I have been shopping for my nephews here for 5 years. I can say that the staff is very helpful. All you have to do is hang around a bit and listen to the advice they give to realize that they know their stuff. I was there before Christmas 2 years ago, and the owner was talking about how she had gone to a toy fair expo and the hottest game there was a laser/mirror thing called Kelt or something. Anyway, it was suggested for 8+ years. I bought it and saved it for my older nephew, and gave it to him for his 7th birthday. He could only tell us how cool we were that we bought such a neat game--and didn't give him clothes. LOL. But, seriously, you couldn't find that game at Toys r Us, at least I never saw it there.
I bought an iplay CD player for my 3-year old nephew for this Christmas, and he uses it all the time.
It's a small store in a quaint village. I like to shop in Northport and it's not as zooey as the mall.
Visit the store, if for no other reason than to remember when you used to spend all afternoon drooling over toys and making lists for Christmas! You'll have a great time, and might learn something about the super German-made puzzles in the back room.

I have been a loyal customer to Einstein's attic for several years now. I started shopping there shortly after I moved to Centerport in 99. At the time my son was two and I was pregnant with my daughter. The store, which once was quite small, and now is very large has always kept mine and my children's attention and enthusiasm. For whatever the age group there is always a large selection. Every time I go in I know I can count on a new selection of toys we've never seen before, our old favorites for birthday gifts, and an attentive and friendly staff to help us make up our mind. For a small local store, their prices are very competitive with the larger chains.

I went into this store for my niece's birthday. I was hoping to find something unique for her. Unfortunately, I was somewhat disappointed in them. I found them to have a very small selection of toys and they were really geared towards older children (above age 5). I also found their prices to be quite high. I also did not think they had toys that were all that unique. I could've gone into any chain store and bought most of the items they had and for a cheaper price! The staff was none too friendly either. I recieved no greeting when I entered the store nor was I asked if I needed assistance. Save yourself some time and just go to your local toy store!

This store has the greatest selection of toys. Their selection is mostly very educational toys. The staff was very helpful and knowledgable. However, I did find them to be very pricey. If their prices were more reasonable I would've added a star.

This store is an old fashioned small town toy store. This store has very unual toys and the hareder to find good quality toys for your children. Very educational and science based toys. Staff are very helpful and know the products they sell.
Very enjoyable for kids and adults alike.

Einstein's Attic is a great toy shop in Northport village. They have so many wonderful toys - science, natural, books, etc. - that it's just fun to walk around and browse. I've gotten many unique gifts here and am always happy to go back again.
