If Roy and Zeki had been in my life from the start, I could have saved myself a lot of headaches, tears and nightmares. For 25 years I would not let anyone near my hair, let alone have anyone cut it except for myself. I've always loved my hair, but became overly protective of it after several "traumatic" and awful hair salon experiences as a child and teenager. I had lost all faith and trust in hair stylists - until that memorable day in 2005, when I witnessed the high art of hair design at the Annual Academy Awards? Fashion Preview in Los Angeles. Not familiar with the Roy Teeluck Salon at the time, I was wondering who the creator of these gorgeous and stunning hairdos was. I constantly found myself pointing the camera not only at the gowns and jewelry, but at the unique hairstyles too. I've since been given the opportunity to meet two of these most talented hair designers of the Roy Teeluck Salon, Zeki Dogulu and Roy Teeluck himself. With their warm and welcoming approach, their zen-like yet creatively energetic personalities and their outstanding talent, they were able to put me at ease from day one, and most importantly, put an end to my nightmares. They've since not only beautified my hair and looks in the most incredible way, but also proved with their expertise and artistic view, that "they totally get who I am" - It's as "simple" as that! I've never experienced anything like that before and I feel blessed to have met them both. I also have huge praise for the Salon's Marketing Director, who not only provides excellent service, but in addition has always managed to brighten my day with her utmost kindness and helpfulness. And just in time for the Academy Awards season, I received a truly awesome haircut by Roy a couple of days ago, making me feel like an Oscar winner :-) I will make sure to follow up with either Zeki or Roy in the future, whenever their busy schedule permits them to come to LA - Roy Teeluck Salon, you've got yourself a new client :-)

Natalie knows the more about hair and what to do with it and how to do it than anyone i ever met. She is very talented. She is very respectful of what a person wants. She is very honest. Personally, i enjoy going, sitting in the chair and letting her cut my hair in the way she thinks will make me look the best. After very many years, she has not let me down. I can go there, sit in the chair, close my eyes, and wake up when my hair is finished. I struggle between relaxing and resting, because i totally trust her, or talking because I like her and like to hear what she has to say. On top of it, she is very well thought and thinks about what goes on in the rest of the world. SHE IS THE BEST! i encourage you to make an appointment and see what you think.

I was referred to Tim when I moved to NY 3 1/2 years ago and I can honestly say that I've never had a better cut or color in my life. He always takes a little extra time with me to play with my hair and try out new styles. Because of him I've tried colors and cuts that I never would have and lets just say - thank god I did. I would follow him anywhere and pay whatever his rates were. They pretty much doubled when he moved to Roy's spot and I'm more than happy to pay every extra penny. He's worth it.

I have been going to Nathalie for over 10 years now. I have followed her from her beginnings down in the West Village. Her hair cuts are the best I have ever had--the compliments are non stop. I've recommended a whole bunch of people to Nathalie over the years, too. She knows how to read the shape of your face and make the hair cut work. She is metiuclous about her work and it shows. My hair cut lasts for months, too, and it grows in beautifully. The new salon is a fun experience, from getting a manicure while you are getting your hair cut to getting your eyebrows shaped by Duffy.

I've been going to Nathalie Herve, stylist par excellence, for the past 9 years, following her to 4 different salons, no matter their location. I simply will not go to anyone else for a haircut. Ever. A true professional, Nathalie is consistently thorough, careful, thoughtful and courteous. After an hour with her, my hair always looks great, with every strand in place, and that's saying something, being that my hair is so fine and straight. I have been going to this salon for about a year now. Benoit does an awesome job. I went to him because I needed a change. He has an amazing talent with his colors and highlights and takes the time to consult with you on what you want. He also is honest about what will work with your skin tone, face shape etc. I get so many compliments on my hair for both the color and highlights. I have never been so happy with my hair. I have been trying to get this color for a long time and no one else was able to do it. The highlights are just as awesome. He was able to do exactly what I wanted with or without a picture. He is fun on top of all of his talent. He is very creative and funny. If you want a creative style -go see Benoit. He is awesome. Everyone is friendly at the salon. Its a great atmosphere.

