In Short
From its second-story perch, this modern salon situates its styling chairs to overlook the chic 57th Street shops below--and lends that same high-fashion inspiration to their hair styling. Neither snobby nor overly-trendy, Teeluck's simple but marble-embellished surroundings and top-level staff create classic hair, brows and nails. The colorists are trained in the French technique of baliage, which eschews foils for a more natural looking result, and allows for fewer touch-ups.

Key Points

  • Full-Service NYC Salon
  • Balayage Color Highlights, Cut
  • New Late Night Evening Hours!

The Inside Scoop

  1. Hair Removal - In-house brow guru Duffy will put plucking junkies on a "Brow Beautification Program" where any and all tweezer-use is strictly prohibited until she gets you to the shape you were born to wear.
  2. Manicures/Pedicures - Have your nails painted while you cut or color and emerge fully gorgeous in half the time.
  3. What to Drink - Have them brew you a frothy cappuccino, made with quadruple-filtered water, to sip on while you get coiffed.

Ratings_icons Not a "fake review" here!

countrycats

I do not usually write reviews, but I had to respond to the reviewer who urged people to disregard what she referred to as "fake reviews." I am here to say she could not be more wrong. This review is real, as am I. I am not related to nor do I have any relationship, professional or otherwise, with Roy Teeluck salon or any of its employees. Therefore, my review is completely unbiased.
I saw Tim Johnson for a haircut last Friday. I found him to be as professional as he is charming, and he took all the time in the world with me. I am not an easy haircut, as my hair is thin and fine, but Tim made me look great.
I do not know the expertise of the individuals mentioned in the review entitled "disappointing" but I can assure anyone who reads my review that I am a real person, who is writing of her very real experience at this salon.

Ratings_icons Dream salon!

citygal68

Ever the downtown gal, I first stepped into Roy Teeluck with more than a a bit of trepidation. Had I donned a chic enough outfit (or did I even own one !)? Would ladies-who-lunch be glamming beside me, while yappy poodles napped on their laps? Could a mere freelance writer like me ever fit in with the moneyed crowd I expected to be surrounded by? One step into the salon and the fears faded. Warmth and sincerity generously flowed from coat check to styling chair, shampoo, and beyond. Owner Roland Peralta sets the tone, with his infectious enthusiasm, charm, and generosity. He's happy to take time away from his tiny on-site office to make sure that every client is getting what they need (and that includes a cup of soothing tea or option to order lunch, if you've missed yours!). But, most importantly, I have never been so thrilled with my color. LAUREN is INCREDIBLE. She transformed years and years of so-so color into the most natural, soft, gorgeous look I've ever had. Downtown has its charms, but for haircare I'm an uptown gal now.

Pros: Lauren for color--amazing; kind, warm, accommodating staff

Cons: Yes, it's uptown prices, but worth every cent

The stylists at the Roy Teeluck salon are phenomenal. I have gotten my hair cut twice there, and each time Roy and his staff amazed me with their ability to sculpt, style and work with my hair so that it fell beautifully naturally and was easy to style with the option of dressing it u it up for fancy occasions. Unlike any other salon I have encountered, they understand hair, and work to understand exactly how your hair behaves and how much time you devote to your hair. Always blowdry? fine. never blowdry? fine.
For anyone looking for a haircut to make you completely rethink haircare and walk out with a beautiful style that will last for months I would recommend Roy Teeluck. Theyre worth every penny.

Pros: the stylists, the ambiance, the professionalism

Cons: its pricey, but you get quality beyond what you pay for

mchambers007

I recently visited the Roy Teeluck Salon and will keep going back. All around the service was top knotch. I saw Benoit for highlights and a trim. My blonde hair had seen too much of the sun and was in need love. He was professional and fun, everything you would want in a stylist. I left looking amazing, and after the special conditioning treatment I felt like a milion bucks. His cut was sleek and stylist without going overboard, and he gave me loads of advice as to which products to use, etc. Its so refreshing to visit madison avenue without the stuffiness. Also the espresso and other perks didn't hurt! Benoit is an amazing colorost and I'd recommend him to anyone!

