I had an episode with my sweet girl (German shephard mix dog) wherein she somehow managed to fall off the porch--2 stories--and needed immediate care. Everyone else was closed as it was 11:00pm on a weekday, and I thought for sure the way she was limping she had broken a leg. This wonderful emergency center was a bit busy but got to me and my girl as quickly as possible, were thorough and caring, and continuously updated and resassured me regarding any anesthesia, etc. they had to administer for x-rays. A truly remarkable vet and though the care is expensive, it is well worth every penny to know your 4-legged friend is in skilled hands.

I am very glad that this place exisits. Our puppy had gotten very sick in the late evening and couldn't find many places to take him. We felt very welcome and they tried to do the best they could to figure out the problem. Even tho the puppy passed away we were able to bring him home for a burail. They provide a nice box for him to come home in. You could tell they were also saddened by our loss.

I AM SO GLAD THAT A BUSINESS LIKE THIS EXISTS! I HAD AN OVERWHELMING NEED FOR EMERGENCY CARE FOR MY BELOVED DOG ON CHRISTMAS DAY, AND NO ONE ELSE OF COURSE WAS AROUND. IT SURE MADE MY CHRISTMAS MUCH BETTER. THE VET AND ANIMAL HELPERS ARE EXCELLENT, AND VERY GENTLE WITH MY DOG.

Thank goodness this place exists. The need was overwhelming for an emergency hospital like this.

When your pet becomes ill or is injured and your vet is closed, what do you do? Luckily you can take him or her to the Animal Emergency Center and get expert care.

I rushed my dog there after a severe scratch to the eye (and cornea) by one of my "loving" cats and was treated with swiftness and respect. My dog was obviously nervous and in pain, but the staff was wonderful with him and managed to take care of his eye and alleviate his pain and stop an infection from forming.

It works like any emergency room. Animals are seen first based on severity of their situation and that's the way it should be.

Usually, you are seen fairly quickly no matter what you are there for.

The prices are higher than a regular visit but worth it if you love your pet and they need immediate treatment.

They are open late. I believe I took my dog there at about 10:30 p.m.

Cats and dogs are seen and I have seen a few smaller pets like rabbits and birds there as well. (I have also been there with one of my cats).

If your animal needs to stay overnight, they will keep it there and treat it. If it needs immediate life saving measures, they take them. Obviously only you can judge how far you want to go with the measures. They will help you decide what to do in a loving manner.

I am very impressed with the Animal Emergency Center and feel glad knowing it is there -- in case.

The whole staff obviously loves animals and they treat your animal in the same manner you would. They are gentle and soothing. My dog was a wreck (as was I!) but he calmed down once he was handled by the staff there. I guess animals know when someone truly cares and when they don't.

I don't hand out 5 stars usually but, for the sake of saving animals in an emergency, this is my first 5 star rating.

PROS: Open late, very caring and gentle, walk ins taken
CONS: Can be expensive
