My hairdresser, Vicki, is the best hairdresser I have ever had. She understands my exact wishes about the style of the cut, and she also understands my hair, its character and condition. Every time I come out of there smiling and with lightness in my chest! I highly recommend Vicki, she'll make your hair dance.

the best from Forest Hills and there are so many... i lived before in the city and, from all the salons i used, this is still the best. the atmosphere is great and Michelle is the best i have ever had. very sensitive and gentle people. Prices are higher than the rest of Forest Hills but well deserved. it's what it should mean spa: fun and job well done.

I've been going to Micciche since my stylist, Josephine, moved there from Spectrym. She has been cutting my and my mom's hair for over a decade, and I couldn't be happier. She always gives me great suggestions on how to make what I want even better. I've never had a problem with the price as many other reviewers have complained about, but I think that is due to the fact that I have a good relationship with my stylist, and she always makes sure to tell her clients when her rates are going up. I've never used any of the other services offered at the salon, but everyone I know who has gone to the salon has been happy with their results!

Outstanding cuts. I live in Soho and the 20 minute trip is worth the hot cut and shot in the arm you'll get at Micciche's.

I have been going to Micciche for the past 9 years and have had mostly positive experiences there. Typically, my color has been amazing, I get lots of compliments, however, like most salons, you need to get a recommendation on who you should go to before making an appointment and yes, the receptionist at the front desk is not always helpful (welcome to a full service salon in NYC) while it's unacceptable, it's also something I've just come to accept. In addition to some GREAT colorist (maria being one of them) and some amazing stylists (After 9 years, I now go to Lorenzo and really like his work) there is also a wonderful woman named Ella who gives wonderful facials and an amazing brazilian wax. While I understand some of the complaints (with the exception of the person who was charged the incorrect amount...what happened when you called them about this?) Micciche is an excellent salon and a wonderful asset to Forest Hills.

Horrible place! A real amateur show. I had two nightmare color experiences there in a row and will never return. I was golden blonde with blonde highlights when I walked in requesting a simple root touch up, and they gave me the wrong color, and because they were overbooked, left it on for 20 minutes too long after a "comb through." After the washing, when the towel came off, I was shocked to discover that my hair was dark brunette, and the color looked dense and matte, like I'd done it myself from a box. They tried to "lift" it, after not being able to convince me how great it looked, but it was so dark the lift just didn't work. All the other customers looked shocked, and sympathetic. I came home shaking, and my husband laughed! It was a disaster. The next day, I returned when they opened, and they told me that if they tried to lift it again, it would damage my hair, so they suggested blonde highlights, "free of charge." Well, now it looks a tiny bit better, but my hair looks like it has like tiger stripes, the contrast is so strong. A real tootsie mall do. They told me, get this, not to worry, since it would eventually grow out!

I have been coming to Micciche for three years now and have always been treated with respect when I call. Yesterday I called to schedule an appointment with Patti and was told she was gone, Annette the receptionist did not even offer me an alternative for who was taking over for Patti. I also needed an appointment with Robert for color but was so frustrated that I hung up. I called again first thing this morning and Annette answered the phone it was 9:30 a.m., she said they were not open and I was to call back at 10 a.m., she said she didn't even have to answer the phone and could have let it go answer machine. I work in the customer service industry/cosmetic surgery field and if I ever spoke to a client with such a tone I would not have a job. Lorenzo you need to address this situation, no customer should be treated with such disrespect.

I recently moved from Chicago to Rego Park and wanted to find a good place to have my hair done. I first went to Spectrym and was not happy with the haircut I received. Then I tried Micciche last weekend and wish I would have gone there from the get go. From calling to make my appointment to the whole cutting and coloring experience, everyone was professional, friendly and made me feel valued as a customer. Lisa did my color and partial highlights and it was beautiful. It really complemented the cut I got by Lorenzo. Lorenzo did a fabulous job and really insured that my cut was perfect. I hated to wash it because it looked that good. I have finally found my new hair salon and would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone looking for really high-quality, attention to detail hair service. My daughter was so impressed with the highlights that I received, she has an appointment for her highlights this weekend. It's a gem in Forest Hills.

I've been getting my hair done here for 2 years, since I moved to Forest Hills from the city. It's not cheap, but nowhere near the prices I paid in the city. And, Micciche's is sooo much more personable. I get compliments on my hair constantly. I work in the fashion industry so my appearance speaks volumes. I love the staff here and wouldn't go anywhere else.

I been going there on and off since I moved to Forest Hills and just seemed convenient. They do great color and blow outs, but can't seem to remain with the same price! That is how they rip you off!

Such a shame - you are better off finding someone just as good that will be more reasonable with their prices.

I like their work, but they quote one price, and charge something else. The first time they quoted me $25-30 for a wash and blow dry, then billed my credit card $45. The second time, they quoted me $60 for a wash, cut and dry, then billed me $75. Their work is good, but not good enough for me to overlook that twice. I won't go back there.

I've been going to this salon for about 12 years now . It's a great place. If your looking for a perfect cut and style just go here. I always walk out of there looking great. It's in forest hills so expect to pay a bit more but, the people, the treatment
are outstanding. I would highly recommend this salon.

PROS: Superb , I'm sure you'll be very satisfied

After Desiree left the service seems to have changed. When you call to schedule an appt the receptionist is rude if you ask for her. They don't ask if you'd like to see someone else, so their business sense is certainly lacking. Their prices are very high for the area. I will go elsewhere from now on. My entire family were clients of hers for many years, so I'm sorry to have to change, but if I'm not treated nicely I see no reason to return.

I've being seeing Ella for waxing for 2 years now and she is fabulous. And I have had many bad wax experiences! Ella is the best! I had my haircut by Bryan and it looks better than when I got it cut by a really expensive stylist in NoHo. And he did an awesome blow-out.
