unhelpful!! We dine out alot and always enjoy the recommendations of sommeliers, whether they were $40 or $200. This guys was just awful- worst sommelier in the city! Don't bother talking to him. The rest of the service was great- from the hostess, to our waitress to the bus boys. The food was decent, not fantastic- I didn't like the octopus appetizer but enjoyed the scallops entree. My bf liked his appetizer (something with pancetta) and his tuna entree was mediocre. The desserts were ordinary but delicious- apple tart with cinammon ice-cream and tiramisu. Overall- the restaurant is new and will work out it's liquor license, I'm sure the food will improve but the sommelier needs to change his attitude....until then, unfortunately, not recommended....
