Not a bad place

by john b.

Over the years I have been to many shops.
So when I seen how nice they treated the customers, it was pleasing. I was surprised to see they have computers with Internet there for the customers to use.
That's much better then being left there to read boring magazines while you wait.
They checked the car and explained why I was having the problem I had, and showed me the actual break in the part. They then had gone on to explained in detail the cause and exactly how it happens. I thought that to be going bit beyond what most places practice.
So, again I was impressed.
After that, they took care of everything that was needed quickly, and got me out to go back to work. All in good time.
Really,, Not a bad place.

Two Guys Autoplex is the place to go with your car problem

by Krzysztof G.

Guy knows what he's talking about and that's why you should get your car fixed over there; last thing you want is somebody experimenting and learning about the cars on your car. Trust me, the best mechanic in NYC .

truly one stop automotive center

Went in for glass, they took in the car before the glass arrived, and checked it for me. Free of charge. Told me a tune up was recommended, now who does that anymore. Not anyone I know. I really recommend these guys

Proffesional and Friendly

by george h.

I needed an inspection, car was taken in right away. Inspection was done, car was very well taken care of. Its so nice to finally come to a place where the staff is friendly and professional at the same time. You sit in the office and you can hear other customers mention the same things. The first impression is the most important, and they definetly impressed me.

Two Guys Autoplex is great

by edward f.

I have an 03 BMW, went in for an oil change. They notice that my windshield was cracked, so instead of taking a chance and washing the car, they took it outside and hand washed it for me. It made my day

Honest, thorough, and by the book

by Anna a.

I like these people at Two Guys Autoplex.
They are the most honest group of people I've met in any business here in N.Y.
It's not just about money with them. They tell you just how it is, good or bad. They pretty much tell you the truth, which is actually so hard to find these days.
It may sound great or then may not be what you want to hear, but it's the truth. Also what I like about them is their concern for doing everything by the book when it come to safety and the environment.
I belong to an organization that fights for the rights of clean air.
Being that cars are one of the most pollutant, There should be stricter law against the releasing of such gasses in the atmosphere. But that's a different story.
I believe these people are doing their part by helping the environment and the people within it.
I learned they also do gas to bio-fuel conversions.
I think that's great guys. Thumbs up to these guys... Really.

Save yourself a problem. DO NOT go to Two Guys Autoplex

by Felipe O.

My engine light turned on, and I went to Two Guys Autoplex. After an initial check, they said that there was a problem with the oxygen sensor. I trusted their judgement, paid for a replacement, and picked up my car only to see the light turn back on later that day.

The owner, Stephen, said that they simply needed to re-set the system, but assured that I could drive without any problem or damage to my car. I brought the car back, only to hear that the computer now had to be changed, and that I should've brought it earlier because I could be harming the engine. Every time I tried to argue that they should have told me that before, Stephen got mad and spoke to me in an insulting "you don't know" tone. His attitude was always similar.

Almost $2000 and one month later, I finally got my car out with the engine light off. That same week I sold my car. When the customer and I went to another shop to get an overall inspection, the first diagnostic was that the oxygen sensor was not working. The new shop assured me that Stephen ripped me off.

I went through a horrible experience, which I share with you so that you may not go through the same. I recommend that you DO NOT go to Two Guys Autoplex.

Two Guys Auto Center is a bunch of swindlers.

by Emily W.

We have had our car inspected at Two Guys the past two years. Both times they found something wrong that cost exactly $800 to fix before we could get our inspection sticker. Amazingly our friends took their car there for an inspection and (shock!) had to spend exactly $800. They've obviously got some kind of racket going on. But to top it all off, they never sent either of our inspections info into the DMV, so we are having problems getting our registration renewed. When we called to ask if they could please send the past two years worth of info into the DMV the staff was completely unhelpful and terribly rude. I was shocked to read that the reviews already up here were so glowing, but on second read it sounds like people who work for or are connected to Two Guys must have written them. They are WAY too glowing and over the top for any auto shop, let alone one that has caused us so much grief. GO ANYWHERE BUT TWO GUYS for auto work. Seriously. ANYWHERE.

