Good furniture, absolutely atrocious customer service. AVOID, there are many options on places to buy furniture. This should be your last option.

Good furniture, absolutely atrocious customer service. AVOID, there are many options on places to buy furniture. This should be your last option.

Are experience with Ruby-Gordon was a nightmare. We ordered a new oversized sofa from them. When it was delivered the delivery men were asked specifically to bring it in through the rear door. They refused saying they could get it in the front entryway. In doing so they they destroyed our ceiling by punching a hole in it. The drivers reported it and we were contacted my a Mike Oliver and told to get an estimate. We did from the original company that put in the ceiling. When Mr. Oliver got the estimate he sent out a photographer to document the damage for their insurance carrier. Then after two trips back to the store Mr. Oliver became surly and said he would send out ceiling men to repair the damage. They came that afternoon and immediately said the entire ceiling would have to be replaced as it couldn't be repaired. I got a call from Mr. Oliver later that day saying they would pay the original estimate. No apoligies were ever extended to us. I asked Mr. Oliver and their floor sales manager multiple times if I could get the phone number for the company owners and they refused. So much for being locally owned. Obviously we will never make a purchase there again and I will repeat our buying experience with as many people as possible who are considering buying furniture.

I ran a United Way campaign for them one year and met some of the employees. They are a locally owned company and I felt a real sense of community at Ruby Gordon and that is the main reason that my wife and I started using them for furniture.