Ratings_icons Call Tim Johnson

tkat2

Tim has been cutting and coloring my hair for about 6 years. I cannot say enough about him. He is THE BEST hair stylist I have ever found. I receive compliments on my hair all the time and I always say, "I can't take credit. It's Tim. Call him." The best thing about Tim is that he really respects the feelings of his clients. He has great instincts, will help you brainstorm, and offer his advice. but, he is never pushy. He will listen to every word you say, answer any question, and work with you until you are happy. . . as long as it takes. I trust his judgement completely. And, on top of being a fantastic stylist, he is just a really wonderful human being, kind and down to earth, with a great sense of perspective and humor. After meeting several know-it-all NY stylists, it has been so refreshing to find Tim. I would follow him anywhere. Call him. He will take such good care of you.

Ratings_icons WORST COLOR

laurenserr

After reading all the great reviews I decided to go to Benoit for color (I recently died my hair to a dark brown shade). Benoit came over with the hair swatches and "matched" my color, he slopped the "rich chocolate color" on my hair staining my forehead and face. I did not have enough time to get my hair blown out so I payed my $170 bill and left with my hair sopping wet. When I got home i blew it out and noticed that my roots were orange, the color did not match my color at all. When I went to a new colorist she asssumed that I colored it myself and was astonished when i told her the truth. I walked out of there with the color to my liking and a bill less than half the price of RT. I learned my lesson: never trust computer reviews.

Pros: none

Cons: expensive horrible hair color

I'd suffered through bad haircut after bad haircut until a friend got her hair cut by Tim and loved it. From my first cut I've been hooked! He listens to what I want, asks and answers questions, makes suggestions and never rushes. I've been seeing him for years now and I always walk out with the best cut and color possible.

I also have to say that I really like his new salon. Everyone at Roy Teeluck was kind and helpful. I'm looking forward to my next cut!

Ratings_icons Great salon

Zekie has given me the best haircut and color I have ever had. I have short red hair and it is so easy to manage and always looks great.. I get compliments all the time. Sometimes he does bangs, sometimes he doesn't but I have complete confidence in him and I let him do whatever he wants. It takes me 3 minutes to do my hair in the morning which I just love. I have used hairdressers at some of the finest salons in the city, but no one has done as well for me as Zekie. He is consistent and really knows what he is doing. And he is a real nice guy, The salon is great and everyone is as friendly as can be. And Marisol gives a wonderful shampoo. I recently chaired a fundraiser for MS and Roy Teeluck who is the spokesperson for Nexxus products donated 800 items and 800 gift certificates for our goodie bags. That was greatly appreciated. I highly recommend the Roy Teeluck Salon

Tim looked at me as I described my hair woes--a winter of the relentless St. Barth sun, straight irons, blow-outs, curling irons and the final blow--a color job that left me a dried out blond--too blond. We talked about what I wanted, he showed me pictures, we talked about Sharon Stones cool hair cut, and then boom! We decided that my last ten year old hair-do was history. A hip, face softening cut, new warm color and a new attitude to match. Tim is perceptive and he listens. You tell him what you want and he will work with you to give you the best of it.

Ratings_icons The absolute worst!

tulalula

I was so excited to go to the salon for an updo for a special occasion in light of all the amazing reviews on this site. I had no problem getting an appointment for myself and my friend who was also going to the same event. My friend got her hair washed with ice cold water - the reason they gave us was that they had no hot water that day. That's when the whole experience started feeling like a big mistake and somewhat of a turture. After working on my hair for a long time because the stylist was trying to curl it and it would not take the curl (I have very straight hair) he kept curl-ironing one particular section over and over again for a while. I was a little nervous but assumed that he knew what he was doing. The final look came together eventually but once I got home and washed my hair after the event, I was left with a section of hair in the front.that was much shorter than the rest of my hair and very wirey and obviously permanently damaged. He (Andre) burned my hair. I was so disappointed because I had faith in him and he permanently damaged my hair and in a very obvious way. Needless to say, I will never got back.