Terrific in every way!

by Susan L.

Based on the previous great reviews, we had our car washed at Two Guys today - and we were VERY impressed! For only $8, they did a terrific job - and that included carefully vacuuming the car's interior. The guy who runs the place was extremely friendly, and all of the workers were very thorough. Highly recommended!

Professionals

by anna k.

Two Guys Autoplex is one of the only shops around that I've seen the customers handled the proper way, with professionalism Everyone is taken care of within minutes and then explained what the problem is, in detail. It's amazing just watching them.
I had gone in the day before new years, but it was really late,
and they were so busy. I guess everyone had the same Idea,
to take care of the car before the long drive. But, within 15 minutes from the time I walked in, my car was taken and I had the opportunity to explain the symptoms, and It was there with me present, under the car and all, they checked the car and showed and explained everything. It was so interesting.
They are fast, and thorough. No joke, these guys are really on the ball.
While they made the repair that was needed, I was able to get some work done. They have tables, coffee and Internet access. It was as if I was in some Internet cafe.
Unfortunately in some other places the service is just not there and the people are so rude. You have to wait so long and when you finally get taken care of, it's more like some rush deal where nothing was really done to your car, but you get a bill as if they spent hours on it, like some dealers who claims to be such professionals but treat you like the assembly line your car was first made on,
But Two Guys is a shop I feel comfortable in so many ways.
They make that part of my life, so much easier..

Just Great

by lenny l.

There are many great things to be said about this place.
Their just such fine people, who I've found, to be interested in the customer their needs and making sure the car is in tip top shape.. I mean, you have to see these guys move. Its amazing, they just don't stop. You'll never see these guys sit.Anyway, forgive me, but I would like to take a moment to point something out to the public. There a seem to be a huge injustice here on this site, by them allowing this Jack person to post complete lies about these swell guys..I truly believe that the review I speak of, had been written by a competitor. Some other shop that is may be so upset over the fact that Two Guys Autoplex is out there trying their hardest to please the the public, while the other shops are screwing them.I go there for everything, and there is nothing I ever disliked about their service, or pricing..Some things I cant tolerate, childish things like this. Where there may be others who for some strange reason are some what sympathetic to childish and imbalanced raving lunatics, but come on people, demented individuals should not be entertained.Look, its simple you have a right to post what ever experiences you may encounter with an establishment. But keep it to just that.
What that Jack person wrote was a down right lies which he has nothing to base it on.
So tell me Jack do you really believe you would be able to hurt in any way, such good people that have such an outstanding reputation, by trying to spread some ridiculous teenage lies.
Your just pathetic, if you ask me.

fast but sloppy glasswork

by Jimmy J.

took my car here after someone broke my window. They had it fixed within 4 hours. When I got home, I noticed that no attempt was made to put the door panel together properly and my door lock no longer worked. The guy at the desk (through gritted teeth), asked one of his mechanics to look into it and did everything to ignore me the rest of my time there. It looks like it depends who they have doing your job, as the second guy paid great attention to detail. However, the fact remains that if they don't care about fixing very obvious issues that even the average Joe can spot, you might want to think twice before having them work on complicated things. Again, it's a game of roulette and you have no control over the expertise level of the guy they assign to your car. Pricing was not the worst. I wouldn't go back for any mechanical issues, as there are tons of other garages in the neighboring area and the odds of getting a bad mechanic are the same.

The best group of guys

by charlie c.

This place is by far the best out there. In the past I've had to deal with the garbage other places have handed me. So,, I had been searching for a while for someone I can trust, and I was become a little discouraged. Well, there are people out there. It took a while to find, but now I wouldn't think of pulling into any other place than Two Guy's Autoplex. I feel more relaxed knowing that my cars are being checked out and repaired completely, by people who are honest about what needs to be done, and the price they give. I'm glad there around.

