The owner Rick is mad, unfriendly and has difficulty just being nice. But this isn't the first time I've experienced his rudeness or his staffs. I decided to give them a second chance and ordered two bikes. He was so unbelievable difficult

Reading the reviews here I'd figure I'd give my two cents on why some are one star and some are four and five stars. It all depends on who you get to help you out. Most of the staff is very helpful and happy to do so, with one guy taking almost two hours of his time to help me sort through stuff for only a 40 dollar purchase. However, there are a few staff members that, for some unknown reason, have a huge chip on their shoulder and take it out on the customers. So don't judge a quality shop by a few bad apples. Lastly, yea its expensive but that's because its a high end bike store and it is in the Hamptons where the entire area doesn't know the meaning of discounts.

I love Rotations-it's the best! Everyone there is extremely knowledgeable and very nice to work with. They went out of their way to get me the bike I wanted. The first time i called the shop it was 15 mins after the store was closed and the gentleman spent 20 mins on the phone with me answering my questions and giving me websites to look at to research my purchase. He never even mentioned that they were already closed! It does get busy there and sometimes you do have to wait, but they are worth the wait! I got my kids bikes there too and they were very patient and nice to my kids.

Rude & completely overpriced. Will go out of my way to avoid in the future. If you live in town, it's worth going to Riverhead.

Excellent, professional service...Rotations has become a tradition amongst cyclists in the Hamptons...Knowledgable, reliable and open generously long hours...I may have purchased a dozen bicycles from them since they opened, even some special orders for Europe.... Always satisfied...
I was there recently to get a refit for an old bike and Rick was the soul of patience, painstakingly addressing the smallest detail of fit... While I was there I noticed an array of clients , from parents buying their child's first bike to the sweating cyclophile in from a 50 mile spin being treated with the same consideration...This is how it's done....Thanks Rotations

The owner and staff at Rotations are very rude! I went in to buy a tire. I asked how much it was, he didn't say. When I went to check out I didn't have enough money. He asked what I wanted him to do and I said could I just have the tube. He said that I was a waste of his time. They are also very expensive. I got a 15 dollar fee just to put a tire and tube on a wheel. I would not recommend them. Only use them as a last resort.

Andy L--I have purchased two bicycles from Rotations in the past year. Each time I received excellent assistance from Oscar one time and from the owner Rick the other time. They were sensitive to my budget and very attentive and did not allow themselves to be interrupted while assisting me. They made great suggestions about what accessories I should purchase with the bikes. The three times I have had to get repairs and help, Rick was there to assist me two times immediately and my wife the other time without delay. These visits were always on a Saturday or Sunday at the height of the biking season. Rotations is a 10 in my opinion.

Maybe they have a lot of high end bikes and a good racing clientele, but these people don't do anything for the guy that comes off the street and needs his bike fixed. I needed repairs on short notice for a century ride scheduled a few days later. The day before I walked in to the store and was told to bring the bike around and someone would help me out. I packed it into the car and brought it over on lunch. The guy working the front (who was very nice) tried to get the mechanics to squeeze me in, but they were completely dismissive and didn't even look at the bike. All I heard was one jerk-off saying "no way" and "good-BYE!"

If you want quality work done on your bike, a huge selection and staff who will go to extremes for your business, go to Brands in Wantagh. Don't waste your time with these elitist schmegeggies.

Rotations Bike shop is typical of most Southampton businesses... The owners are always working in the shop and helping customers. The staff is young, easy going, knowledgeable and aims to please. You may have to be patient because they get very busy... They have an incredible selection of bikes to buy and ALWAYS come up with rentals if needed. They are the best.

I was very disappointed in the service at this store. As a local with growing children and a new-found interest in training, you would think they would welcome my $1700 for a bike...not! I went in, found a helpful gent to help me locate the right bike for me, and had to put the bike on hold as my husband had to go to a call for our fire department (he gives up countless hours as a volunteer and as a chief). My husband returned to the shop two days later to pay for the bike, and could get absolutely NO ONE to help him...even the owner, Rick, ignored him. He left angry and saying he wouldn't go back. I wanted that bike, however, and the next chance we got was a few days later. Even though they had placed the bike on hold for me (complete with my name, phone number, and address) and told me they would hold it til I came back in to pay, they sold the bike without so much as a courtesy call to tell me they had another interested customer. Rick, the owner, didn't even take the time to offer to find another bike in his shop for me...only got a "sorry bout that"...and I will no longer buy my or my children's bikes from this store...I will take my money out of town.

I Must Say I Disagree With you on some things. This Store is definitely ranged to the CASUAL Biker all the way to a Pro Cyclist. And There is a Fairly BIG parking lot directly next to the store and a small one in front of it. You can do a variety of things at "Rotations" you can Rent, Store, Repair, and Buy Bikes at Rotations, (including MANY accessories). Weather you are a Experienced rider or a Beginner, Rotations of Southampton IS WERE IT'S AT!

This place is geared toward serious cyclists. Its not the place you go and buy the family 10 speed or your kids first 2 wheeler. Its way too expensive and not for the casual cyclist. The staff was very knowledgeable but as someone who is not an avid cyclist I felt that I was imposing on the employees because I couldn't talk the talk that the cycling enthusiests do. The store is very nice, laid out nicely and they have a huge selection. park was a bit of a nightmare as there is not much parking out front and the nearest municipal lot was a good distance away