Pros: nice location

Cons: overpriced

I've been seeing Tim for over 2 years now thru a friend, and I wont trust my haircolor to anyone else. He is truly talented, and has a great personality as well. He is gifted at finding the best color for you. He can do multiple colors without looking streaky or fake; which I've experienced even at the most exclusive salons in nyc. With Tim, I always leave looking like I stepped out of the pages of a magazine. Michelle

Ratings_icons Best Salon in New York

karinny

Benoit & Andre: I have finally found THE salon in New York where the service is both friendly and professional and the staff is consistently superb. I had my very first color with Benoit whose expertise would put any newbe at ease. He clearly loves what he does and seems to have an obvious natural eye for choosing the color that works. For me, he suggested my own natural dark brown - but gave me shine, depth and richness I didn't realize existed. Andre did the cut and gave me a look that is versatile and gorgeous. It has taken me a long time to find a stylist in New York that didn't get burnt out or simply didn't understand the look I wanted - or couldn't produce it. Well, Andre does it all - He enjoys his work, loves seeing the results and, most importantly, gives a cut to die for. I have never had so many friends and strangers approach me to tell me how attractive I am. Thank you to Benoit and Andre for being so fantastic! I highly highly recommend these guys if you want to look your absolute BEST!!

Ratings_icons Benoit / Andre .. I Would Never Stray

melms

I've gone to many of "the best" salons in New York City and Roy Tee Luck Salon surpasses them all. I have paid top dollar at other salons for highlights and have come out with horrible color and damaged hair. Benoit is absolutely the best. He knows exactly what I want and when I leave the salon my hair is healthier and shinier then when I walked in. Benoit also introduced me to Andre for extensions and haircuts. I couldn't be happier with my new long hair. When I went on vacation and went to the hotel spa, the stylist had commented that my extensions were the best that she had seen. It's great to be able to goto one salon for color, cut and extensions. The staff is friendly and accommodating and I always look forward to getting the best head massages by the women who wash my hair!!!!!!!!

Pros: Atmosphere, Talented Staff

Ratings_icons Best Haircut in NYC

cabella

I have been to some of the most famous hair stylists in NYC and I have to say that Roy Teeluck gives far and away the best hair cut I have ever had?ever. He is truly gifted and simply the loveliest man to boot. I have gone to him for years and he never ceases to amaze me with how wonderful he makes me and everyone else look. The salon is a great place to kick back and relax. The vibe is high energy and upbeat without being frenetic, like many salons and everyone who works there is really nice. Dora finishes off every look perfectly; Maresol gives wonderful shampoos and makes the best coffee in NYC. And while I haven't gone to them personally, Tim, Andre, and Foto have given my friends really great cuts. You are definitely missing out if you don't put your head in Teeluck's hands.

Benoit is amazing! I am prematurely gray and have always had rather frizzy hair. When I started going to him a year ago, I was trying to grow out the remains of a Japanese straightening treatment - my hair was just a mess! He suggested a combination of single-process and highlights that covered the gray, and looked completely natural - but even better! He also gave me a hair treatment (X-tenso) that reduced the frizz but kept the natural volume that the Japanese treatment had stripped out. Most importantly - he manages my hair. He takes care to ensure that I do the minimum treatments necessary and spaced appropriately so that my hair stays shiny and glossy! Definitely book an appointment with Benoit!

When i was in the salon yesterday i experienced a difficlut client moment that Roy had to handle himself. The client he was trying to accomadate was upset for ,what seemed to me, nothing. At least nothing that Roy wasn't willing to fix. As the woman was rambling on it turned out that she was trying to get Roy to pay for her new extensions and not to get her color fixed. I think we call that extortion in this country no? Especially that the color had nothing to do with her bad extentions. I felt so bad for Roy who actually doesn't know me but i have admired his work and i just happened to be online to write a review for my fovorite staff member when i saw another review that looked the the incident i saw. Don't worry Roy, you have slimy people everywhere, And your salon is the best....