I'm glad I went

by Teddy Rock

I just moved from Manhattan into Greenpoint, and I'll tell you, it's a pain having to find new places to shop or to have any services done, like, laundry, dry cleaning, or even car servicing. I found Two guys though a friend who highly recommended them. Well,, it was great advice. After my experiences there, I really wouldn't look to go anywhere else. I've been to many repair facilities before, but not quite like this one. Their far different from the rest. They treat you with respect, and they really look at the customer being the most important part of the business. I found them to be honest, and not just looking to make a buck.

After explaining my busy schedule, they offered to pick up the car from my house, which most places would never bother offering. They had taken care of the services needed, where then, I was able to pick up the car on my way in from work.

I'll just say, These guys are exceptional.

Thanks guys.

Pros: Cool guys that are straight up

Cons: Didn't see any

Good feeling about them

by Kevin D

I am a collector and shipper of classic vehicles, both European and American.

So, unfortunately over the years I've seen some shady places before that treated my cars poorly, and of-course over charged especially the dealers.

So, that's why after visiting Two Guys Autoplex, I needed to write something good about these guys.

When I first went in , It was for a hand wash on my 65 Mercedes.

While I was there I spotted an old cobra. that they were restoring. I had been looking for that car for years. You can imagine my interest, but I was asked not to go to close to the car, which I highly respected. If it were my car , I would ask the same.

But anyway, I was very impressed with the high level of concern and professionalism they had with the work that was being done on each of the cars that were there, and how sincere they were when handling there customers.

After a few visits of seeing the same, I met with the owner and requested for Two Guys Autoplex to take care of all my vehicles. Mind you, I rotate approximately 75 cars a year.

Well, I'm glad I found them, and that their here in the neighborhood.

Pros: Sincere professionals

Cons: none

Different from the other places

by Vira85

I found myself stuck in a lousy situation one day, pushing my car off that lovely BQE they call a highway..

I didn't want to call the last place I went because of the bad experience I had before.

So I called my wife who checked on-line and gave me the number of a new place, Two Guys Autoplex.

I called, and they came.

Theses guys were great. They towed my car, found the problem, fixed it, got it going, and had me out in under two hours.

But the one thing they said to me before I left, which I found shocking was, they felt I should not look to sink any other money into this car. That my car (at almost 200,000 miles) had seen better days, and that it would take more money then what it's worth to get it back in shape, in order to depend on it once again..

That's not something I expected to ever hear from some auto repair shop.

There really are honest people out there. You just have to look for them.

Pros: They know their stuff and they're honest guys

Cons: nothing

A great place to bring a broken car.

by Molly718

My husband brought our 11-year-old minivan to Two Guys when the Maintenance Required light went on. It turned out that the van needed a new catalytic converter, as well as many other repairs. The mechanic actually put the car on the lift and showed us each and every repair he was planning to make. Then we sat down with another employee, who again explained each repair in detail and gave us several price points for parts. When we told him that we were essentially broke, he worked out reasonable solutions with us instead of trying to sell us on unneeded repairs.

In the end, the repairs actually cost LESS than the estimate, which really surprised me. I picked up the van 3 days later and it was running like new! They even cleaned it inside and out. Later the same day, I noticed that one of the tires was flat. They fixed the problem within 40 minutes and didn't charge me.

The best part of the experience was not feeling like we'd been taken advantage of. Everyone we dealt with was very friendly and eager to help. I will be returning to Two Guys for all of my van's needs!

Pros: Honest, took time to talk

Worth the trip

by Mcray75

I found these guys online. So I wasn't sure what to expect.
I needed to travel a bit to get there being I live
in Bay Ridge.
But it turned out these guys are rated #1 for a reason. They were straight with me about everything that was needed and what I didn't need to be bothered with.
Their straight up.
They had even taken care of a couple of problems I've had with the motor that other places I've been to couldn't diagnose.
These people are really the one to see if you have issues with your car. I'm glad I made the trip.

