Note: A previous reviewer writes about attending an ER. This person is referring to Cayuga Medical Center (the local hospital) and not Cayuga Family Medicine (a small, private GP office).

Now the good stuff: Dr. Loehr wrote the book on infant care (I'm not kidding - it's called the Playskool Guide to Baby's First Year). Dr. Selin is equally qualified and perhaps the most down-to-earth physician I have ever met, and I've met many. When my daughter was little, we would sit on the floor and play/explore while we waited in the exam room. When Dr. Selin came in, she would join us there on the floor and do as much as she could on my daughter's terms, so she wouldn't get scared. She sees my daughter as a whole (albeit little) person, and treats her that way. She also pays attention to me, listening without judgment as I share the concerns of an over-educated and older mom.

The nurses are amazing, too. Whenever I have a question, I know I can call and I will either speak with the RN right away if it sounds serious, or get a call back within an hour or so if it's a more manageable concern.

The staff are professional, efficient, and friendly. I've never had a problem with billing, insurance issues, or making appointments.

The facilities are brand new (newly remodeled) and all the patient rooms are comfortable and interesting; not at all sterile in feel (though certainly up to proper medical standards).

If I could refer more people to these folks, I would. Best of all, if you see either for pediatric care (their specialty) they will also "take" the rest of the family into their general practice. They truly believe in Family Medicine!

We have been to many area drs offices and I've worked in several. This office is the most efficiently run, pleasant office I've been in. They are standardly on time, up to date on your information, and genuinely care about their patients. I would recommend this office to anyone who is looking for quality, friendly care.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Selin and Dr. Loehr. Dr. Selin was our primary doctor and she took the best care of my sons and I. She "knew" who we were, not all doctors do! I really felt like we were in good hands and I was always able to get in to see her when we needed to. Unfortunately we moved and I am not having nearly as much luck finding anyone close to the caliber and compassion of Dr. Selin. If you are her patient, you can count yourself lucky and well cared for.
