I WAS LIED TO AND MY PET'S LIFE IS NOW MORE LIKELY TO END EARLY WITH AN UNTREATABLE CANCER!
DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE! PLEASE! LEARN FROM MY EXPERIENCE AND PROTECT YOUR PET! THEY LIED TO ME ABOUT A TOXIC CANCER CAUSING INGREDIENT USED IN THEIR IN THEIR VACCINES!

As an animal lover, I did my research to make sure my cat would receive the best care and found that adjuvanted vaccines greatly increase the chances of forming cancerous tumor at the injection site. Dr. Perez guaranteed me his vaccine did not have this cancer forming additive.

After getting home, I researched the specific vaccine he had used and it did contain the dangerous adjuvant.

I contacted several highly regarded vets to see if this was not a big deal and if they would use this vaccine. None of them do because there are alternative safer vaccines available. Which is what I was assured what my cat was getting.

Now it is too late for my cat. Because of Dr. Perez's dishonesty, my cat has this dangerous and unnecessary toxin that will increase the chance of getting a very fast moving and difficult to treat CANCER that can spring up an anytime. Now I will spend the rest of my life with her constantly having the check the site for a tumor, knowing that because it is such an aggressive sarcoma they only chance of possibly saving her life when she gets it, is to catch it early and then amputate the limb with the tumor. THIS WAS NOT SOMETHING I HAD TO WORRY ABOUT BEFORE I BROUGHT MY CAT HERE!

I trusted him. It was a BIG mistake. Please protect your pet and take them somewhere else.

I just took my animal there for care, I have to follow up with this doctor and after reading all the horror stories I am confuse. All my animals been there before and I had no problems...to be continue because he is at the present moment in care of one of my animals that is sick and I am watching him (the vet) closely how he works as a vet. If anything happens to my animal defetnetly I would have a law suit against this vet. I wonder if all the horror stories people sued the vet. to be continue...............

i took my cat to this updated version of Dr. mengele, due to her constant vomiting.I wasnt in the place no more than 15 mins. where i was told she had to go through a series of tests and blood works.I explained that all i wanted to find out was if she had any strings in her stomach.she likes eating strings. He told me all of these tests were necessary.he checked her by touching her tummy and said she did not have any strings inside[i could have done that myself].I was told to pick her up in a few hours. when i did so,they gave me back my cat which looked like someone had replaced her eyes with two marbles.they were also protruding from her face. They said she had to be sedated. FOR WHAT??!!!Anyway, the bill came out to be close to 600.00!!the bill had unecessary procedures on it.I took her to another vet who said i was overcharged. My daughter called them and requested a copy of her records and they said they would fax them to the new vet but that was a few weeks ago. MY CAT SLEPT FOR 3 DAYS WITH ONLY WATER INSIDE HER. I can imagine the suffering she must have gone thru.I will not take this lying down.Anyone who reads this, spread the word!!! IF YOU LOVE YOUR ANIMAL, DONT TAKE IT TO THIS BUTCHER!!!!!! If anyone knows how to go about reporting him to the humane society please do so. the lives of many innocent animals depend on it. Thank You for your attention.

Pros: its a concentration camp in disguise!!!

Cons: all animals that go in get gassed and half die.

I brought my pet to be spayed at Dr. Perez's clinic. When I went to pick him up, he seemed woozy, which I expected was normal. I noticed loose skin flaps at the wound site and he assured me that was normal. I asked Dr. Perez about after-care, as this was my first pet. He gave me instructions on when to feed my pet, but nothing further.

Dr. Perez's office was closed the next day when I noticed my pet was bleeding excessively and frantically rubbing his wound site against walls and furniture. I immediately brought him to another vet. That vet expressed concern about the atypical procedure -- one large diagonal incision instead of tiny side-by-side incisions, as is the apparent standard. The vet also noted that my pet should have been provided with a neck shield, especially with a large wound site. By then, my pet had excessively licked and chewed at the wound site (during the night, unknown to me). My pet had to be admitted to ER at Animal Medical Center. The vets there performed emergency surgery to clean up the wound site. I had to pay close to $1500 in medical bills. The vet at AMC also expressed concern about the size of the incision and lack of neck shield (given the size of the wound).