Pros: Experienced mechanics and trustworthy

Cons: nowhere to eat while waiting

Decent people

by Adam Andler

These people are the most decent people I've met since I've moved to NY.
Most people are just rude and want to take you money. But not these guys.
They actually have helped me on numerous occasions and didn't even charge me. The last time I was there I I had smoke coming from the car that left a cloud behind me when I drove. They found the problem quick and just opened the hood re-attached something and said not to worry I be fine now. There pretty cool guys.
Thanks again guys......

Pros: diligence,and honesty

Cons: not much parking

There are still good people out there

by Peter Coelle

These guys are awesome.
I had a lot of damage done to my brand new car by a wild pack of kids.
My windshield was broken, my door was dented in,the paint was keyed, my radio was stolen, my antenna was broken. My wife and I stepped into there place almost in tears.
These guys helped us so much. I requested only to order and replace the windshield being there's no insurance on the car yet and I didn't have money to pay for all the other work needed. But it was later that they took it upon themselves to pull out the dent in the door touch up the scratch and replace the antenna for free. They offered to search for a used radio from perhaps a junk yard. I couldn't believe it. At first when we went in to pick up our car I was afraid to even look at it. Knowing there was all the other damage to it.
But when I saw it I was amazed. It looked great. and they didn't even charge me for the other stuff.
The owner said they had an extra antenna and the rest was just some time spent, and that they were happy to do it. And that I should just find myself a garage to park the car inside. I can't say enough on how I appreciate what they did for us.

Pros: They have a heart

Cons: 0

Frankly speaking, It's the most trustworthy place around

by johnnyjb

I have gone through the troubles before with other shops, but when I found this place I was really impressed and pleased with there performance and honesty towards what was needed to be repaired on my car(which was not much at all). Since I had been to a some other shop a week before that tried selling me everything under the sun, these guys looked great in my eyes.
The only complaint I had was that it had taken a while for them to clean the car after the repairs, simply because there not enough guys working in the car wash. Maybe it was just that day. I don't know.
But I guess I really can't complain being the car wash was free anyway. perhaps It was just that I was in a huge rush to get back to work that day.
Anyway,, I highly recommend this shop.

Pros: Honesty, and Diligence

Cons: Not enough guys washing cars

I'm through with this place

by Greenpointer203

i was warned to stay away from this place. I thought I could get a simple annual inspection. No. Their mechanic told me they wouldn't pass my car unless I bought a brake job the car didn't need. The employee started off really vague about the brakes. He just said 'these are your brakes. you want more than that." He never measured the brake pad but kept insisting "you want'" a brake job." When I said no he lost his temper. The car didn't need brakes at all. The car easily passed inspection at the next shop I went to. Now you have been warned.

Pros: nearby

Cons: agressive sales pitch

Not bad

by happyfranky

Not a bad place at all.
Just like other people, I have had to deal with the garbage from other shops in the past.
These guys were different by far. They did leave somewhat of an impression.
They were quick with finding the problem with my car,
they fixed in 20 minutes,
and their bill was cheap.
So I really can't say anything bad about them.
What I really didn't expect was that they detailed my car for free before giving it to me.
So I guess you can say I was a happy camper when leaving.

Pros: Fast and friendly

These people are extremely good and I never have to wait for anything.
I pull in and they take my car right away, whether its an oil change or repair that's needed, and what I really like is they approach you in such a professional manner and offer you either coffee, tea or even internet usage.
As far as their prices I've found that they are pretty much average, although the one thing they do is give a lot more extras into the service, like topping off all the fluid for free and give you a free car wash with any of the services.
This is a pretty good place. Highly recommended.

