I recently was referred by a great friend to Roy TeeLuck Salon on 57st to get some balayage highlights. I was very nervous about going as I had not gotten highlights done in over 10 years! I had some bad experiences and refused to get anymore work done on my hair. My friend GiGi who has been going there for some time strongly recommended that I take a chance and go see her Colorist Abby. I am very happy that I listened to her! Abby, was superb. She is very personable and welcomed me with a smile. I showed her pictures and she was very upfront on what she liked and disliked for my new look. She wasn't afraid to say the truth. Honesty goes a long way! I was there for about 3 hours and the staff was pleasurable and hospitable. I even had to bring my 6year old daughter who even had a blast watching mommy get colored, cut and pampered. Abby recommended that I get a haircut first as I desperately needed one, prior to the highlights. Diego was the stylist she recommended. He was a master with the scissors. He knew the look that I was going for and commanded the floor. The end result was a masterpiece and I have since told all my friends about my experience at Roy TeeLuck. Its definitely worth the time and money!
I came to the salon after being referred by a friend. Everyone was really friendly, and Ali did a fantastic job on my cut. He did an amazing job giving my long, straight hair a ton of shape while keeping the length. I would recommend him to anyone! Thanks!
It's rare that I give carte blache to a stylist when cutting my hair and am completely satisified with the results. But I'm happy to say that my experience at Roy Teeluck was one of these rare occasions.
After a strong recommendation from a friend, I went in search of Diego Miranda to help give me a cutting edge but easily manageable cut for my hair. The results far exceeded my expectations. He is a true artist, attentive and skillful. The next time I do anything with my hair, I'm going to Diego.
I am from Ohio, and was in NYC for a wedding on April 21, 2012. I just had broken my right hand (my dominant hand), and had a cast on it. Consequentely, I could not style my own hair for this occasion. I got on Google to find a salon close to our hotel, and saw Roy's and after reading the reviews, and checking out the background of the salon...this looked like the one for me! I have very thick, course hair. I also have very curly, frizzy hair only on the back of my head, a result of radiation. When I get my hair styled, all most stylists can do is straighten that area...not much ""WOW"" But, Shab, my stylist said she can do a lot with my hair!! So, I let her go to work, and do her magic. When she was done, it looked awesome!! I almost cried in front of her, out of sheer joy and excitement! She took her time, and did a fabulous job! I felt so chic and glamorous at the wedding, and received many, many compliments on my new ""mid-town do"". I will return to Roy Teeluck's whenever I am in the City and make my appointment ahead to get in with ..... you guessed it! Shab!! She is a gem!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you! She is also very personable and treated me with kindness and a smile. Sally from Ohio
i have been going to a salon downtown for many years, until my friend mentioned Lisa @ roy teeluck.
My co worker came in to work two weeks ago and her hair looked the best i have ever seen it look. She told me, ""you have to goto Lisa, she is great"" although it was hard to get out of my comfort zone, I gave it a try, and i must say Lisa is a fantastic colorist.
They use a different method which i have never seen or had before, and to be honest i don't think i can ever go back to foils again. My hair never looked so natural and healthy. From the color to the blow out, they did a great job, i was very pleased with everyone, and will be going back in a few weeks...
My hair was over highlighted and I wanted to acheive a ombre look . Michele was amazing she explained to me step by step, and wham back to my natrual color. The color she used to make me close to my natrual color was perfect. HIghlights looked like I was on the beach . Loved her and the salon.
I had never colored my hair before and wanted the Ombra
Michele talked to me with my stylist Oliver . Then she began to tease my hair and paint it . My cut and color was perfect . Great salon stylist and colorist worked well together . Will go back ..