Ratings_icons Book an appointment with Tim, he is EXCELLENT.

gaffergirl

Tim has been cutting my hair for 4 years, and I always leave the salon looking and feeling fantastic. I like to be able to look good without having to spend a lot of time my hair every morning, and his cuts are both very stylish, and very low maintence.

I like to keep my hair short. So many stylists out there think this means I want something boyish and severe. Tim's cuts let me keep my hair short and still be feminine.

I liked him so much I sent mom to him. She and I have very different hair (fine and straight versus wavy and thick) and Tim did beatiful work on both of us.

I trust Tim's taste implicitly. When I sit down for an appointment all I have to tell him is how long I I want my hair to be and let him work. I have always been thrilled with the results.

Pros: Great Haircut.

Cons: None that I found.

Ratings_icons Zeki is one of the best stylists in the country

nygoddess

Zeki Dogulu has been cutting my hair for over five years. His resume and portfolio cannot be believed (he was one of the best stylists in Europe before he moved here). Every cut he's ever given me has grown out beautifully (make sure you go to him at least twice, he'll remember how he cut your hair and how fast it grew out where and he'll make adjustments). I'll go 4 months without a haircut sometimes and people will ask if I've just gotten it cut because it still looks so good. I trust him so much that now I walk in and tell him to do whatever he wants, because I trust his judgement and it ALWAYS looks fantastic. Trust Zeki. About six of my friends are now clients of his because they've loved what he's done with my hair. I'm the president of the Zeki Dogulu fan club.

He also does my coloring. His highlights are so natural, and the color so good, that I have literally gotten stopped on the street by people who say, "i'm a stylist, your highlights are gorgeous, can I ask who did them?"

As a person, he's funny, intelligent, and sage. I'm not sure what I'd do without Zeki in my life!

Pros: Service is excellent, place is comfortable, everyone there is uber nice, convenient location

Cons: it's not cheap...

I've been to the salon several times now and I always see Tim Johnson. His sense of what looks good on me is always so right on that I generally let him do whatever he thinks will look best. I've loved all of my cuts and color that I've gotten from him, and I always get tons of compliments. In fact, four of my friends now also see Tim at Roy Teeluck Salon and are devoted to his genius as well. The rest of the stylists and staff are also incredibly friendly and talented, and I've never had anything less than an excellent experience there.

Ratings_icons Great cut AND color! Absolutely fabulous!

mmbeagle

Foto has cut my hair -- long, thick, slightly wavy hair -- for over five years. Foto gets it... she has long hair herself, and she understands it! It has to look great down, it has to go up in a ponytail for summer/ gym/ etc, and it needs to not take two hours in the morning to deal with! I have had my hair butchered (too) many times in the past -- at very high-end salons -- and I got squeamish about the scissors until Foto -- she has given me the best cuts ever, and she listens BEFORE she cuts. I have never completely trusted someone with my hair before her... so much that I asked her to refer me to colorist Michelle Fury. My hair is dark brunette, with, dare I admit it, the beginnings of neon gray... Michelle is a genius at creating the best cool brunette shade that covers the gray with no orangy-red oxidation -- it shines amazingly, and the color doesn't destroy my hair! She has fixed the previous highlights-gone-bad and gotten me back to my natural state, only better -- I love it!!! She has a great eye for color -- not everyone needs highlights it turns out! Michelle and Foto are both such great people -- very down to earth, great pride in their work -- highly, highly recommended!

Ratings_icons Benoit = Color Genius.....top notch salon with down-to-earth attitude

melindanyc

Ok, first the scoop on the salon -- seriously FABULOUS!! I had completely sworn off "uptown" salons when I stumbled across Roy Teeluck after buying a spa package that included a color/cut/brow fix there. I went in expecting my clothes, shoes, bag, etc. to be scrutinized while being shuffled from assistant to assistant after spending maybe ten minutes with some prima dona stylist who would make me feel lucky just to be there....this was definitely to be a one-time visit before retreating back to my friendly non-judgmental neighborhood place. I was so wrong! Everyone from the receptionists to the stylists was completely (and genuinely) friendly and professional (absolutely no attitude)....and they actually care about you. I had so much fun (not to mention walking out with great hair) that I abandoned my neighborhood joint and have been loyal to RTS ever since.