Pros: Skillfull and quick

Cons: no parking outside

Straight up guys

by Frannie1975

I went to Two Guys Autoplex after not being able to find someone who can interchange parts from another vehicle.
See, I have an old Camaro that I'm not only restoring, but I'm preparing it for the track. The speed I need can't be produced by the original motor and transmission. So I got myself a larger motor and transmission from an old GTO.
Everyone at other shops told me it was impossible, but Two Guys new exactly what needed to be done to make the interchange work. They also suggested going with a few differences that needed to be to make the car more stable and also made the job a lot cheaper.
These guys are top notch. They know their stuff and there really cool people.
I now have a date for the track after showing them just how much power and speed my car can push out..

Pros: Straight up and Honest guys, That really know their stuff

Cons: none

Fine place

by dariadare

I have gone to Two Guy's for years.
My last review must have been about 3 years ago. I don't even know if it's still posted or not.
But anyway, I just wanted to say that these guy's are the finest in what they do, and the most concerned about the vehicles they service. You can really see it in their face.
They are always so busy with so many cars, but they always make sure the customer never has to wait to long for their car to be brought in and worked on.
In most cases I have left my car as I went to work, and picked it up later in the day. But in some instances it was something minor. So,, I just waited, although I never waited more that 20 minutes for any thing they needed to do.
Their skillful, honest and really fast. Thumbs up....
I just felt I should get that message out to people.
Thank you.

Pros: Always friendly and attentive

Cons: No outside parking

I took my car to Two Cars Autoplex to have the door fixed. They didn't fix a crucial part of the door and didn't tell me until I came to pick it up after they told me it was "fixed." They then quoted me a price to have the final part done. When they finally got the last part fixed, it ended up costing twice as much as the original quote. The work they did was fine, and they did not "upsell" me. But their quote was way low and they didn't do the job right the first time, so I give them two stars.

Pros: do fine work

Hello.
I dropped my car off with these guys and went to work.
By the end of the day, they had my car repaired, inspected and waiting for me.
After repairing the car they had even cleaned the car perfectly, inside and out for free. NOW THAT'S SERVICE.
You don't find that too often, especially in N.Y..
I'll be seeing those guys again.

Nice place w/ cool people

by Berny2b

I don't usually write reviews. It not my thing.
But I had been looking to pass an inspection for 3 days, and I was told by 4 shops in the area that my car needed all sorts of work done to it. The thing is, all the other shops said I needed completely different things done in order to pass. I then was told by a friend to go over to Two Guy's Autoplex. When I did they had told my all I needed was 1 tire, which I had known about for the longest time but never had the time to change it.
At that point I was so pleased, that I now found the time to change the tire, and I was on my way.
I seen just how many people like this place only when going on this site to write the review myself.
I would definitely recommend this place to everyone.

Pros: Great service, honest, and a free car wash

Cons: None really

RIP OFF ARTISTS

by unclesanchez

The worst part was that they did unwanted work. They replaced a rusty exhaust bracket that wasn't broken and charged $80--$65 for parts (the part costs $10) and $15 for labor (my grandmother could replace an exhaust bracket in 15 minutes, and she's dead). When I said I didn't want to pay that, they took off their bracket and put mine back on....which was now conveniently broken.

But besides that, they lied about the estimate. For the job I wanted, they quoted me for parts + $65 in labor, but when I got the bill it was $65 in labor PER SIDE OF THE CAR! So they billed me $130 in labor, not the quoted $65. So, if you want to get ripped off and overcharged and not get your stuff fixed, this is the place for you!

