With more TVs than the local electronics store--there are more than 40--the Ship's vaguely nautical theme is outdone by sports, although the map-print wallpaper and model clipper ships (along with beer-bottle lights strung over the bar) work with the motif. Leather-backed booths and starched white tablecloths exude an air of class. Multiple dart boards, several pool tables and video games offer the sports-watching crowd some hands-on entertainment.The friendly clientele is predominantly male, though fruity specialty drinks like frozen margaritas and very sweet sangria seem to be a concession for the women who do stop in. From been a local in the ship of Fools, I have to nominate Gemma as an excellent bar tender, she is a pure asset to the bar with her down to earth aqttitute and her conforting chat, she is the a huge reason why both myself and my work colluges drink here so often, well done gemma, keep doing what you are doing

Don't let the name fool you -- Ship Of Fools is the best sports bar in NYC. It's also one of the best neighborhood hangouts around. The owners and the staff are all genuinely nice people who value your business. The food is great and the beers are cold. They have about 7 thousand TVs so regardless of the sport, they can usually get the game for you, and usually will when you ask. The regulars are all fun, good people, spanning a few decades in age. It;s a nice, comfortable place to have some fun. Highly recommended by a longtime regular.

Hands down, the best place for Steeler fans in NYC. Great for watching other teams also, like the Pirates or Penguins. The food is great, but the service is what keeps me coming back.