I had alway went to Hair Cutterys and the franchise places like that for my hair, as a guy who always had short hair it didn't need much upkeep. Two years ago I decided to grow my hair out pretty long, almost down to my shoulders and my hair is very coarse and wavy so needless to say it needs a lot of care at that length especially in the summer months when its humid. A friend of me recommended me to Tim Johnson at Roy Teeluck and so I went to him and have never even thought of going anywhere else. Tim is an exceptional stylist and just a great all around guy. He loves what he does and is damn good at it, what I really like is that he will offer his opinion and I can take it or leave it based on what I want to do with my hair, but he has never steered me wrong. I always walk out extremely happy, and he offers bang trims between haircuts to keep everything clean until you are ready for another one, just another reason what this place is such a great value. All of the staff is great too, from the receptionists to the people who shampoo and do keratin treatments. A great relaxing environment in a great location right next to Louis V and YSL. No matter what kind of hair you have or what style you are looking for, they will take great care of you.
Just went for my second visit to the Roy Teeluck Salon to see Ali. Last time was about a month ago for a cut and this time we did color. Let me just say, both were fantastic and I would highly recommend going to him for either or both. \r
My cut was great. When I came in, I was unhappy because my previous cut (from a different stylist) was just not working. I had too much bangs and no layers and the whole thing was looking like a mullet but Ali fixed it up and gave me great shape which has maintained during this past month.\r
The color he did was a great success. He listened to what I wanted and what I did not like and made his suggestions and the end product was great. I got a compliment on the street as soon as I walked out.\r
The salon prices are not cheap by any means but its is 100% worth it if you want great service and a fantastic end product.
I heard about Diego through a friend in LA. I was told Diego listens to what a client wants and needs. Boy did he!!!!!! I approached Diego telling him I was interested in cutting al my hair off. Diego reassured me I was at the right place. Diego told me we were going to take it slow, walking me through every step. He told me he was going to cut half what I was wanting to cut first. Reason being first so I didn't freak out and secondly so I was sure I really wanted to cut it all off. Thank god he did!! He was so right, the length he cut it at first was right on! Bottom line Diego listens and thats what matters in a hairdresser. Do yourself a favor go see DIEGO MIRANDA!!!
As soon as I walked in the salon I was in love. They make you feel pampered. I am extremely picky stubborn and picky when it comes to my hair. I put my trust into them and it payed off. I loved the end result. They listen to what I wanted and gave me their opinions that would give me what I wanted. They kept my length and gave me a gorgeous color. Russ colored my hair and it was an absolute treat. He was hilarious and entertaining. Roy is amazing as cutting and gave me an amazing hair cut that brings my hair to life. To top it all off, the cappuccinos were unbelievable, and some of the best that I have ever had. Overall, this place is well worth visit.
Michele paints like an artist . Amazing bayalage! Best in New York ! Great personality , The salon is amazing.
Even though I could effectively get free haircuts from many other top salons in NYC for free, I keep happily returning to RT as a paying customer to see Tim Johnson. He's the hair genius I've been going to for years now and every time I step out of the salon I feel like a new woman. Besides the amazing cut he always gives me, I also love that he listens intently and gives me exactly what I want, only better.
I've also see Russ for highlights and must say he's amazing as well! Thanks Team Teeluck!
To say that I am picky about my hair color is an understatement. I have been to top salons all over the world and recently in London I ran into a woman and I absolutely loved her hair and I approached her and asked her where she did her hair, she told me in New York @ Roy Teeluck, so when I was in town last week I finally got the experience of a lifetime. Abby was pleasant, down to earth, honest and a heaven sent colorist. When I was done and I looked in the mirror I never felt so attractive in my life. I will plan my trips to around my hair appointments which by the way Abby said I only need to come once every 4 months and not the 6 weeks every other salon tells me. I can't wait to come back.
I got my hair cut a few weeks ago by Diego- he's already gotten his kudos from some other reviewers, but I just wanted to add my praise as well. If you've got long hair, he's your man. I've tried a million places and I'm used to pretty ""blah"" cuts that grow out in a week. This was definitely the best cut I've ever gotten. In addition to the cut, the salon has a nice atmosphere and everyone was very friendly. I'll definitely be back.