Cons: Pay money for them to break your car

Let me start of by saying that I found this place online and chose it after reading many of the positive reviews about it. I was purchasing a used car from a private seller around the area and needed to have it checked out before I bought it. I called first to see if this is something they can do for me and was transfered directly to the owner of the shop, Stephen. After briefly speaking with him we arranged that I would bring the car in later in that day. Asked for the price and was quoted somewhere around $30. I ended up coming in later that day with the owner of the car to have it looked at. He freaked out when he realized that the guys at Two Guys Auto where doing a very detailed inspection, he came up with a quick excuse and rushed me out of there... Fortunately not in time for the mechanics to be able to tell me what exactly is wrong with the car and unfortunately before one of the guys got to test drive it. Because of this they ended up not charging me anything. Later on that day I came in and had an hour discussion with the owner about what needed to be fixed and received a price quote. I was still a little unsure if I should buy the car without it being test driven by the mechanic. I expressed my concerns to them and Stephen offered to come with me to where the owner of the car lives and test drive it before I finalize my decision. We went there later on that day. Even with all the parts I had to replace I bought the car (it was a decent deal). Brought it back to the shop left it over the weekend while I took care of plates, registration and insurance and came back Monday to pick it up. The car was ready when promised, detail cleaned waiting for me outside. They replaced the brakes, the routers, the struts, fixed the flex pipe, my bumper, gave me an inspection and some other minor things and charged me LESS then what I was quoted.. Really honest guys. I've only had one other issue with the car since then. Something in my car was leaking. I took it in to them again. After well over an hours of hosing the car and pulling apart all the panels they finally found where the leak was coming from. I was told it needs to be sealed. I wanted clear sealant which they were out of so I ran over to AutoStrauss and bought it for $5. When I asked them how much I owe .... NOTHING.

I later recommended them to my cousin who was having transmission problems on his 02 Impala. He had the transmission replaced already once and was charged over $1K for a used transmission by a different shop. Two Guys ended up putting in a NEW transmission for him for only $200 or $300 bucks more... The car now drives flawlessly..

I would recommend to anyone. These guys know what they are doing and they are good at it. The customer always comes first and leaves satisfied.

Pros: Honest, Work around your schedule

awsome guys

by sammycam

Thes people saved my day.. They really did.
My girlfriend did a stupid thing. she took my bosses car then bottomed out the car and damaged the transmission. These guys were the only ones I would even think of taking the car to anyway because of how they helped me out before..
Being we were in a pretty serious situation, I told them to just do what needed to be done, even if it meant a whole new transmission.
Well,, three hours later I was told it was done, and all we needed was new pan that holds the fluid which only cost $110.
We were able to get the car parked in the same spot without him knowing.
Guy's, if your reading this, thanks a lot,

Pros: Honest people

I've got a good feeling about this place

by robbyross

I am a collector and shiper of classic vehicles, both european and American.
So, unfortunatly over the years I've seen some shady places before that treated my cars poorly, and of-course over charged especially the dealers.
So, thats why after visiting Two Guys Autoplex, I needed to write something good about these guys.
When I first went in , It was for a hand wash on my 65 mercedes.
While I was there I spotted an old cobra. that they were restoring. I had been looking for that car for years. You can immagine my interest, but I was asked not to go to close to the car, which I highly respected. If it were my car , I would ask the same.
But anyway, I was very impressed with the high level of concern and professionalism they had with the work that was being done on each of the cars that wwere there, and how sincere they were when handling there customers.
After a few visits of seeing the same, I met with the owner and requested for Two Guys Autoplex to take care of all my vehicles. Mind you, I rotate aproximately 75 cars a year.
Well, I'm glad I found them, and that their here in the nieborhood.

Pros: Highly qualified, professional, and sincere

Cons: not much parking outside, but not a big deal

Different from the rest

by peterpip

I found myself stuck in a lousy situation one day, pushing my car off that lovely BQE they call a highway..
I did'nt want to call the last place I went because of the bad experience I had before.
Thats not something I expected to ever hear from some auto repair shop.
There really are honest people out there. You just have to look for them.