Lauren is sweet and down to earth person. Her prices are affordable for the average person. My color/highlight look stunning. Her work is very detailed and she's a friendly. I highly recommend Lauren. A true artist at her craft! Emily is also a very cool, and kind person...her cuts are refreshing and very percise. Jackie is the best front desk person I have ever met at a salon. ...alway has a upbeat attitude and w/ a smile on her face.

I have had my hair done by Tim for almost 8 years. I will never go to anyone else. I have followed him all over the city and I will continue to follow him! My mother comes from North Carolina a few times a year to have her hair done by Tim. My boyfriend also sees Tim. No matter what kind of hair you have he will be able to get your hair to do what you want it to. I am an actress and a model. Tim has taken my hair from blonde to black and long to super short and I have always looked amazing! Tim is also a very sweet man who is very down to earth.

I'm a huge fan of Tim's and I've followed him from TriBeCa to the Lower East Side and, now, to Roy Teeluck Salon on E. 57th Street. Tim's color is superb - and his vision is exceptional. He took me from an ordinary over-highlighted blonde to a gorgeous, subtle shade of golden tones that simply glow. He is a wonderful listener who wants to know what you think before he gives you his own expert ideas. More than once, strangers have stopped to ask me who does my color.
I love Tim's new home at Roy Teeluck. The staff is professional, low pressure, friendly and attentive but thoughtful enough to let you sit quietly and just relax when you feel the need. There's nothing better than sitting upstairs, looking out the huge window over the glowing midtown cityscape while Tim works his magic.

Natalie Herve is the best! I have been with her through four salons and will follow her anywhere as long as it is in NYC! She is incredibly meticulous, and never rushes (takes a full hour!) resulting in a fantastic cut. In addition, she is a wonderful person!

Lauren is an excellent and well trained color specialist. I was unsure which way to go with my hair color and Lauren really read me, and created beautiful highlights in my hair. She was fun to chat with and made the time pass quickly. Dora at the salon is also great and in no time turned a regular blowout into a glamorous and fun hairdo. I was pleasantly surprised with how trendy yet friendly and down to earth the stylists and salon are.

I have followed Nathalie from one salon to another because of her haircutting expertise and personality. She is a delightful person, and obviously loves what she is doing. She never assumes. Each time she asks "what did you have in mind today?" I look forward to seeing her, watching her perform her artistry, and always walk out feeling happier about my appearance than when I entered. In addition I have had many compliments from others. The salon staff are friendly and the environment unintimidating which is not always the case in New York City.

I have been going to Benoit for color and highlights for 2 years. I always get compliments on my color, even weeks after it's been done. Roy Teeluck Salon is casual,hip and comfortable, and everyone is always friendly. It is worth the drive from New Jersey to get my hair done!!

Nathalie Herve is incredibly detailed with every last strand of hair and takes as much time as she needs to perfect her work of art... and it is a work of art. This pro goes out of her way making your cut worth every penny and believe me, I've spent double on celebrity hair dressers who have butchered me to the point of tears. I'm picky and Nathalie never lets me down. The salon is 100% customer service.

I was visiting a friend in the city this past xmas when I came across a hair salon on E. 57th. Of course my friend told me about it but i said what the heck I'll go by anyway! As soon as you get off the elevator you're greeted by friendly faces at the front desk. A blonde gal with gorgeous curls and a tall brunette! After my color with michelle I headed over to the woman they call "the eyebrow slayer". You must go it's truly an experience! Next time I'm in town I will make an appointment I might even bring my friends along and make it a day of beauty! Thanks Roy Teeluck Salon for giving me one of the best experiences I've had in many years!