Now the stylists -- BENOIT is hands down the best colorist I've ever been to! I came to him as a brassy yellow blonde (think he called it a cross between big bird something else not good that I can't remember - he said it in only the nicest way possible, of course) and now I have this beautiful champagne color (he calls it /sham-pan/, in a way that only someone with a french accent can). What's more is my hair has never been healthier or shinier. Love it! Plus, he spends a ton of time with you and has a wonderfully fun and crazy energy. He even forgave me for being 30 mins late to my last appt:)) ANDRE is amazing for cuts! He maintains the length but gives your hair tons of shape and movement. Also does awesome blowouts that last for days (that's right, he actually dries you himself) and such a sweetheart he is. DUFFY is a master with the tweezers. She broke me of my waxing habit and made me let my brows grow in...they look great now. Overall, 5 STARS - best salon in town - I won't go anywhere else!

Pros: really talented stylists, fantastic client service, friendly no-attitude atmosphere

Cons: none

Ratings_icons I finally found my hairstylist!

erinnewyork

I've been in the city for over six years and admittedly have never settled on a stylist after one dramatic disaster at a salon on the UWS. I don't mind paying for a good cut, but since I moved to the city was just couldn't find a stylist I liked as well as ones I'd gone to on the west coast. I knew that was odd and continued to shop around but couldn't find a stylist who could really give my hair a style not just a cut. I'd usually come out $150-200 poorer and wondered if it was worth it.

A friend had recommend Tim Johnson back when he worked down in Tribecca. She came back with the best cut and said, "You won't believe this. I went to this amazing stylist. He sat me down. We talked about what I like about my hair, what product I use, what it usually looks like and how I wish it would look. He then cut it and showed me three ways to do it." Who does that? I finally decided a long time later to go to Tim. I did and had the exact same treatment. And then went above and beyond and spent the time to show me a style that took way more time than the average style, but made me feel like a million bucks- no extra charge. I am still surprised by the whole experience. Love the cut (best I've had in years). Loved the salon. (Free Diet Cokes- need I say more.) Loved Tim. Will definitely go back.

Pros: Nice location. Talented stylists. Very nice staff.

Cons: Prices are worth it but may be high for some customers.

Ratings_icons It is time to settle down.

_melinda_

I've been flitting from hairstylist to hairstylist all my life.... and now I've finally found the One. Nathalie Herve is? a miracle. No more no less. /

I walked in as a literal disaster: a friend of mine had gotten annoyed and chopped off what had become a single hideous mess/ accidental dreadlock. So, it was short and long all over in patches. I said to Nathalie, ?Fix me.? And she did. I walked out with a haircut I?ve felt more comfortable wearing than any other. People react to me differently, and I feel more *me.* /

It?s hard to find stylists that can deal with my hair, because it?s both very thin and very fine. Layer it and it frazzles like a bird?s nest. Leave it straight and it hangs like a wet mop. Natalie seemed instantly at ease, though. She said she liked to work ?with the hair?s texture instead of against it.? I suspect she worked with the horrid previous cut instead of against it, too, because she gave me something stylish; the kind you?re supposed to spend hours moussing to make it look as if it were by accident. The way she did it, though, it only takes five minutes to style. Sometimes a hairstylist will spend as much time drying and moussing my hair as they did cutting it.... Nathalie says this can sometimes be an attempt cover up a bad cut. In my case, at least, I think that has been true. /

I wish I remembered the name of the colorist who worked with me because she was perfect too. Colorists always want to make me blonde. Blonde does look good on me, but I?ve never felt right in it. I think (now) that most colorists simply do not have a great judgement for color and so always want to stay with what they know. But when I said I?d always wanted to go red, this girl looked at me and said, yeah, alright, that could work really well on you. She did it not-too-strong to keep it natural. And, I loved it. *Loved* it! /

