We used Leonetti's for our wedding on 11/6/09 and were extremely happy with our cake. Everyone loved the look and the tast of it. It was exactly how I wanted it. They were a pleasure to work with! The price was reasonable for a wedding cake. I would highly recommend them esp. if you are getting married at the Swan Club.

When opened, I delighted at a box of cookies a friend brought. Seeing the contents which were immediately recognizable as not the standard same butter-less dough for every cookie with shapes and toppings as the only distinction, I immediately asked," Butter Cookie Bakery?"
"No, Leonetti's the new one in Greenvale I was telling you about."
They are fantastic and I'm glad to know of another shop that actually uses a butter recipe, however, the cookies do have a strong refrigerator taste that ruins a perfect thing. If they're being stored that way, please put in a box of baking soda or if it's the butter itself check the supplier.
I want Leonetti's to do well as there is a surprising dirge of good bakeries in Nassau. Otherwise I'd have to stick with Butter Cookie or Diane's for cookies. I'm one of those people who will travel miles for a good bakery: make it worth it and I'll come otherwise I'll make my own.

I have been buying the bread and pastrys at Leonetti since they opened their delicious doors! When it came time to throw my husband a suprise 40th birthday party I knew I had to get the cake at Leonetti's! The baker there named Saverio is one of the most helpful people you can ever meet..I looked through a book of all his cakes and was very impressed with everything I saw. I finally picked out the perfect cake and I was so excited to taste the real thing..when the cake arrived at the venue I was so happy!! It was beautiful and I couldnt wait to dig in! My husband and I love all their stuff so I knew he was going to be really happy when he saw it..we finally got to eat it and everyone was raving about the cake..there was some leftover and my husband said "whatever you do, DO NOT give any of this away, its coming home for later!!" Thanks Leonetti! And keep up the great baking :)

I had my baby shower on September 7th at La Parma. My mother had ordered a cake from Leonetti Pastry Shop for my special event. The cake was outstanding and almost looked fake!!! It was absolutely beautiful and looked as if a lot of time and effort was put into it. Everyone at the shower was disappointed that we had to actually cut the cake up to eat it....but when we all tasted it, we didnt mind as much. It was out of this world!!!! I have been to this bakery for their exquisite gelato numerous times, but now I know where to get a gorgeous AND delicious cake for any event. Thank You Leonetti's!!!

I was married on Sept 12, 2008 I was advised to go to Leonetti Pastry Shop for my wedding cake due to their plethora of choices and exquisite tasting sweets.I met with the owner Saverio Leonetti whom was the sweetest, most patient man considering I'm a very picky and fussy individual, and being this was my wedding cake i was very nervous. He made me feel very comfortable and confident that my cake would be beautiful. I got to look through a few books for cake ideas, all were very beautiful. I chose a beautiful fall design for my cake. Make a long story short when i saw the cake i was pleased to say the least, it was perfect!! Everyone at my wedding raved about how good it tasted. I recommend this bakery to everyone if not for your most special events then just stop in and have a taste, you will be amazed!

For my wedding at the Swan Club on August 30, 2008 I used Leonetti Bakery for my wedding cake upon the Swan's Club recommendation and I must say that I was extremely disappointed in the service and product they provided. I was charge $650 dollars for a decorated floral cake (which the design was picked out from their booklet) , with red velvet as the base of the cake with a fondant layer and cream cheese filling. When I saw the cake at my wedding I was shocked and appalled at the appearance of the cake since it looked nothing like the picture from THEIR booklet and above all the cake was yellow and it was suppose to be white and the decoration of the cake looked extremely amateur. When me and my husband cut into the cake the bakery had given us a chocolate base cake with a marshmallow filling, which tasted horrible. When I called the wedding baker the next day to find out what happened he explained to me that he has other people make the cake and they couldn't make the red velvet for me so they decided to give me chocolate instead and that I should get over it. This bakery was extremely unprofessional and unapologetic for their error. They never once called me to tell me that they couldn't make the cake and made their own decision to give me whatever cake they wanted. After showing up to the bakery I was able to get half of my money back. This bakery felt like they could give us something completly different from what we ordered, never called us to tell us they cant make red velvet which didnt give us the chance to decide if we wanted to go ahead with the order and they showed us a booklet of other wedding cakes they claimed they had did in the past and when I picked one of their designs the final result was completly different and amateur from what they said they would do.

I was married in March 2007 and chose Leonetti Pastry Shop to make my wedding cake. I met with the owner/baker a couple of times before I decided, and made sure to try almost everything inside the store. {He actually competed on the Food Network and won something too!} Well, I loved everything in the store and my cake was beautiful and delicious. The only thing that was upsetting was that the cake topper was placed incorrectly on the cake and looked really dumb. I was unable to take pictures of the cake that looked good gorgeous otherwise. I tried to place the topper on correctly and made a hole in my cake! The good thing was that everything tasted good, but after all the planning that goes into a wedding something that seems as trivial as this was a bit upsetting. I would still recommend them. Just be sure to be specific about every single detail so there is no room for error.

I have to bring a friend of mine 2 dozen cannolis from here every time we travel to see him. The pastries are out of this world. I have tried a few and everything is to die for and delicious. The sorbet is good too - they have summertime specials where they freeze the sorbet in scooped out fruit - delicious!

We started getting cakes here as well - they are that good and worth a drive. Getting here can be a bit of a problem as they are close to one of the worst intersections in Nassau County, but if you can swing by the place is worth it.

Bagels and coffee are available as well. In short, I've found nothing disappointing here.

PROS: best bakery I've found in a long time
CONS: getting there