HI, Well I never wrote a review online...but I don't know another way to best get my point across to people in need of a extraordinary NYC Colorist...Benoit is the name!!! I have been coloring my hair for 7years. Hair color is very important to me..hair maintenence, health of my hair is very important to me.. I have been to Colorists top colorists in London, France, L.A, Boston, NY, and Hong Kong, so called "top" colorists to celebrities etc. blah blah blah..I've spend tons of money for my hair color and most of them damaged my hair with single process, gave me very fake looking blonde, and one even bleached my hair so much to get me the "beach color blonde" that my hair fell out..I always running back and forth to get my roots done., and still my hair looked not shiny and like frizzy hay strands.. Until I by accident discovered Benoit.. I had just permanently moved to New York and was looking around Citysearch..this website gave Benoit enormous praise, and ALL highly reccomended him.. I thought "yeah right" this must be a hoax, to get people to come to him... But it still stuck in my head "wow so many people love Benoit".. I was getting Laser Hair removal on 57th when by accident i went to the wrong floor and found myself in RoyTeeluck salon.i remember the name from citysearch walked in and decided to take a chance i would never regret.This gorgous tall blue eyed man with the greatest sense of humor and warm heart came into my life..he did my lowlites and my highlites (we BOTH agreed that my hair needed dimension due to its all one color brassy look) i dried my hair expecting the worst (as i always been the biggest critic of hair color) i couldnt beleive what a beauitful natural shiny golden color he gave me..something i always saw in magazines and wanted I now had BUT BETTER...I have the most perfect golden color it looks so natural& matched my skin tone so much better making me instantly tanner. I had a fabulous experience at The Roy Teeluck Salon. Everything was superb- the friendly receptionist, the coat check girl, shampoo girl, colorist, stylist and eyebrow shaper. First, I met with Duffy for an eyebrow shaping. It was my first shaping and she did a lovely job- beautiful shape, was very soft-handed and very friendly. She explained exactly what she had done and how to maintain the shape. Then, I met with Benoit- he was very professional and had a very happy, upbeat attitude. And my color came out gorgeous!!..he gave me the perfect shade of chocolate brown. Then, I met with Mie for a haircut- she was so friendly that I felt like I knew her for years! She cut my hair and blew it out perfectly. I just absolutely love, love, love my hair!! Thanks to the Roy Teeluck staff!! I can't wait for my next visit.

I have not found a more phenomenal hair colorist who seems to know exactly what I want before I say it. I've been loyal to Benoit for two years now and that's not without reason. For me, everywhere I've gone it's always been the case of having to specify exactly what to do and how to do it to get the look I'm after. With Benoit, I tell him to keep it glamour and have to say no more. The salon is spectacular; with a very hip atmosphere and with highly talented and friendly people, The Roy Teeluck Salon is an awesome experience. Anyone who goes there will love it and keep coming back.

I went to Roy Teeluck yesterday and had the time of my life! Everyone there is friendly, inviting, and professional. Tim Johnson gave me gorgeous, natural highlights and a beautiful cut. I felt like a princess, or more aptly, like what picasso's canvas must have felt like. These people are artists! He really listened to what I wanted done, and my highlights turned out better than Mother Nature could have done herself. The cut is perfect too! Tim is the master, and I highly recommend his services, as well as his company! I can't wait to go back.
In addition, Duffy did a wonderful job with my eyebrows (which is no easy feat) and made me feel so comfortable that I enjoyed every minute of it. Lan did a beautiful job with my nails, and gave me a hand massage in the process. She even picked out a beautiful color which was just what I was looking for. These folks are the best! Thank you Tim and Emily!!!

I have had my highlights done at many different places, salons, and beauty parlors, and this is the best. I have thick hair and often have to go back a second time for more highlights but not since I tried Roy Teeluck Salon. Definitely a pleasant experience in an environment which is both upscale and homey. The blowdry is also natural and not overstylized.

I came in with bad color, a bad cut and a bad attitude. Foto (cut) and Lana (color) gave me a new lease on life. Foto is an expert at long hair. When she finished with me I finally had the kind of layers and life I?d wanted ? and that was even though she was having to fix a terrible cut. Lana fixed my terrible color, and gave me bright blonde highlights with no brassiness. Go to these gals. You?ll never regret it.

I have been many different colors in my life...red, black, brunette with highlights....you name it, I've been it. I have been on a quest to safely get back to a great, flattering blonde. Michelle Fury did just that for me. A long ago trip to another high-end salon left my wallet very light and my hair very damaged. They took me from burgundy to super blonde in one session, not something I would reccomend for anyone. After that, I never thought I would be able to be blonde again. When I told all my woes to Michelle, she put me very much at ease. I have now see her twice, and I am so happy with the results. My hair is blonder, healthier, and all around fabulous. She didn't go too drastic at one time, and as a result, I am happier with the color and condition of my hair than I have been in a long time. Thank you Michelle, for making my curls more Sarah Jessica Parker and less of a mess!!!!