Alright, I?d write more but I?m at the type limit. Good stuff, guys. Good stuff :)

Pros: Expertise, Attention, Service

Ratings_icons Benoit + Roy = Dream Team

justinenyc

After my millionth trip to Roy Teeluck, I had to write something to thank my friends Benoit and Roy for their kindness and expertise. Benoit is a riot and always indulges my always-changing opinion about what color I want my hair to be. Roy always sits down with me to chat and is a doll to my family. I love this place and would never go any where else. I always leave feeling like my color is perfect and my blow-out is voluminous, soft and beautiful (never cheesy or sticky). I honestly don't ever need to find a new place :) These people know what they're doing and you'll be a client forever after one time!

Ratings_icons You can't beat Nathalie and Duffy!

jerseyjeanne

I have been having my hair cut by Nathalie for over ten years! She is best by far! She takes her time, cuts with your hair and makes it easy to style. You should make an appointment. Duffy is the best brow tamer - well worth the uncomfortable plucking!

Ratings_icons Gorgeous Civility!

victoriacrowan

I am a native NYer who has worked in the fashion/media biz and as a result I am damned picky, so I don't come to raves easily but it's such a rare pleasure to have one's expectations exceeded, I had to write a review. First of all, I like feeling pampered--coat check, complimentary beverage, excellent head massage during the shampoo--while also feeling like I'm getting efficient service. I also liked looking around me and seeing a variety of women and ages and looks being created--sometimes when I go to a "name" salon, I'm scared that I'm going to get the salon's signature look vs. my own. I liked that my stylist--the goodnatured and very talented-listener Mie Tomioka--created a layered cut (that remedied a previous bad cut) that would still look good wash-and-wear (without daily blowdrying and high-maintenance fussing). I also liked that I'd been letting my natural haircolor grow in and she didn't try to talk me into highlights. And what I REALLY like is that she showed me some easy ways to recreate the look I walked out of there with--and now, a week later, my hair really does look great and gets me compliments. I love that I can be lazy about styling on my own and still enjoy a glam shaped cut. Standing ovation!

Pros: Talented staff, welcoming atmosphere, pampering yet efficient

Cons: Can't think of any!

Ratings_icons Nathalie is unique and the best by far

jesdw

My wife and I have been having our hair cut by (and only by) Nathalie for over 13 years. She takes incredible care in doing her work and has an uncanny ability to match the contour of a head to the way she cuts the hair upon it. The results are completely natural so that there is no need to coax your hair into a style. Furthermore, her scissoring technique is completely unique and a wonder to observe! She leaves soft lines and no stray hairs as she is as meticulous as she is talented.

Pros: Great haircut from Nathalie!

Cons: None

Ratings_icons Best experience I've had at a salon!

nvanunen

10 out of 10. I moved to New York 14 months ago, and had a very hard time finding a salon that did a great job of my hair, and was a lovely environment to be in - I can honestly say I've found it. I had my color done by Benoit, and it's truly amazing. I've been asking colorists for countless years to give me a rich cholcolate brown, and that's exactly what I got from Benoit. I would highly recommend Benoit for anyone wanting superb, brilliant color. And if that wasn't enough, I had the marvelous Nathalie cutting my hair. I've had the same boring hair cut for the past 6 years and trusted Nathalie to cut my hair based on her own judgement. And what a fabulous result. I walking out of the salon a different woman. 10 out of 10 for cut and color. I've finally found the perfect combination of hair colorist and cutter. Could not recommend them both highly enough.

Pros: Great environment, amazingly skilled staff. All round fabulous experience.

Cons: None - it was truly a great experience.

Ratings_icons An Outstanding Colorist, Michele Fury

stathisjamie

For convenience, I tried a local salon in Astoria.
My hair literally turned green. Frantic I ran to Michele.

