This is my favorite place to nip in for a coffee and snack while shopping in Soho. I haven't been to the restaurant, but the take out shack on Spring St. offers a wide selection of baked goods, salads and coffees for take away. I recommend the pistachio doughnut. Bring something from here to your next dinner party.

You have to try this restaurant if you are in the city! The breads are baked fresh in the bakery every day, the raw bar is like no other in NYC! the food is always fresh and the best around. Service is always on top of things and top notch.
I highly recommend this restaurant.

Excellent French food. Even the Creme Brulee was exceptional by European standards. Good atmosphere and good crowd of people. Went there for a wedding anniversary and the wife loved it."

Balthazar is a top notch restaurant but I'm reviewing the bakery that is attached to it. This is top notch stuff. The fruit tarts are amazing and much of the bread is up there in the uppper echelons of New York baked goods. The Rosemary Foccacia is stupendous and they make a mean ciabatta. Not real expensive for the bread and it will enhance any meal you make.
PROS: great bread
CONS: none that are apparent
