Yes, a lot of things are from Tripp NYC. But what people don't know is that this is where Tripp NYC is based. All the brands sold here last pretty long if taken well properly ;hence why I find myself coming back here every 2 weeks or so. If your looking for something post-apocalyptic, punk , psychobilly, cyber, etc, this is the store to go to for a great deal. ;D Don't forget about the rad accessories.!

Pros: Wide Variety of Clothing

Cons: Expensive

Trash has some of the most interesting and moderately priced shoes of anywhere in the city. that being said that is all i'd buy there. if you are not some loaded hot topic lover you won't find much here. i feel like everything in the store these days is made by tripp, no variety whatsoever!
i will say that despite their appearence the staff is quite inviting.
in closing: shoes = YAY!
clothes = NAY!

Amazing place for punk rock clothing. Two separate stores, one is upstairs and has brand new punk clothes. The clothes are a bit pricey, but worth it. The lower part is mostly dedicated to shoes, both new and used stuff can be found here.

Staff is very friendly, especially the owner!

This store has the best, original punk/ goth/ alternative clothing and acessories out there. Has stuff from the plain to the wild, and prices can be high, but the clothes are quality. Large selection of all sorts of different items and even a store devoted entirely to shoes. Staff is very friendly. Great for an original look!

I took a friend from out of town there last night. We went downstairs first where the manager not only looked unhappy to be there, but wasn't very friendly. We strolled to the back shoe section, where my friend made a friendly joke about one of the boots. The salesguy gave us an annoyed look and then went to the back room without asking us if we needed help. Downstairs was a gloomy experience. HOWEVER, we went upstairs to where Jimmy is and it was completely different. We met and talked with Jimmy, he posed for pictures with us, and even let my 12 yr-old daughter try on a top hat that Slash autographed. Don't think it's just punk rockers that shop the store - I was suprised to see Jane Fonda's autographed pic behind the register. Upstairs w/Jimmy rocks!

This was my first time in NYC and a friend wanted me to go to Trash & Vadville for a cool shirt. I'm not your typical punk or rock chick ( black lady with designer clothes), however I love style in every form. That's exactly what I got there. The staff is so helpful and kind, the extremely hot Jimmy helped me find the perfect gift for my friend, even trying on the shirts for me to show how they looked. Too cool. If you are looking for the real thing in quality style this is the store to visit. Great clothes and a brilliant staff.

Trash and Vaudeville is a very interesting place that sells clothing, shoes, and other accesories. This is a great place to go if you are into the rock or punk look, or if you want to put together a funky costume. You won't typically see people walking around in clothing like that sold here, but if you go to a nightclub, it wouldn't be out of the ordinary. It is a very fun store and has so much to choose from. If this is your style, you are going to love this place. If it isn't, then I wouldn't bother stopping in because you most likely won't find anything.

This place on St. Marks has the best selection of alternative/bondage wear around. Lot's of punk stuff and funky shoes. Sometimes it is expensive but the stuff is worth it. Most of it you can't find anywhere else. Great for costumes!! The staff is always really friendly too.

This place has been here for many, many years, through the cool punk period of the neighborhood, the brief uncool gentrification period and now the semi-revival. Every time I go here, it feels like home, it hasn't really changed. The clothes aren't as perverted as they used to be, but still are pretty good. And the shoes downstairs, my god, the SHOES! The staff are friendlier than they used to be in the eighties...Look for Jimmy, that sweet lanky lad with the ratty blond hair who looks like one of the New York Dolls. He will set you right.

This place is separated into two. The bottom, which is most like a basement, is Trash. Thereupon you will find a large variety of bondage clothing, jewelry, and the biggest collection I've ever seen of platform boots, MJs, and combat boots ever.

Vaudeville is above this section, where there is a junkload of clothing ranging from baggy, plaid, vinyl, velvet, and mesh. Anyone who is into the "scene" will probably be found shopping here. The staff may look scary but if you're in the store - you probably would think they look normal. They are also pretty friendly. The prices are somewhat expensive, a pair of pants will be about 100. Near the door is a huge table full of promotional fliers, stickers, etc about the "scene" in which is a favorite from many customers it seems. This is a good place to shop at for the out of the ordinary.

Trash and Vaudeville is located in the heart of New York's punk mecca, St. Mark's Place in the East Village. Since the heyday of punk, New York has changed a lot - but the East Village, and especially St. Mark's Place, remain a haven for the disaffected and weird looking. Not even the Gap on the corner has managed to change that... at least so far.

Trash and Vaudeville has a perfect punk atmosphere: it's small and somewhat cramped, but very cosy; great music is always playing on the speakers; the sales people are pierced, leather-clad and have hair of every shade of the rainbow. The merchandise doesn't disappoint: one part of the store is filled with t-shirts, dresses, gorgeous leather outfits and silver jewelry, while another part is taken up by angry-looking shoes and boots, including some that have devil horns, some that look like a mouth full of teeth, some with flames and some with British flags.

The stuff in the store is not cheap, but considering that you won't find most of these things in any other store, it's well worth it. I have bought some amazing boots there: they lasted me a very long time and were always a great topic of conversation.

PROS: Great unique merchandise, fun environment
CONS: A little pricey, but well worth it

With CBGB's allegedy closing down next month the number of survivors from the heyday of Punk is dwindling down t nothingness. Trash & Vaudeville has been selling Punky woman's clothes for as long as I can remember. You know the look, safety pins, black on black on black etc. Go check them out if you having any feeling for the Punk astethic for I'm sure as St. Marks Place keeps gentrifying eventually they will become a Krispy Kreme or Blockbuster.

I looked up this store online and had to go there! Trash, which is downstairs from Vaudeville, had a giant shoe selection in the back, and clothes such as neon mesh shirts, vinyl pants and black lace shirts. Trash had more fetishy clothes, and it was fun to look at, but they were expensive. I fell in LOVE with Vaudeville-it had bondage pants, skirts with lace, and a lot of old-school punk-type clothing. The people that worked there were really nice and friendly, and a girl working at the counter said they get a lot of rock stars, such as Des from the Misfits and Green Day!! I will definately go back there-even if some of the clothes are a little expensive, it is impossible to not buy something in either of those stores :) Awesome huge selection-not the kind of stuff you find in the average mall.
