Katwalk

Went to b-day party there recently and figured the place would be hot. It was nothing to write home about. The place was half empty on a Saturday night and the bartenders some how forget to give you your credit card back after paying for drinks. Place is definitely overrated.

I went with my friends after work Wednesday and it was great. The people that were there were nice and the bartenders are attentive and friendly. This is one of the best places in midtown for a drink with friends.

If you want to be hasseled at the door just to get in and not be able to reach the incredibly overpriced bar then go ahead and hit up this bar. The doorman and manager were completely rude when trying to deny my friend access to the bar for wearing "street clothes" timbs and khakis while a man in shorts and flip flops came out for a cigarette...save yourself time and money and go somewhere else

This place is lame. I dont know who below thought that $6 bass drafts were reasonable prices and I can get $3 bud drafts anywhere. The music is usually way too loud. I attended 2 private parties here over the last few months and was not impressed either time and now I wont bother going back. There are too many better places than this to spend your money.

I've been to many lounges where the crowd is laid back and enjoying themselves, however at this place people seem mmore concerned with those around them to have a good tme. They are probably people watching since there is nothing to actually do at the katwalk, unless you bring a bar full of you friends. No body socializes, mostly due to the poor set-up and type of vibe that the katwalk wants to put out; that they are better than everyone who enters.

Went by after-work and was impressed with the space and the chilled vibe. Solid drink specials and a nice mix of music. Our waitress was very nice as well.

I went to Katwalk for a friends party....it was dead on a Friday.
The bartenders were rude, the drinks over-priced for a mid-town after work bar.
They gave my friend a hard time for wearing boots, nice boots, not construction boots.
When I complained to the owner, he looked more liek a slob than my friend.
A waste of Money for bad service, bad music and over-priced drinks

I went to Katwalk for my birthday party. It is a great venue if you want to have a party. I felt like I was entertaining out of my home. I could mingle and talk to all of my friends, but also was able to meet new people. I loved the staff and the drinks weren't too expensive!

Good Time!

I hosted my boyfriends bday at Katwalk this past weekend. The Managers were great to deal with. My guests had no issues getting in and there was NO cover for my guests!
I would recommend Katwalk to any one looking to host a party in a good looking lounge, with live dancers, without the standard hassle and dumb managers that you get from other places.

I have been by Katwalk twice in the past couple of weeks for happy hour. So I can safely say it is a real good solid place without the bad attitude and service that most other NYC places have. I would def put it in my top 3 after-work hangouts. Jamie & Larry the Thursday night bartenders are great!

Went to Katwalk this past Sat night for a friend¡¦s bday, loved it! There was no cover, live dancers, kewl video shows and a great DJ. The drink prices are what you would expect from an NYC lounge of Katwalk¡¦s caliber WITHOUT the cover charge. My friend said because they booked a party, there was no cover charge for their guests. This is my type of place :)

I threw my wife her surprise 30th birthday party at katwalk last night. I wish I can do it all over again. Not only were the drink prices out of control but the one female bartender that was serving us kept making up her own prices as the night went on. I dont know if she was new and didnt know but that is no excuse. Overall I had a terrible time and wish I could do it all over again because I wouldnt choose Katwalk!

Party on a friday night and the bouncers, bartenders, and everyone that worked there was extremely rude. The drinks were overpriced relative to other places around the area. Don't plan your party here.

I went to Katwalk a while back, and it was great. There were many young professionals as myself, lots of beautiful but down to earth people, and a good crowded, but not TOO crowded feeling. The music was good to listen to and the bartenders were friendly. However, I believe management has changed (?) and now the bar seems empty, and draws in the older crowd (mid 30s) because the drinks are super expensive. 1 redbull vodka = $15 i think... or something ridiculous like that. Young people don't go there much any more due to lack of peers there, and prices make you wish you still lived with your parents. Atmosphere is still nice, however, good decoration, lighting, but the music also has changed into... well, something I don't like.

I went to Katwalk for the first time for the Real Live People Party and had a blast! The specials were great and the bartenders were fast. The movie size screens were awesome to watch the Yanks/Sox game. Will go come back soon!

What a blast! I did a guest bartend gig @ Katwalk. It was a lot of fun & the mgmt was very nice to work with. They have a rule that you need to bring at least 30 guests and they strict about it. So if you can get at least 30 people to show up and to support you. I would recommend trying it out.

I went to Katwalk this past Saturday night for a friends party and I was impressed. The décor is very nice. But I was truly impressed with the attitude of the managers and bartenders. There was not the annoying NYC lounge attitude. Other places should take a note from Katwalk: TREAT THE CUSTOMER RIGHT! Thank you Katwalk for being one of the few lounges that do not make you feel like a loser.

I had my birthday party here back in April and it was fun. We were in the upstairs - with just my party and another party. Although we were getting kicked out of the upstairs area before our open bar was done - thought that was a little annoying and had to take control of that situation at my own birthday - something I didn't want to do or be bothered with. But they continued to have our open bar downstairs which was fine. Overall - good experience. They played good music and bartenders were friendly and fast. Recommend calling atleast a few weeks before if you are planning event here.

