The NYREI has everything that is needed for an individual who is deciding to make a successful career change into the real estate industry.
NYREI's caliber of education is top notch! It is refreshing to sit in a classroom with professors who are so engaging and interactive, that they make the learning experience fun and exciting for everyone.
Education is the just the first step in the NYREI process. They offer daily recruiting sessions, where top brokers who are looking to hire, come in and talk to the students about their firm and the type of agents they are looking for. NYREI also has a robust interactive and VERY informative website 'NYREJOBS' which includes very detailed profiles of each brokerage in the 5 boroughs. Their Job Placement website allows for you to apply to each firm directly from the site. Brilliant! They also have onsite representatives who are highly industry experienced and knowledgeable that are always around to assist and advise you. For someone who has no clear path on what to do, NYREI surely paves a clear path for you to follow. Unbelievable.
Furthermore.. NYREI offers extracurricular workshops such as Social Media Training, NLP Training courses and Residential & Commercial Leasing & Sales Training Workshops on how to actually do these types of transactions once you get out on the streets! These training workshops will show you how to conduct yourself, fully understand your clients needs, how to get leads and where to advertise, how to qualify and handle the leads in the most professional and appropriate manner, along with showing you to use all of the tools and processes that you will need to learn to be the most efficient and skilled agent!

NYREI delivered what they promised. The staff was very nice and helpful. The teachers focused on the important things to help me pass the school and state test.
There would be presentations from different RE companies everyday in between classes that helped me to get an overview of the multiple firms working in that field.
Even after finshing the 75 class, Mike Englander from NYREI has been always there to give me advice and support. Over all I am very happy with my decision to choose NYREI and can recommend it to everyone who wants to get into real estate.
Only school that gets you to past the test the first time and get you a job either through daily recruiting or www.nyrejobs.com. Best decision I ever made.
There is no school that even comes in a close second to Nyrei. The instructors Stephen, jim, john, nancy etc are the best. The daily recruiting sessions made it so easy to get a job. So happy I did not try and save a few bucks going someplace else. Would of been a waste of money. So happy that got a job so easily
Quality 3 / 3
NYREI is the GOLD Standard of Real Estate schools. All of the teachers are Licensed real estate salespeople or brokers. All have many years of experience. The classes are convenient and offered at different locations. They made taking the exam easy and simple. I was able to pass the first time. With out question its the go to for real estate schools.
No other school in NY compares. Even the trumps who could go anywhere choose Nyrei. Enough said
What can I say about NYREI.... simply WONDERFUL!!!!.\r
They offer classroom and online courses, however I STRONGLY advise taking all of your courses in the classroom for a myriad of reasons, which I'll get to later. \r
There are also a number of campuses to choose from Manhattan, Queens, Long Island, and Westchester.\r
You can purchase all of the courses you need for your license as a package deal for a discount ( from $395-$540.) which I also STRONGLY recommend! \r
There are career counselors available to speak with on campus who are very knowledgeable and friendly. They offer morning, evening, and weekend classes, all of which I have attended for assorted courses. BY FAR, the best time campus to sign up for is in Long Island.\r
The reason I advise taking on-campus classes are as follows:\r
1) The instructors are very knowledgeable and all of the ones I've had are currently working in the industry as brokers, experienced agents, etc and in addition to teaching the coursework offer EXTREMELY valuable advice based on their personal experiences. \r
That being said, you're going to get the most out of your time and money attending campus classes because you get a lot of exposure to the industry AND get a head start on finding a company that you can work for.\r
As far as Saturday classes are concerned, I would have to say that the instructors make if fun and time seems to fly by...\r
The class atmosphere is very relaxed, much like a regular college class. Coffee was usually provided daily by the school and students are permitted to bring food and drinks into the classroom. \r
I've yet to have any complaint about any of my instructor Bill ( Who litterally wrote the Book). He is a great teacher on their subjects and have been able to thoroughly explain any questions asked of him. \r
Like I said earlier, all of the teachers are extremely experienced and most have literally been in real estate for decades. The things I've learned from the instructors here I consider to be invaluable and something I definitely would NOT have gotten had I taken the courses online.\r
Another nice thing about New York Real Estate Institute is that the price of the textbook additional $40. For those with an urge to get ahead, you can pick up your book from campus as soon as your class is paid for. This is something I did for all of my classes and having read the course information ahead of time was a tremendous help.\r
Basically -- IF YOU READ THE THROUGH AND STUDY THE TEXTBOOK, YOU WILL ACE THE EXAM. The textbook is sectioned off well and are easy to read and understand. Absorb as much as the class information is possible, because even after you pass the class you'll still need to retain the information for your State exam! \r
In summary, NYREI is a fantastic place for real estate education and you definitely get a lot of educational bang for your buck!
I want to thank you for conducting a very worthwhile, informative seminar on Real Estate Investing. The students were very enthusiastic during the lectures. I know that some students took the course for Real Estate licensing continuing education requirements I took the course to learn something new. I think that everyone was able to take away something from the course. I know that I learned a lot from you. After attending your classes, you have exposed me to a world that I did not know much about. You have inspired me to attempt to market myself and services in other areas of real estate.
Thank You again, keep up the good work!
I wanted to thank you for making this course fun and informative. I am usually the one falling asleep at the desk during night classes, but you were able to keep me engaged and focused. I especially liked the fact that you (and your guest speakers) used lots of humor to get certain points across- humor enhances your memory. Also, thanks for the mini accounting course this was helpful as I am currently taking ""Accounting For Managers"" as part of my MBA. It's funny how you made it all so simple! I will keep in touch and will let you know how this thing turns out.