Pros: skillful, quick,Staight shooter

Cons: absolutey nothing

BEWARE

by imishyea

I came here with my boyfriend's car trying to replace a part. We left a deposit and was told the part would be here in 2 days. it took 5 days for it to get there. ok, a little late no problem. Then we were told that the part that he ordered was triple the original price agreed on, and it wasnt even all of the parts. There was an additional part we had to order that was extra. A week later we come to try to talk to him, the part still isnt there! 2 weeks after the original deposit. We asked for the deposit back he started to curse and become disgusting. BEWARE. HE MIGHT TALK TO YOU NICE IN THE BEGINNING BUT HE WILL RIP YOU OFF IN THE END. never got m deposit back, but got the part for 1/3 of the price online. NEVER GO HERE!

On the ball

by ozzyoz

I cant say enough about how cool these guys are.
I've had many problems with my car in the past.
Other shops have quoted me $1500.and more for the repair they say were needed.
When I pulled into Two Guys Autoplex the mechanic heard the problem right away, even though the hood was down.
He told me exactly what was needed and that it would cost $175. for parts and $50 for the labor. A lot better than those other quotes.
The owner said it was no problem they would have it done in an hour if I'd like.
So, I went with it, and the car drives great.
They even gave me a free car wash

Pros: Trustworthy guys

Cons: not much ouside parking

Arrogant and Overrated. Awful experience

by Joepublic

I went there based on all these great reviews. Boy, was that a mistake. Please read on:

I needed my car inspected for NY emissions. The woman on the phone told me it would take 10 minutes and that the mechanic would be in at 9AM. I was there at 9AM. Unfortunately, the "boss" decided to park his nice, sparkling BMW in the garage bay the night before where I needed to park my car for the inspection. And because he was the "boss man" no one knew when he would come in to move his flamboyant piece of sparkling garbage, if at all. I said, "I'm a customer. Let me call him to ask him if he plans on coming in to his business toady." The reply? With terror in their eyes, "Oh, no. He's the boss man. He comes in only if he likes. You can't call him." So, I went two doors down to a place called SC Truck and Auto Repair. FANTASTIC. Ask for Sabby. He's the owner. A wonderful man who inspected the car himself in five minutes. That's the place to go for any repair jobs. So, I say, "Thanks Mr. BMW Arrogant 'Bossman.' You helped me find a mechanic for all my needs and you lost business all in one egotistical swoop. Well played.

I'm glad I found them

by Annaania

I'm new in Greenpoint. and its hard not knowing the area.
One day my car was acting so funny. It was stumbling and stalling. I was able to make it to the nearest shop, fortunatly it was Two Guys. Because it was after waiting just about 15 minutes for them to check the car that I was told the car was done, and all that happened,,,I was running out of gas. They went and got gas for me and started the car.
I couldnt believe it.. I was so embarrassed that I had forgoten to go to get gas.. I didnt know what to say, other than how much do I owe you, they said only the gas.
Well, I felt at the time I definatly needed to write something , but of couse, I FORGOT.
I guess not much had changed. Ha ha
I go there for everything now. They have taken care of my car in so many ways. I am really grateful. It's hard finding people you can trust. Thats why I'll never go elsewhere.
It turns out, these people are the best, in every way. Skillful, fast, honest and really nice guys.

Pros: everything

Cons: cant find a thing

Helpful people

by lenny12

I have an old car which is all I have to get me bak and forth to work, and upstate on the weekends,
I havnt the money to invest in newer model, nor, much to put into this one.
The first time I had gone to Two Guy was quit funny. I was stuck on the expressway when Stephen
( the owner ) was driving by and chose to pushed me off the exit, to avoid me having to pay some companies outragous tow bill.
Well, to make a long story short, Stephen found the problem there on the street and fixed it. He found and fixed the problem so quick, he never charged me. He just asked to come check out his place some time, even if it's just for a car wash.
Well now I go there for all my services. I would go anywhere else.
The people at Two Guys Autoplex really have done well by me. They have good hearts.
If you see this guys,
Thanks