Oh I LOVE those manicures by Lan Tran. It was like a heavenly Dream. There is great Nail service and my nails have never been prettier and shine. And trust me. it was totally great! Nobody beets her any time and anywhere. No one can compete with her! I highly recomend her!

If you have had bad haircuts, and I have, you know the difference at the first snip. You have to make an appointment with Nathalie Herve to experience the very best cut period. I've been with her for 10 years.
Trying various salons with some fair cuts along the way. I have to say that my hair is difficult to cut because it's very curly. Most hairdressers are not comfortable with cutting my hair they find it overwhelming. The very first cut from Nathalie it was a dream come true. Of course she is a beauty, so much fun that you want the cutting experience to last for hours.

I have been *seeing* Nathalie for 7 years, now (as long as I have been with my husband!). Lover her, love her, lover her! She is french and fabulous! I have followed her around town to each salon she has relocated. I am absolutely devoted to her. As others have said, she is *meticulous*. The other day she spent an hour and fifteen minutes just cutting my hair (no use of a blowdryer--and don't expect one; Nathalie doesn't dry and you don't need it after she cuts your hair because your hair will dry beautifully with your new cut!).

Roy Teeluck or the Hermes of Haircutting. When I got a call from my artiste haircutter Natalie (and I do mean "artiste"), that she just joined a really sensational haircutting salon, I was a bit skeptical since the past endeavors of Natalie to find the perfect salon fit to her own style of artistic haircutting was rather mediocre, I was a bit curious to find out which lion's den she ended up with. I have been a client of Natalie for the past 7 years, and I have STAUNCHLY refused to let anybody touch my hair for fear of losing the Natalie touch. If my artiste is happy she does a fabulous unique job on me; as an artiste, if she is miserable, I dreaded her work on my hair. When I first entered the salon, I just knew this was the perfect fit a home for Natalie. From the haircolorist ( and I have NEVER in my 40 years colored my hair) to the coat check woman is utmost perfection, professionialism and esthetic.The Roy Teeluck Salon is not your commercial model T haircutting salon. When you go there, you are in for a treat and come out looking like a treat. My Hermes watch is a special touch to my worn out jeans. Honestly, there are many affluent salons in the city (and I have tried a few), BUT, until I found Andre & Benoit I thought FANTASTIC & FABULOUS cuts and color didn't exist under one roof. No offense to other stylists, but these guys certainly deserve their high praise. I always had dark hair, now my color is honey blonde...I still can't believe it...THE COMPLIMENTS KEEP COMING & I OWE IT TO THESE TWO GENIUSES!!!

No one should question Benoit's suggestion for color (if you are skeptical, he will not guide you wrong, he is a mastermind when it comes to color that compliments you). Before you start, he will discuss the steps of the color treatment to make you comfortable & during your process he will discuss tips for maintaining your color and even offer styling and care suggestions at the end.

Andre reminds me of Edward Scissorhands...once you sit at his station (overlooking the street below) you will not only get a haircut that is EYE CATCHING you will leave looking 100x better.

I HAVE NOTHING MORE TO ADD EXCEPT THIS IS A TRUE DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH (P.S. You should definately try the cappuccinos which are delicious).

I have been with Tim since he was at Lappin Paoli and he is fantastic. Especially if you give him a picture of what you want, he will make your hair look exactly as it does in the pic. He is truly gifted. Everytime I see Tim, I leave the salon looking and feeling like a hundred bucks... I am so happy to have found him at Roy Teeluck. The salon's location is perfect for those that work in midtown. The staff at the salon is very accomodating and efficient as well.

Nathalie has been my stylist for almost 5 years - she is the only one who can tame my thick wavy hair - and I love that her cuts do not need any fussing with to look great. While I would follow Nathalie anywhere, I'm glad she's at Roy Teeluck - the salon is very nice - very accomodating reception, friendly staff, convenient, and reasonable prices for cuts considering the neighborhood.

Andre has being doing my hair for years and never ceases to amaize me! He is always ahead of the trend! Andre's talent and advice has definatly played a major role in the maintenance of my carear as a model in the fashion industry.
From hair colouring advice to hair weaving to hair
cutting to hair styling. Is there anything this man does not know how to do? I think not!
And ladies, who doesn't like being told by both staff and fellow clients how great you are looking after a mere hair wash! Roy's Salon is a marvelously comfortable and relaxing experience...