Thank you for a wonderful experience in my first ""Property Management Class"". The class exceeded my expectations by far. Continue the great job you are doing. Thank you in advance for your assistance and many more blessings.
Amazing school. The teachers are great and the courses are very complete. Highly recommended!
NYREI was a fantastic learning experience. All the teachers are engaging, and they go the extra distance to not only educate you but get you in the door with brokerage firms.
Recently, I decided to switch my career from Banking to Real estate. I Googled real estate schools and instantly came across New York Real Estate Institute. I was pleased with its website for its user-friendly navigation and I noticed two pictures of Donald Trumps kids, Ivanka and Donald Jr, on the front page, which of course sparked my interest even more. I made a decision to sign up with the school to get me prepared for my real estate sales exam.
The minute I opened the door the place looked like a social security office, just much dirtier. When I entered the classroom (classroom B) I was in shock. There must have been 50-80 chairs crumped up in a small room which really should hold no more than 30. There were so many chairs placed so tightly next to one another that it made it impossible to cross the room sideways, just forward to back. I am very slim and even so it took me a lot of effort to get from the first row to the fifth row. To make matters worse I couldnt even find a table that didnt have a gum stuck to it or some crumbs or a coffee stain. Mind you this class started at 9am, meaning that the room probably wasnt clean the day before. I ended up putting a newspaper that I happened to have on me on the desk as a cover.
I sat at the desk and patiently waited for the teacher to show up. She finally showed up at 9:30 (in her defense, she apologized and mentioned that she didnt feel well and that the school couldnt find a replacement). When the class finally began the teacher took the textbook and started reading it and she continued to read it until the break, which was at 11am. I couldnt wait to get out. I took my belongings and proceeded to the main office. I asked to be switched to an on-line course. The woman who was working in the office asked me whats the reason I told her that this type of environment is just not conducive for learning. To my big surprise she didnt even reply but simply proceeded to switch me to an on-line class. And that was my experience with NYREI.
I am willing to give them a benefit of a doubt. Maybe something happened to the cleaning services the night before, and maybe too many chairs were brought up to accommodate the larger population of all unemployed people of NYC who decided to try their luck at real estate sales. Maybe the teacher was reading the textbook because she didnt feel well and couldnt remember the material by heart. I really hope this experience doesnt represent the world of real estate in NYC but first impressions are very important.
This place signs up wide-eyed, naive real estate agent wannabes by the thousands. Most are totally unqualified for the huge task of building a network of clients in a city like New York. Yet, NYREI gladly takes their money and crams them into tiny (fire hazard filled) classrooms (while at the same time filling their heads with promises of making ""big bucks."") During class breaks, they parade in slick recruiters from the local sweatshop rental agencies who spout even more outrageous claims. The fact is, there are more than 25,000 licensed agents in New York City for about 10,000 sales listings. After taxes, expenses, and broker splits, most of these new agents will never see a dime. In fact, most will go their whole career without ever scoring even ONE exclusive. For every Dolly Lenz, John Berger, and Rapheal Dinero there are literally thousands who fail. To succeed in New York City real estate, you have to have MAJOR contacts and a sophisticated understanding of business, marketing, property development, architecture, and design. You have to be a player on the social scene and have media saavy. And, you need major capital available to invest so that you can aggressively market and promote yourself. Many of the people this ""school"" lures in have no education beyond high school (some don't even speak English). They have few job prospects in this economy and therefore are particularly vulnerable to scams such as the ones found at NYREI. The Attorney General and Department of State really need to take a closer look.
Wonderful teachers with a great sense of humor. The book is also clear and easy to read.
The schedule is great. Teachers are helpful. Highly recommend the crammer review book for studying. Job placement assistance is great!
Pros: very flexible class schedule, laid back environment
Cons: the textbook is very detailed, school test is hard
I love the fact that NYREI offers classes seven days a week. It's super convenient for me to attend classes after work and even on the weekends. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the content is easy to understand, what a relief!
Reasonable prices, and a convenient location!
Pros: Flexible Schedule, knowledgeable Staff
After researching other schools I found that NYREI was the most convenient and flexible and I was able to make my own schedule. The classes were taught by very knowledgable teachers. Concerned with finding a job it was a relief that everyday different brokers came in and I was able to talk with them. The school was great and everyone that works there was knowlegable and helpful.
I work part time and was able to arrange my schedule so that I could do classes on weekends and 2 days a week. It was so convenient and the classes were so informative.\r
I finished at the school and had a job lined up right away.
I attended REI while working full time and it was really easy to find a class to fit my schedule. I was able to network at classes and passed my exam. Overall the courses were informative and many times to choose from. Anyone contemplating getting their real estate license should look into this.
Pros: class schedule, price, prepartion for exam
After much research on which school would provide me with the most in depth and thorough Real Estate education I decided to attend The New York Real Estate Institute. I could not have been more pleased with the outcome of my choice. The level of professionalism and the convenience of the schedule made this school far superior to any other I could have possibly chosen. It was also great that brokers came in every day and recruited so by the time I left I had a broker that was sponsoring me and a job lined up! I loved this school and would highly recommend it.
Pros: Brokers coming in to recruit every day- and brought lunch for all the students!
The only place to get your real estate license! Facility is bright and comfortable, teachers are top-notch and they make it simple and easy to start your career. I highly recommend this school. School is always busy and it was a great place to meet other people in my field. The school has all the required classes and is open 7 days a week so it fits easily into your busy schedule.
Pros: Facility is beautiful and teachers are fantastic!
