I went to Family Nails because a friend recommended it to me. They said that they did a good job and that is was cheap. Well they did do a good job and it was cheap but they don't sterilize their instruments and both myself and my mother got nail fungus shortly after visiting there. They do offer you the choice to bring in your own implements and they will even store them in labeled video tape boxes which they will keep for you on a shelf in the salon. Otherwise the place is clean. They have those great vibrating chairs with attached foot sinks. The staff is friendly, but I sometimes have a hard time understanding their accent. They have a nail drying station where you can sit and have air blown on your hands and feet. They even massage your shoulders for about fifteen seconds after you are done. They offer several different manicures and pedicures, nail wraps etc. They also offer waxing and massages. They do not accept credit cards. There is metered parking in front of the store and a small parking lot in back. The only way that I would go back is if they started sterilizing their implements, it's just too much trouble to bring my own, this is supposed to be an enjoyable and relaxing experience.

PROS: They do a good job and they are inexpensive.
CONS: They don't sterilize their instruments.
