I visited this place a few times looking for good slightly used children's clothing and was completely surprised to find much of the items to be like new. I bought two outfits which had the tags on for much less than I'd pay elsewhere. They are pleasant and have many items to select. It is an upscale place for thrifty shopping, most enjoyable.
PROS: Thrift is good shopping.

When you're in the mood to shop and have to watch your budget, don't hesitate to look at this resale store. They have all sorts of apparel - from casual to really dressy - so odds are you'll find something that fits your mood and pocketbook. They have accessories in pretty good condition too - and the prices can't be beat. Likewise - if you have items you're not wearing but are quality and traditional and are in good condition, why don't you talk to them about putting them into consignment for you.

This is a second-hand store for top-of-the-line merchandise. Many of the items still have their tags or may have only been worn once. They have clothes, shoes and accessories. They also run incredible sales. It is not unusual to get a pair of $300 Chanel sunglasses for $50.

I am a huge fan of thrit shops. This one is at the top of my list. I travel from brooklyn to Mnahattan to get a decent pair of jeans. The prices are good and the clothes are in great shape.

I found this spot when I lived on the Upper East Side. They have a great selection of high-end women's clothing. Designers include: Gucci, Chanel, Prada and many more. Handbags and coats are in very good condition and prices are about 50% off department store retail.
The evening section is especially inspired. The next time I formal attire I'm heading here!
PROS: Great bargains
CONS: Have to be patient when hunting for the "just right thing"

One of the best consignment shops in NYC

After moving to NYC I went and checked out almost all the consignment shops in the area and found that this is one of the best, it is very clean and not a mess unlike most others. The prices are great, I bought a Burberry coat for $150, it looks new and is a classic style. I took some of my own things in and it was very quick and easy to consign with them. The only thing I did not like was that I found some of the items were very old and out of style. Also the owners might want to brush up on their designer lines a little because I found a Michael Kors shirt (main line and higest priced) for less then a Michael by Michael Kors (cheapest line), there would have been a $200 differnce in retail price between the two and the cheaper line one was priced higer in the store. However I guess that is a plus for us shoppers.