I went to Katwalk for the first time this past weekend for a friends bday party. What a great time! No cover, no bouncers with ego problems, just a good lounge without the typically NYC nightlife BS attitude. If you want to go to a lounge were you can be treated like an A-lister without actually being an A-lister, then I would consider Katwalk as one of your nightlife spots.

I organized a party for my company in the private Kat Lounge. Everything went as smooth as can be. The staff and management treated us great! I am definitely considering hosting the company holiday party at Katwalk in December. If you are looking for a midtown lounge, then I would recommend looking into Katwalk. Hopefully you have the same great time & experience that I had.

I went to Katwalk this past Saturday for my girlfriends bday. I was amazed for such a nice lounge, that the 'attitude' was non existent. There was no cover for guests in my friends party, drink were reasonable priced. We even had a celeb sitting, Mike Rappaport. Okay he is only a B level celeb. But for a place with no cover & no attitude, it was still kewl :)

Katwalk is as close as you can get to a drama and attitude FREE lounge/club in NYC. I have been to many nightlife places in NYC and Katwalk is as close to perfect as you can get. Nice security staff & bartenders. Even the bathroom attendants were nice! :)
I will be back in the near future.

Had a party there recently and it was great! I disagree with the last review since my event went off without a hitch and the service and managers were great. The drinks, music, and food are all excellent. I am definitely going back and holding more events here.

I cannot believe I chose this place for my party! My guest were turned away, when I was the one bringing them business. They bouncers were meat-heads who had an ego issue, and they were just overall not accomidating. For such a nice space, they really should have a whole new staff. Unless you want to pop a vain in your head from stress, I say stay clear of this place.... bad business guys!

Myself and my boys from Morgan wnated to check out the so called 'Great' Katwalk happy hr, well it definitely lived up to their reputation. The massive screens were great to watch the Yanks & the drinks specials & bartenders were solid!
I noticed some review about the bouncers being bad. They were fine with us. Maybe if you act like a clown, they are not so nice :)

There are not too many places in the neighborhood that brings a good lookin' crowd and good time. No attitude, just good music and good drinks. The door man was nice and the bartenders were friendly. Def. recommend Katwalk!

A few of my friends decided to check out Katwalk. The space was kewl & the vibe was good. Nice place to party with some friends. They maintain a good dress code, which is nice to keep out the trash.

A group of my friends and I have met up at the Katwalk several times. It is always friendly and easy-going. You can sit at the bar for a really good drink, or go upstairs to the private lounge. Fridays and Saturdays are ABSOLUTELY packed and the music is fantastic. The during the week crowd is a lot more laid back, but the music is always good. I personally like it during the week. Seems to be such an interesting group of people.

My company had a private event in the private 'Kat Lounge'. It was very hot & the music & large screen projectors were awesome. The management was great to deal with.

I was suprise to see how busy this Midtown lounge actually got last weekend. There was a huge line outside, but since we were there for a birthday party the doorman took care of us immediately. There's only a few places left in New York like this where you get treated right.

I hosted my girlfriends birthday party at Katwalk this past Saturday. It was great!!! The DJ, the crowd and the Kat bartenders. If you are considering hosting a birthday event. you should definitely consider Katwalk!

I had my birthday party here and it was a great experience! The waitress and hostess were great in accomodating my guests. The atmosphere was great and so were the drinks, music, and food. Everyone had such a great time- I would definitely recommend this place for your birthday.

There a very few lounges left like this especially in Midtown. Very friendly, great place to meet cool people. You can tell it has many regulars. The crowd is really cool. I love the size of their martinis. This lounge has that old school feel, mixed with that trendy lounge appeal. When you want a place to go to with no hassels, but only to have fun, then check this place out.

I went to a party here recently. They had the upstairs roped off and a waitress that was very quick and efficent. Eventhough I don't really hang out in that area the crowd was fashionable and decent. They have a really good happy hour special that would probably go back for.

I've had such a great time there...This place rocks every night of the week. The weekends are always fun and upbeat and the weekdays there is always a cool party. I love their martinis. Me and my friends have had quite a few parties here. The staff is always sooo nice and accomidating.

Wanted to let people know how great the Katwalk is, esp. for a birthday party. They have this promotion where you can get a comp bottle of campagne (or wine I believe) for the group when you bring in a certain amount of people.

The waitress service and the service in general is great for a party this size b/c they give you a section which is reserved and can be used only for your party. They serve appetizers and they are really good as well

The dj and music are awesome and the atmosphere is really cool...

I was suprised to see a midtown lounge really have a great nightlife atmosphere. I came by with a few friends for a quick drink before we started the night and ended up staying there for awhile.

Last night, I was at Katwalk for a birthday celebration, and everything was ok until they said we have to leave our reserved area since the next party was coming in, and this was at midnight. My warning is if you expect to have lots of people, make sure that they don't 'unexpectedly' tell you that. The bartenders made some nice drinks though. Overall, the place is ok but it is small and can get very crowded.
