I have been with Verizon for several years.

The service is very good. I find I rarely go anywhere that I can't get a signal.

The plans are decent. I am on the family plan with my husband and two sons.

The equipment is good as well. I love my LG VX7000 camera phone! It takes great pics and video and has great reception.

A big problem is that Verizon customer service is lacking. They told me one thing, then backtracked and told me something else, and it all ended up with me having to pay a whopping fee because of their incompetence in customer service.

Hidden charges are another problem. What looks like a good deal may end up being not so good after all the surcharges and taxes and whatnot.

The service is good, the phones are really nice, the plans are decent, the cost is about on par with most other services (although we don't get rollover minutes which I want!), but customer service falls short.

I am considering switching when my contract us up because, without good customer service, I don't feel confident even though I have good reception and the like.

Because of the lack of consistent customer service, I give Verizon 3 stars. It would have gotten 4 if customer service wasnt so darn confused thus confusing me, and I end up paying the price!

PROS: Good reception, good phones, decent plans
CONS: Customer Service is not knowledgeable and it causes confusion
