This a run down, 1950's (I guess) motel right downtown in Oneonta, NY. Other than its location on main St., everything else is horrible, substandard, and dirty. The company I was working for booked the room there. The web-site photo and review looked ok. (don't get fooled).

The only thing close to being less than 20 years old was just enough vinyl siding to amake a decievingly nice photo for the websites.

The rooms (I tried two ) were small, filthy, and moldy. The carpets were unvacuumed, the floors sticky from not being mopped. There is no place to hang any clothes, no clock, no coffeemaker, no microwave, no nothing.
There were only two electrical outlets in each room. The free WIFI is not in the rooms. You must go near office to bleed some of the signal off the one and only cheap router at the front desk.

When I opened the drawer of the dilapidated particle board dresser (falling apart due to prior water damage); there was food left inside it that had expired in Feb. 2010 (I was there in June).

The only time to stay in this place might be if I was incredibly drunk and found myself in downtown Oneonta, on a month long drinking binge.

I imagine the jail there has better accomodations than this motel. Vomiting all over the room would probably even go unnoticed by the staff. As do the used syringes laying on the broken concrete walk by the room.

I persoanlly would not pay $19.95 for any room at this dive. The $89 plus that the company paid was a total rip-off.

This place makes any bargain motel I have ever stayed in, such as Super Eight, Budget, Econolodge... Seem like the Ritz-Carlton.
The owner of the place fulfills all the qualities associated with the stereotype for his ethnicity.

The only things keeping this place in business are that it has not been condemned yet, and that there must be a really bad shortage of rooms in the area.

Do yourself a big favor and avoid this place.

Pros: I did not acually see rats, just the roaches.

Cons: run down, dirty, nasty, expensive rip off.

This was probably the worst experience I have ever had with a hotel/motel. It's location on Main St. is about the only redeeming quality - thus not a zero rating.

#1. They give away rooms. Did not get the room I wanted - got "upgraded" to a jacuzzi room and instead made me pay $10 more than I was originally quoted for the room I booked over a month ago.

#2. The rooms absolutely REEK of mold and mildue. It was like being inside of a petri dish. I had to buy a can of Lysol just to make some of the stench go away - it didn't help. I wound up going to WalMart in the middle of the night to buy a sleeping bag and pillowcase because I was afraid of what might be on the comforter. The walls in the room have water leakage and stained wallpaper, with the walls spliiting apart due to water damage. The bathroom smelled like cigarette smoke. The drains were rusty and the floor was unmopped. The main living area was unvacuumed. The headboard of thebed had mold growing on it. The carpet was wet in random places.

#3. I had a "pharmaceutical" dealer outside of my door signing rap songs and making deals and babbling over his cell phone at 3 AM. Unsettling to say the least.

After all of that, I decided I had enought and wound up sleeping in my truck.

Absolutely, positively not worth the $93.14 ($85+tax) paid.

Pros: parking, location

Cons: everything else