First of all, I want to thank Michele Fury for the amazing color and Paula Rivera for the wonderful cut. When I walked out of the salon I could literally feel my hair bouncing.
There is such a nurturing vibe to the Roy Teeluck salon. The atmosphere is relaxing, and the people are inspired. Not only do they do an amazing job, but you feel very much at ease while you're there.
Michele's use of balayage was fun - a nicer way of getting highlights than the usual foils. Paula's beautiful cut was just right for me. She also gave me some really useful styling tips.
If you're looking for careful, caring professionals and an elegant yet easy-going atmosphere, this is the place.
New York boosts many celeb-run salons, but out of the many I've tried, Roy Teeluck is by far the best. You feel like you are in good hands all the way through. Everyone is attentive - from Front Desk, to the person making you a yummy cappuccino. I booked color with Lisa and a cut with Olivier - both were absolutely lovely, and true professionals. Lisa suggested adding more dimension to my already dark hair, weaving in balayage highlights. The end result was soft, and truly gorgeous. Olivier's talent shows. I have high-maintenance hair (different textures, etc), but he listened to my concerns, and cut my hair in such a way that it will be easy to take care of at home (no small feat). The biggest treat was the complimentary manicure offered because I was a first time client. I normally hate having my nails done because they'll chip the day later, but Edith is meticulous, taking time to suggest ways I could strengthen my weak nails and extend my color. I left feeling so confident; and the proof came when I was asked later that night ""who does your hair, it's amazing!"". I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to be pampered. They will not disappoint.
By Far the Best Most detailed talented stylist i have Come across in NYC, not to mention how Personable and Down to Earth he is. My haircut just Falls into place. The layers are perfectly done. Makes it so easy to style. Joseph also gave me tips on how to style my hair that no other stylist offered! He's Amazing, Definitely the Gem of the Roy Teeluck Salon! Thank you Joseph!!!
Diego Miranda is a superb hairstylist. He was Recommended by Roy Teeluck colorist Abby Haliti - also terrific and has proved to be an artist whose skills I completely trust. In the many years I've been visiting hair salons I've never felt secure enough to say to a stylist ""just create a look that you think is best for me"". I know that each time Diego styles my hair it will enhance my appearance, reflect my personality as well as comb, wash and style beautifully when I do it myself. In addition, I appreciate Diego's personal warmth and ability to talk comfortably about topics from the mundane to the serious.
i went to roy tee luck to get my hair colored by Lisa, and not only did i have a great experience, but the best part was the results! I am typically extremely picky when it comes to my hair, but Lisa knew exactly what i wanted and executed perfectly. In the past when i had my color done, i would always have to go back to the colorist 2 or 3 times so they can adjust it to my expectations. Not with Lisa. I highly recommend her, and am so happy i finally found a colorist i cant trust!
For two years I was on a quest to find someone in New York to cut my hair. I tried name salons, boutique salons and independent stylists. Nothing worked. With some stylists, I felt I wasn
I was refered to Diego Miranda by a friend and it was an amazing experience. my hair looked fabulous- not only did he take the extra time cutting it but spent the more important time styling it so when i left i looked fantastic- he made me feel like the celebrities that i know he has styled in the past. having someone with that level of experience makes all the difference!
I can't believe I walked into this salon a few years ago and right into Tim Johnson's chair! Honestly, he is the by far one of the best stylists in NYC...and in my opinion the world! If you book with him, you will not regret it. I think he can do any anything because every woman I have seen before or after my appointment looks stunning! He takes his time with you, makes sure you are comfortable AND offers the perfect suggestions as well. I didn't think anyone was going to be able to give me exactly the cut I wanted but he is totally consistent and somehow manages to make me more beautiful each time I see him. As an added bonus he is the NICEST guy in the world. Very friendly, very professional and top notch! Go see Tim!