I do not know how, but she did it. My hair was restored to the color I originally requested, dark brown with light brown highlights.

A very talented and experienced colorist. I highly recommend Michele Fury.

Pros: A wonderful salon with a very professional staff.

Ratings_icons Exactly what I asked for!

guls7

Tim was great! I often have trouble getting what I want across to hair stylists, and especially when I ask for a short style I often leave with something more conservative than I described. When I told Tim what I was thinking he was enthusiastic and helpful in making sure we were on the same page - he knew all the right questions to ask and kept me involved throughout the haircut. And I love it! It's exactly what I had in mind. My boyfriend loves it too - he can't stop playing with my hair! It was definitely worth coming from upstate and I will be back.

Ratings_icons Receptionists are HARD TO FIND

A friend who lives in New Jersey suggested this salon to me. I've had my fair share of hair stylists in the past and began not to trust them. Over the years they would do my hair and do what they thought was the "Best" for me but what they didn't know is that I hated every style every color! My friend made the appointment over the holidays for herself and for me. I was certainly skeptical who wouldn't be, right?!

I sat there watching some of the stylists work with their clients and this calming feeling came over me. I was floored when the colorist to my right ASKED her client what it was she was looking for. I got out of my chair and walked to the front I wanted to make sure this wasn't a dream ... that there would be other stylists listening to their clients. When I walked by the front desk I was again greeted by the same person who booked my friends appointment, Jacqueline. "Can I get you anything", she asked. Again this has NEVER happened to me before. Always an attitude! This wasn't something you learn from a JOB it's who you are as a person, it's where you came from, etc.

In a nutshell I was given the BEST color EVER by a lovely gal named Michelle. I called a week and a half ago to book another appointment but this time I could go alone. I knew I would be taken care of but when I was making the appointment I had heard that Jacqueline was no longer working there. I was sad quite sad actually. She truly took the time to book our appointment, made me feel comfortable over the phone she even made me laugh with her REAL sense of Humor. She greeted my friend and I when we got off the elevator, convinced us to have a cup of tea and when I walked by she asked again!!!

I LOVED the color no question and that girl MICHELLE truly has a gift! I will have to think long and hard about coming back to a salon where the revolving door is back. The girl who sat behind the counter had a voice and I heard it. She will be missed!!!!

Pros: Michelle YOU made me feel extra special and Jacqueline too

Cons: I think you know

Ratings_icons Best Salon!!

rockland007

I come in from Upstate NY to Roy Teeluck because they are definitely the BEST anywhere around. I've tried many places and Roy Teeluck's Salon does it all perfect. Everyone tells me how fantastic my hair looks - but no one know the secret is fabulous extensions by Andre that look just like my hair - only more full. And the color by Benoit looks natural and lasts 3+ months without roots being noticeable. As if that wasn't enough to want to go there, the office is well organized and treats you like royalty. I could go on and on.

Pros: TOP expertise, fantastic customer service

Cons: It's perfect!

Natalie is a true artist, and brilliant when it comes to short hair - I adore her! The salon is open and airy, the staff is friendly and professional, and Duffy is the only one allowed to touch my eyebrows!

Ratings_icons Tim Johnson Rocks!!!

nychotdude

Today was the day I have dreamed of for over three years!! My last colorist/stylist moved away. He had been doing my hair exclusively for fifteen years. When he moved it was like the rug had been pulled out from under me. After that I had been referred a couple times to diffrent people and cried each time after my color was done...so, for the last two years I went natural..no color at all!! That color deprevation came to an end today when I met TIM JOHNSON. He not only colored my hair but he cut it aswell...I was blown away. Not only is he sweet, stylish, sophisticated, and caring above all he's extremly talented!! The salon staff was very welcoming. The cappucinos are great! The ambiance is cool yet comfertable. Tim really listened and worked with me as far as what I wanted to achieve with my color and cut. I definitly recommend his services and felt pampered by him from start to finish!! He is a 10!!

Pros: everything

Cons: nothing
