I am a runner who never had any interest in group classes. Someone recommended pilates on fifth as a good cross training option. I was apprehensive but signed up for Michelle's Bar Sculpt class. Michelle made me feel so welcome from the very first class - she made sure to see if I had any injuries and taught me how to modify the moves accordingly. Each week the class is very challenging, and she always mixes up the routine so it feels brand new and fun each time. I've been going for several months now and I am definitely much stronger and in better shape. I never thought I'd be that person who HAS to go to pilates each week, but now it is a must in my weekly schedule!

Pilates on fifth is a great place to go for your daily workout. They have a relaxed, comfortable environment that was enjoyable from start to finish. They have a great deal of 54-58% off private sessions also. With so many options in NYC for pilates studios, this place really takes the cake in my opinion.

I really loved my class at Pilates on Fifth. It was super comfortable and affordable to say the least. They have a great deal going on right now for 54-58% off private classes! The instructor was fabulous. You MUST check it out.

Pilates on Fifth is amazing, I've tried several different pilates places before this and none of them compare to this. The personal attention you get in classes is amazing and the instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. I really enjoy working out at Pilates on Fifth. I have worked out at many studios, and this one is the best I have ever been to. Although it can be packed with people on occasion (which is actually great to see!) it never feels too crowded to get the personal attention I like in my workouts. The equipment is always in great shape, and they have the latest and greatest machines and classes as well (like active core - I think that is what it is called - kills me, but I love it!) My one-on-one instructors are always FABULOUS - they know me, know how to push me, are really great Pilates coaches, and they also make it really fun. I have worked with many instructors over the year I have worked out there, and I have always had a great experience. Also, the front desk staff is always on top of things, friendly, and helpful. Coming to Pilates on Fifth is something I really look forward to during my week.

The teachers are great and the studio is good but the owners are annoying and not professional. They are kind of annoying considering they are 40yrs old and act like they are just young twins.
Great space but you can find a better atmosphere somewhere else

The ambiance is amazing and the teaching very professional. The owner is well known in the industry having written the seminal books about Pilates. She is also well versed in body mechanics and was instructed as a physical therapist.

A great relaxed atmosphere with professional teachers and adults. You can absolutely get desired results in your body. Excellent teachers some of the ones I have worked with include: Matt and Abbey. I also got turned on to gyrotonics in this studio which is hard but fun. I would highly recommend it.

This studio was recommended to me by a chiropractor several years ago and I have not once regretted it! The instructors are very knowlegeable, patient, and engaging; the front desk staff is warm and friendly; and the owners are a dream team. The studio has been remodeled to include the whole top floor and it is spacious with lots of sunlight. In addition, they also teach gyrotonic and cardiolates and offer massages. It's a wonderful studio where every client is made to feel special!

After my son was born I needed to go back to an exercise program to tone up and feel better. I was a diehard Bikram Yoga person but found that when I returned after my pregnancy the yoga didn't help me loose weight or tone up. I decided to try Pilates on Fifth. I've never felt better! I no longer have back pain and my posture has improved. I actually feel taller. I have learned to engage my abs and strengthen my core, which was a challenge after having a very difficult cesarean section surgery to deliver my son. All of the instructors are fantastic and cater your workout to your needs and challenges. My favorite is Ron - he is motivating, challenging and knowledgeable along with being very charismatic. The hour workout flies by and I feel rejuvenated and every part of my body feels stronger and leaner> THANKS RON!!!!!!!

The personal attention you receive from their knowledgeable instructors in the one-on-one sessions is great, not to mention the butt-kicking workout you'll get! The staff is so friendly and helpful, they never make you feel like it's a bother to help you. The mat classes are fun and challenging, especially the Cardiolates! I've found it to be a great way to add the cardio into your Pilates workout if you're not a fan of cardio machines like me! Oh yeah, and dare I forget the Migun bed? It's a thermal massage table that they've just recently added. Talk about a way to relax after your workout!

I have been working out at Pilates on Fifth for four years and have found the instructors, owners and equipment to be superband the physical results have been amazing! I have tried other (non-Stott) studios where the equipment is less adjustable and the instructors inferior. The instructors, most of them former dancers, are knowledgeable and well-trained. They can name every muscle and bone in your body (or so it seems) and customize a challenging workout for your specific needs, whether it be injury rehabilitation or a toned and lengthy physique. The mat classes at Pilates on Fifth are also excellent, using various props for a really challenging workout. I have not found mat classes anywhere else (like my rather exclusive gym) that compare. Overall, a truly outstanding studiono need to go anywhere else.