I probably had one of my best haircutting experiences at Roy Teeluck Salon today. Having had a baby half a year ago, I came in feeling drabby, tired and ready for a change. My stylist Emily immediately picked up on what I wanted with my hair and created an amazing style and cut for me. I walked out feeling refreshed and really happy!

Everyone at the salon is nice as can be, with the excpetion of Roy. The desk staff is the nicest I have experienced, the colorists are great, Duffy is a doll as are many of the other stylist. Roy has a terrible attitude and there is no point in even having a discussion with him because in his book- the customer is always wrong. I also think it's a bit cheesy for him to take a tip as he is the owner of the salon and charges accordingly and if you book the last appointment he does not stay to see the end result of the haircut, so if you need an adjustment- to bad on you.
Use all the other folks and you'll have a great experience.

I have been going to Nathalie Herve for nine years now and I will NEVER go to anyone else. All of my friends know that I go where Nathalie goes. I have followed her everywhere and now I have moved with her to the Roy Teeluck Salon. While the salon is very nice, the best part about it now is that they have Nathalie as one of their top stylists!

I have had short hair for a long time and I trust no one else with it. Nathalie is the queen of precision and takes the time to shape my style to perfection. She is one of very few stylists who cuts hair dry. I always receive compliments on my haircut, even when it is six to eight weeks old. She cuts it in a way that it takes me two minutes in the morning to style.

Roy Teeluck is very lucky to have Nathalie! Not only is she a perfectionist when it comes to hair, she is also very kind and outgoing. All of her clients end up developing great friendships with her, which speaks to her bubbly personality. Nathalie is very dedicated and considerate to her clients, always informing us of any future trips or vacations so that we may schedule our appointments accordingly.

If you are dissatisfied with your stylist or want a new look, go see Nathalie! I promise you'll never end up going to another stylist again...

Benoit is a true artist. Andre is a terrific hair cutter. Together they created the best look I've ever had! Both of them are very nice to boot -- as is everyone at the salon.

I am normally very loyal to my usual hairdresser. However, after hearing about Roy Teeluck and meeting one of its fabulous owners (Roland), I decided to take a chance on a new hairstylist... and I'm so glad that I did! Natalie was great. She was experienced and passionate about her work, and she really listened to my expectations. I remember her saying that if the cut is really good, then I shouldn't have to spend time styling it... and she was right! I'm glad I decided to switch salons. The entire staff was friendly and the vibe is lively. I definitely recommend them to people with all types of hairstyles. Thanks Roland!!!

After a couple of years of trying various salons around 57th street , I decided to give Roy Teeluck salon a try due to the great reviews. I called and spoke with Benoit and explained that my hair was a mess and I really needed someone who had patience and great talent! His telephone manner was superb. He instantly made me feel like he could help me in spite of what I had done to my hair. He is very talented with his "color shaker ,painting board and tint brush". You can tell he knows what he is doing, he is very businesslike and he listens. He also took the time to explain and discuss hair problems and solutions. He gave me a very chic and edgy color, highlights and I loved it. I will absolutely return. bravo ROY TEELUCK!

Normally I would not have chosen this salon - but because the best haircutter in the world Nathalie Herve,has landed with this salon I have become a happy regular. It all started years ago when I choose another salon and little did I know this wonderful person and hairdresser worked there and would become a part of my life. Not only is she is the best hair person I have ever had the pleasure to work with, she happens to be one of the most delightful people I have ever welcomed into my life!! She is a perfectionist and a true artist - and being left-handed as well just adds icing to this already delicious mix!
I will always go where Nathalie goes, but I hope she remains here for years to come because the salon is truly a lovely, clean and friendly place to visit. Thank you Roy Teeluck for your vision of bringing this gem of a woman to your wonderful salon. I truly cannot say enough about Nathalie - thank you.

Nathalie has been cutting my hair for years--I would trust no one else. She truly knows how to craft the cut for any type of hair. I would recommend her to anyone--but especially for those with curly or wavy hair. The salon itself is very relaxed while maintaining great services. Friendly staff--you really get taken care of. Duffy does great brows, too.
