4 Stars: Bauman Rare Books is a worth a visit (by Amber M.)

A great place to visit. Bauman Rare Books is one of the best places to view what many only dream of seeing. A finished 19th Century private library. Wonderful leather bindings with gold tooling and beautiful design work. If you are a fan of books, or have a library needing to be appraised this is the place to check out. Many of the books are very expensive so be prepared.

Histroy jumps off the shelves here with wonderfully signed material along with the books themselves.

PROS: great material
CONS: very expensive

5 Stars: Bauman Rare Books (by Vincent P.)

At Bauman Rare Books they carry the heavys of the book world. First prints with the dust jackets intact for thousands of dollars. Signed copies of books and other autographed material. They are very knowledgeable about the book scene. They are also strong buyers of expensive good quality items so if you come up with a real find give them a call.

4 Stars: Bauman Rare Books (by Gerald P.)

Bauman Rare Books is a beautifully laid out store. It was designed to create the appearance of a private library and the design suceeds. They have a great assortment of first editions, autographs and rare books. The prices seem a little steep especially for the autographs but then again you are getting a guarantee that you wont find in venues like eBay. They're all here from Hemingway, Dickens and Whitman. A nice place to drop by and see some heavyweight books.

PROS: Tremendous Selection
CONS: A little pricey