I love Tim! He has been cutting my hair for 10 years and whether it is short or long, he always does an amazing job. Plus, he is the nicest guy. Even though I only see him a few times a year, I always enjoy our chats. If you want someone who will listen to you and give you a really great haircut--not a generic cut but one that's appropriate for your face and your type of hair--he is the person to go to.
From the moment I walked in the door, I knew this was going to be a great experience. Roy came over to talk to me and explain what they could do, taking the time to introduce their services and explaining how they could get the right color even before I indicated that I was going to make an appointment. Everyone is helpful and caring and the services are excellent. My colorist Lisa changed my whole outlook on how good dark brown can look even on basically white hair. She is highly skilled and makes my hair color look wonderful. Ali is an amazing hair stylist. He also gave me a great haircut. This styling combo is so good that I look like I'm ready for a glamour photo shoot when I leave.
I love the Roy Teeluck salon. I highly recommend Tim Johnson for cut and color. I've been seeing him for the last 3 years and feel very happy with the results every time. I've never felt so consistently satisfied with my cut and color before. Not only this but the energy he puts into his work is really amazing. He's a true artist.
Right near the intersection of 5th Avenue and 57th Street, Roy Teeluck is only steps away from my job at The Museum of Modern Art. I've been having my hair done (cut and highlights) by Tim Johnson for close to two years now and can vouch for the fact that he is hands down one of the best stylists in New York--and a true artist.
What I appreciate most about my relationship with Tim is that he listens to me about my hair concerns and offers solutions that work. With my beauty budget in mind, Tim highlights my hair and covers my gray in such a way that I only have to come in 5 times per year.
Tim has transformed me from a shabby gray-brown to a sunkissed blonde, and I love it!
I love going to visit Diego and Abby. They are such rare talent and have always made me feel comfortable when I'm in there chair. It's a pleasure to have 2 knowledgable and experienced artists creating a style and look for my personality. They really listen to me and interpret my vision into theirs and I'm so happy with the end result, every time,
Thank you guys!!! :)
I wanted to write something about hair professional Ian Huntington. He is fantastic. Old school. When I say that I mean....I can't remember the last time a stylist told me to come in anytime to get my bangs trimmed if I needed. Free of charge. He understands what you want and is quick and precise to do it. He assured me that my haircut would last for three months. A good hair cut will do that. I knew that and could not believe he was saying that to me. I hit the three month mark with my hair in August and I am so very pleased with the cut still. I can't understand why no one has written praise for him. Perhaps it's because he's not some slick hipster trying to sell product. Or some distracted idiot looking at his blackberry. I highly recommend Ian.
I've been to Vidal Sassoon, Oscar blandi, bumble & bumble.. almost every good hair salons in nyc.
I must say that Roy Teeluck is the best. Saturday was my first time. Stylist Diego Miranda cut my hair and he was just amazing. No matter what salons I went to, I always could find something bothered me. Diego knew what I really wanted after we had a few min conversation. This friendly hairstylist Diego is the most talented hairstylist I ever met.
My hair condition was so bad and he suggested me to cut little more that I expected to maintain my hair healthy and look good. Although I ended up cutting more than I expected, the result made me just so happy.
I didn't have a chance to do color today but I'm planning to go back in a few months.
The salon staff, the service, Diego Miranda - just everything was so great and I can't wait to go back! :)
Ali gave me a great haircut !
I came off the train and into Roy Teeluck (because of the great reviews that I'd read) and they were friendly and helpful and easy. My haircut has lasted a long time and still looks fabulous and my color is amazing.
I can't wait to get back in there!
Highly, highly recommend this spot. What a find.
Thank you to all
I am so grateful that Diego Miranda is in my life - he is a genius stylist who is as wildly talented as he is dedicated to his clients. He is the pillar of customer service (professional, generous and humble) and in turn has created a wake of loyal clients. I have been going to Diego for a year and sending friends and colleagues to him consistently - they have all become devotees!