Later, when I informed Dr. Perez about my pet's critical situation, he denied any responsibility for performing an 'atypical procedure' (to quote another vet), lack of foresight in providing a neck shield, and failure to explain proper after-care procedure when requested. Instead, he blamed my pet's breed and stated they are known for 'excessively cleaning' themselves.

This experience was very traumatizing for both my pet and myself, and could have been easily avoided. I would not recommend this vet.

I dropped my puppy off to be spayed today. I recieved a call two hours that she had died from the procedure. She was a healthy 7 month old mini english bulldog. I do not belive that this vet knows what he is doing and I would not reccomend going here. They offered no help to us whatsoever except to say that they would have her cremated for us. DO NOT GO HERE

My golden had a very bad stomach. They got me in asap and took great care of him. Dr. Perez seems like a very nice guy and the receptionist was also a sweetie and very helpful. Unlike Battery Park City vets where I used to go, it seems like we can get in on short notice very easily and the rates are more reasonable. The facility is a little older but that's a pretty minor concern if your animal is getting good treatment.

I took my puppy there because she all of a sudden couldn't stand on one of her legs. Needless to say that I was extremely worried. I decided to take her to the closest vet and picked the Westside Animal Hospital. She was extremely nervous and couldn't really stand still. Dr. perez looked at her and told me that because she was too agitated he couldn't really feel anything and that she needed to be out for him to tell me what was wrong with her. I never heard of any vet that needs to have a pet completely out for him to perform a regular check up!! I will never go back there.

When i first walked into the Westside animal hospital. I felt a littletense there was many things going on in the clinic. Of course things happen to animals and all the doctor can do is help. My dogs are always a handful, that not going to stop Dr.Perez from helping my dog in need! Suffering of loose stools for about three day I decided i had to do something and I did. I called the nearest vet. Dr.Perez I explained to him the problem and he did not ask for and stool sample the reason for that was ir you dont explain to precisely whats going on if will go by what he thinks the problem is and approach it conservatively, rather then just jumping in too conclusion and medicating my dog with every antibiotic there is out there. I have to say moving to that neighborhood was a great thing! Dr.Perez and his staff are ALL great! Please do not walk in there with an attitude problem, and you wont leave with a problem. they are really helpful there cery caring and loving towards the animal!

Dr. Perez refused to test stool samples of my kittens because he claimed they were "too loose," which was the very reason why I was bringing the samples in to be tested. After consulting with my family's vet, I found out that my kittens had been suffering from roundworm for at least two weeks and Dr. Perez was completely incorrect in his reasoning not to test the samples (in fact, I was told that it is best to test stool samples when they are loose).

On top of this, when I called to request copies of my kittens' records and cancel two appointments that I had previously made, there was no attempt by the receptionist to find out why I was taking these actions. It was as if they didn't care that they were losing a customer.

And for the icing on the cake, I just discovered that three other animals (two cats and a dog) that were recently in contact with my two kittens now have roundworm as well.

We recently brought our long-haired cat in to get groomed since it is now the summer time and getting warmer. When we got him back, we noticed that his whiskers were cut to about an inch long. When I confronted the vet and his staff, the only thing they could tell us was that they have someone come in on Mondays to groom the animals and that they did not see the animal before it left. I was looking for a reason, possibly even sympathy and for them to recognize an error in their service. But all they repeated was that they did not see what the cat looked like before it left. As if to say that we were lying and cut the whiskers. My understanding is that cats need their whiskers to help judge the sizes and spaces around them. By cutting them down, he is completely disoriented.

The Westside Animal Hospital is an inexpensive veternarian hospital that gives great care to your animals. I brought my dogs and cats there after moving here from New Orleans and they gave my cats and dogs great care with a low price. Dr.Perez realized that my dog need care haveing a high fever and no vaccines what so ever and he held back the shots to take good care of his fever. The great thing about it was after bring to him five pets in one day he gave me discounts for each pet. His staff is so helpful over the phone and in person. Just ask a question and they give to replies with no problem. My recommendation is drop on by to the WESTSIDE ANIMAL HOSPITAL IF YOU ARE SEARCHING FOR GREAT CARE AND LOW COST!!!!!!

Just moved into the city and my cats needed teeth cleaning. Westside Animal Hospital is the best value in Manhatten. The staff was very patient with me. I am a psycho cat person and they were very understanding. Dr. Perez was kind and gentle with my cats. Not so much with me but that is not important. He was good with the cats.
