Went to Tabatha's for Lunch on Mother's Day. Party of 12. Place was busy but well staffed. Our waitress was attentive, once our main dishes arrived, we did not see her again until dessert. Many selections on the menu. Some a bit unusual that you would not expect to find in this type of restaurant. Duck Breast with Blueberry sauce around $17.95, Veal Scallopini (18.95, my brother said was too sweet for him) Pasta & meatballs my 10 year old son said tasted like the pasta sat too long in the water ( $10), my husband had the Italian platter ($16. 95 none of the flavors really stood out too much from the others) and I had grilled chicken breast (which really was bland), with cup of potato soup (I enjoyed it, hubby did not care for it) and yummy but small portion of sweet potato fries ($9.95) Over all, there was nothing really great about the food and the prices were higher than we expected for their specialty dishes (fish, veal, duck ranging from $17.95 -21.95). Granted, at some restaurants these prices are no big deal, but Tabatha's has a Diner atmosphere, 2 restrooms (1 toilet in each), and the part of the restaurant we were seated in felt like we were in a large, renovated trailer. "Campy" would be a perfect description. Our total for 6 kids and 6 adults (3 free strawberry shortcakes for the Mom's ..the biscuit was homemade and good as was the strawberries and Cool-Whip topping) was $180+ before our $40 tip. I think we would have been better going out for a buffet at a nice local Hotel or more upscale Restaurant. The desserts I saw at our table were small and looked like something a teenager whipped up. There was not one meal that was REALLY good. This would be a good place to go for a quick bite to eat, not expecting much, and ordering items that are inexpensive. Honestly, we could have had a much tastier meal at Dominik's on Burnet Ave. in Syracuse, Aunt Josie's, or Asit's. I was a bit taken back by the prices because the price did not equal the quality or deliciousness of the meal. It was ok and like I said, expect diner food and order the meals that are diner priced and you will be just fine. I did not see what was so great about the very small and unspectacular desserts.

We had gone for an anniversary gathering and now try to go back every month for the exceptional food and dedicated staff. The soup is fantastic! For the price and portions I give it a A++. I suggest to anyone who is in the area to visit this restaurant.