I recently got my hair cut at the Roy Teeluck Salon. I requested Tim because a girlfriend recommended him and I can see why! Not only is Tim an exceptional person who really listens to his clients but he is like a sculptor with his scissors! I left there feeling like a new woman. He is edgy without going overboard, and understands that it is important to give his clients exactly what they want while incorporating his expertise. I was treated like a Queen- and I highly recommend Tim at Roy Teeluck!
I came to this salon after more than a dozen years with a ""celebrity"" stylist (Renee Zelwegger, Jane Krakowski, Helen Mirren, etc) who did a fabulous job for me. Constantly changing things up and always making me look great.
Then he moved.
The two haircuts I've had since then have been less than stellar. #1 was decent on color, but a total hack job on the cut. It only looked good the day I left the salon. Never again.
#2 was a pedestrian haircut, and color that made me look like a two-tone half-paltinum half-dark blond freak show.
Enter Roy Teeluck.
These guys took my distressed tresses and made me look GREAT. The color is beautiful and has depth and - for want of a better word - flow. It looks gorgeous. Lisa could not have been more careful or have done a more artistic job.
Roy himself blow dried my hair and talked to me about what went wrong. He noted that my current cut was boring, but didn't push me to have him do it over. But to wait until it grows in.
I'm convinced. I will NOT try to save money by going somewhere else.
I will stick with the lovely, friendly, super professional and talented staff at Roy Teeluck.
Every single customer I saw at the salon looked GREAT.
One other thing: I'm blond (well, now I am!), but they seem to have an expertise in natural looking red heads - I saw three while I was there. All spectacular.
I have been in media for my entire career, and I know professional quality hair cut and color. It doesn't get any better than this.
Diego Miranda cut my hair and gave me great tips on styling my hair at home. When you spend money on a cut, you want it to look nice outside of the salon. Diego Miranda and the entire Roy Teeluck staff are very friendly and professional, no hairdresser attitude or posing you find in other top salons. Diego gave me a fantastic cut and I couldn't ask for a better experience!!!
I can't rave enough about my experience at the Roy Teeluck Salon in NYC!
First of all, the minute you walk off the elevator, you are greeted by the friendliest staff. They make you feel special, and they can't do enough to accomodate you!
I recently lost my dad and for the past 3 years caring for him, I didn't take good care of me, especially my hair. I had the pleasure of meeting Roy and he recommended that I come in and pamper myself a bit. I'm so happy I did!! I feel like a new woman. Lisa DiGiacomo, Master Colorist has to be the best colorist I ever had! She is so talented at choosing color that fits your skin tone. I put all the decisions in her hands. My color is beautiful, and my new hair cut! There are no words to describe..... I literally walked out of the salon and was stopped on the street by two girls to ask where I got my hair done. I gave them Lisa's card, I wish I had more to distribute! I will definitely be going back, and I highly recommed everyone go the new beautiful Roy Teeluck Salon on 57th Street. An experience like no other! Thank you again Roy! gg
I have never been big on getting my hair done but I recently decided that it was time for a change and I wanted to splurge a little and get a real salon experience. I heard about Roy Teeluck through a coworker of mine and decided to try it out. As I am turning 30 a few grays were popping up so I decided to get a single process and highlights. My colorist Lisa was was so great. She was really friendly and I just let her choose the color and the highlights she thought would look best with my light complexion. She used the Balayage technique which I have never even seen done. The color and highlights looked so natural. I even got compliments from other people getting there hair done in the salon. It was absolutely worth the money and I will definitely be going back to Lisa for my coloring!!
I have never went on a date feeling so great in my life.
I was Recomended to Lisa at Roy teeluck Salon on 57th street. My co-worker goes to Lisa, and everytime i see her in our office, her hair looks like she should the new spokesperson for Pantene Pro V . So healthy looking.
SO i took her recomendation and went to Lisa. She gave me the most amazing highlights, and after getting blown out by Tim, i felt the best ive felt in a long time. My date was a success, and lisa is also!!
See ya guys soon!
