Pros: Delish, Romantic

Cons: Crowded

I had a great experience at Little Basil. I went with a group of 7 and we had a great time. We each ordered a dish and had a grand time sharing them all, the best way to go. The food was delicious, even though it was expensive. The restaurant is small and dark, adding to the cozy ambiance.

Pros: cozy atmosphere, delicious food, good veggie options

Cons: a bit pricey

Little Basil was a nice discovery on my quest to conquer the Greenwich Avenue restaurants. Having recently moved to the area, my dining pal and I have been quite happy with most of the spots on the strip and were also well-fed at Little Basil. The food is not standard Thai as the rest of the review state, but rather an interesting blend of Thai flava'. The drinks are interesting - try the Mango Margherita; yummy but not going to get you laid. I enjoyed the Crispy Duck with Basil and Chili's - very yummy - my pal had the grilled ginger chicken which she thought was excellent. Toss in the very cordial waitstaff and reasonable prices and you've got a great addition to the area. Definitely check this place out - the basil alone is worth it!

Pros: good lighting, great location, nice staff

Cons: not authentic

Weird this place gets so many high ratings. I've been to Thailand, and this food is far from authentic. Overpriced, not a good value. Still searching for good Thai in the Village. Suggestions, anyone?