Pros: Honest and helpful

Cons: none

These are the guys you want to see

by johnny10

I would like to start by telling you that I can't say enough about these guys.
They are the most trusting people I have ever met.
I work for a company that as an accout with them. We have over 70 vehicles and these guys service them every day, from repairs to car washes
I'm there myself at Two Guy's Autoplex nearly every morning. And all I ever see is how they look to really assist anyone that ever comes in. I dont just mean service there vehicle, but they accually look to take care of the car the best it can be. One of the things I like about them is thier so straight foward.
They'll tell you just how it is, good or bad,. No sugar coating, no lines, in other words NO BS
They have always explained everything in such detail and have given me, and others that I've seen thier opinion on whether or not the vehicle is even worth repairing.

Pros: Staight honest facts, and skiillfull workmanship

Cons: Not much street parking

The only place I Trust

by Irinna

I can't stress enough how much I care for this place.
I,, like many others, have delt with other places before. Them telling me to fix something and my car will last, but I pretty much got screwed, but those are different stories.
When I first went to Two Guy's, they were staight with me. Instead of being told to spend a ton of money on that piece of cr__.,
the guys told me they felt it really wasn't worth putting what would be needed into the car.
I felt then, someone was finally being honest with me. I'll tell you,, It's not so easy to find people like that, and I appreciated that.
Well,, They recommended what dependable cars to look at.
So I bought a car, and now I go there for all my services.
I couldn't be more thankful.
Thanks Two Guy's Autoplex

Pros: everything

Cons: nothing

Fast but sloppy

by Jimmy77

took my car here after someone broke my window.

Pros: Fast

Cons: quality of work not consistent from 1 mechanic to the next

Trustworthy Mechanics in Brooklyn, NY---the best, if not one of the best!

by WilliamVelasco

My 1999 Volvo S80 recently needed brakes replacement and other complex issues. I took it to Stephen, the owner, and he broke down exactly what was needed and a good approximation of what it would cost. He took it upon himself to request the parts and gave me daily updates. I dropped off the car on Saturday and it was ready by Tuesday evening (parts shipping delay). Needless to say my Volvo was returned to me in pristine condition...good work at a fair price, unlike several other mechanics I visited in Brooklyn and Queens. Stephen and the crew at Two Guys are down to earth, friendly and very knowledgable. In my business as a financial advisor, relationships are number one. Stephen and his dedicated staff has my business and I will refer my clients to him. Thanks to the staff at Two Guys. You guys and gals are the greatest.

William Velasco

Pros: Stephen will tell you and show you what you need and will recommend OEM or quality after market parts. He is a great listener and is on top of your service.

Honest, hard working people

by henryh8

Me and my wife go there once a week to wash the car, and oil changes roughly every 3 months.
Even though I always see them running from one car to the next, it never really occoured to me how honest and hard working these people are till about 2 days ago when my car died coming home from work.
I wasn't sure who to call till my wife sudgested Two Guys. When I had called them it was quite late, close to 7. I was told everyone was on thier way out the door, but Steve said he would be happy to come and at least look at the car and let me know what the problem was.
Well,,,, he checked the car and as funny as it seems he found that a squirel or some rodent had made a nest in the motor area and had chewed at some wire harness. At that point he said it wasn't necessary to tow the car. He just rewired the harness there on the street, then thanked me for calling him, and told me just to say hello the next time I washed my car or did an oil change.
Now,,,, you don't usually see appreciation like that from most people. In fact almost never.

Pros: honest, and go out of thier way for you

Cons: none that I can think of

Watch Your Price Skyrocket!

by aet

Smooth operators who seem to be honest about problems but really mark up parts, in my case a radio, which I found online for 1/3 of what I was charged, plus installation. That will keep me from going back. The car was delivered to me about six hours after it was promised with nary a call to tell me not to waste my time coming to pick it up after telling me not to call -- it would be ready.

But they are friendly!

Cons: Opaque pricing, high markups.