I based my decision to go to see Diego soley based on Citysearch reviews and I was not disappointed!\r
I was in NY visiting from the midwest where I have an excellent hairdresser and loyal client for the past ten years--but I was in a rut and wanted a new look. I went to see Diego based on other reviews and was greeted by the salon staff very warmly. Met with Diego for a consultation and told him to do whatever he thought would work for my hair (previously shoulder length) and he showed me a look on his ipad he had done for another client and I said YES!\r
The shampoo assistant was sweet and friendly, and although I did not have them do color, Diego consulted with a colorist who told me what color they thought I needed--I felt I had to have my stylist at home do my color- although I should have let Diego do it anyway.\r
So, I left with a great new look which I have been constantly complimented, even unrecognizeable to some friends!\r
I went to my stylist at home for color the next week and she was understanding and did the coloring suggested by Diego. I can't say enough good things about him and the salon!!!\r
I can't wait to go to NY again to see him!!!
I was so happy with my experience at Roy Teeluck. I previously only trusted my tresses to my longtime hairdresser in Paris and when forced to come to terms with the fact that the Euro prevented me from going more than once a year, decided to search for someone local. Three years and countless mediocre to terrible cuts later I found Diego Miranda at Roy Teeluck. I've now seen him twice and he has given me cuts that people continue to marvel at! The first everyone said ""was the cut that was meant for me"" and the one I got this week is getting rave reviews AGAIN!!! I'm a devout follower...Love him!!!
I have been going here since the salon opened and have never gone anywhere else for a haircut or highlights since. Everyone is very friendly and extremely professional! Roy cuts my hair most of the time and he always delivers! He always gives his full attention to the client and does not let what is going on in the salon distract him. I go to Abby for my highlights and I get compliments on my color all the time!!! She is a wonderful person and a great colorist! I live in NJ and travel an hour just to get my hair done here!! IT IS WORTH IT!! LOVE THE ROY TEELUCK SALON!
One of the most relaxing, invigorating, unpretentious experiences I've had at any salon has got to be my recent visit to the Roy Teeluck salon. I walked into a greatly-lit space, and was readily welcomed by the super friendly staff at the front desk. I was immediately greeted by DIEGO who was so intuitive with my needs for a new look that I completely set all my usual hair-cutting fears aside. I had been referred to him by a friend of mine whose hair looks absolutely the cutest I've ever seen it look, so I decided to go with her recommendation and give him a try. Well let me tell you.... DIEGO is nothing short of amazing. He gave me the perfect cut to suit my everyday needs. He was so attentive and sweet that I just felt so at ease with him and trusted that my hair was in good hands. I walked out of the salon, with a gorgeous haircut, that is completely manageable even in the days after visiting the salon. I cannot say just how pleased and ecstatic I am with the service and reliability of everyone at the Roy Teeluck Salon. I will, without a doubt, be recommending DIEGO and the Roy Teeluck Salon to my friends. It is definitely one of the best salon experiences I've ever had!!
Lovely place, nicely appointed new location. Russ is great for highlights and Diego for cut, style. Price is still reasonable for what they do.
After being highly recommended by a collegue from work, I scheduled an appointment at ROY TEELUCK with Lisa for highlites. I walked into this amazing new salon on 57th street and once I stepped out of the elevator I knew I was in good hands. Lisa did this new way of highliting I never saw before. Whatever she did in the process made my hair look beautiful and very natural.
Since my appointment I have received so many complements. If anyone is looking for a new colorist ask for Lisa.
Having read several glowing reviews of the Roy Teeluck Salon and, in particular, hairstylist Diego, I decided to give it a try. Sure enough, I wasn't disappointed by the experience. As stylists to celebs and fashion models, they're experts in their trade. Diego Miranda is the nicest and most competent hairstylist I've been to in the city. I brought in pictures of hairstyles I liked and explained what I was looking for. After a thorough consultation, Diego and I agreed on a cut which would work best for me. I left the salon with the most amazing cut and a style which can be replicated at home. Many thanks to Diego!
I'd like to start off by saying that this salon is very professional, has an extremely friendly and accommodating staff, and a very helpful manager (Keith). I also noticed that they do an incredibly great job with hair cuts.
When I booked my appointment, I do what I always do when I'm going to a new salon and explained that I NEED a senior stylist and that I have natural black hair and its going blond and this is a root touch up with highlights. Upon telling my colorist what I wanted, I noticed she was hesitant. I even showed her a picture of what I wanted. What happened next baffled me! She said she was going to go mix color and she came back with a contract! The crux of it was that she and the salon were not responsible for any damage that may happen to my hair because I wanted to take my hair so light. REALLY?! Are you kidding me?I've been to several high end salons and NEVER have I had to sign a contract. I was in disbelief and completely irked, however since I had already paid for my services, I didn't want to leave so I just signed the stupid thing.
I came in as a BLOND with black roots in need of a touch up, requesting exactly that and possibly LIGHTER hair! I left the salon a DARK BRUNETTE! To say that I was upset is a complete understatement. I couldn't believe my eyes. Aside from the dark brown hair, parts of my hair was grayish green, other parts where patchy, and some highlights were half an inch if not more away from my scalp! SO I calmly called the salon and explain this to the manager, Keith, who was more than attentive and accommodating and he scheduled me for a correction. He assured me that he would be in the salon when I came in for the correction as well as another colorist to help her. First of all I've never had to have a correction, and second I'm uncomfortable about the whole process because I've basically insulted someone's work and its not what I intended to do; however I'm not spending money for you to give me something I HATE! So I went back to the salon and everything I was told happened. The manager was there and he greeted me and another colorist was there to help. I went over all my problem areas with her and she assured me she would go over every section of my hair. I AGAIN showed her a picture of what I wanted my hair to look like and this is a picture of ME and MY HAIR.
What did I get this time? A lighter version of the same mess. Even though she was able to lighten me up, I am no where no blond, if anything I'm a LIGHT BROWN. My hair is still PATCHY and the highlights that were half and inch or more away from my scalp, they are still half an inch or more away from my scalp. NONE OF MY COMPLAINTS WERE FIXED, except for the lightening of my hair. Furthermore, I still have some grayish green in my hair, but i was assured that it would be washed away. I expressed my disappointment and dissatisfaction to Keith who advised me to give the hair some time to settle in and I told him that was fine. He assured me that if I was unhappy with it, he would be more than happy to fix my hair. When I went through my hair with a straightener, I noticed even more faults and mistakes with my hair and this just infuriated me even more. To make matters worse, I've had several people, even STRAIGHT MEN comment ""oh your hair is darker."" Now this solidifies my belief that my color is indeed darker and that its not just me.
I'm hoping that my hair nightmare will turn around and be fixed, but as of now I HATE MY COLOR. A salon of this caliber and reputation SHOULD NEVER produce mistakes of my kind!!! This salon has been recognized by many popular fashion magazines and they should not be proud to call themselves a reputable salon with what they did to my hair! Hopefully I can update my review to say that my mistake of a color job has been fixed and I love my hair now.
My experience at Roy teeluck salon was fabulous! I surely did some research before i had my hair done at Roy Teeluck. I read an article (Thetrendreport.ch) about the salon and the colorist Abby Haliti who is the master of the Ombre effect. Everything written about her was so positive and i thought it could be too good to be true. I was wrong!
From the very begging of our consultation Abby understood exactly what i wanted to achieve. A very natural summer beachy look, as if it was lighten by the sun. Just like Lily Aldrige's hair. I was impressed by the technique she used, she hand painted my hair like an artist. She was so sweet and nice its like she knew what i wanted before i even told her! She is such a positive person i felt very comfortable in her chair. The benefit of doing the Ombre is that you only need to do it every 4 to 5 months! So there is no need to run back to the salon every 5 weeks and touch up the roots. Im definitely going to go back to Abby! She is Picasso when is comes to painting hair!
