Where to start... What they offer is great but when it came down to signing up for membership the person just wrote prices on a piece of paper saying their plans change every week so they dont print out membership form with pricing... Then we ask about freezing membership as my wife is 8 months pregnant, the saleman said we can do that for 2 dollars a month-this ended up not being even close to the correct price(5dollars a month to freeze).I call and speak to manager and she made me feel like i was the one who was wrong for asking for the 2 dollar freeze fee that we were told... The lady broke down crying and told me she cant do this right now dont sign up then.... I was not rude at all just wanted what we were told we would get.. bad bad experience...

My experiences with athletic clubs have been limited to Aspen and Kelly Lynn. The trainers; managers; and people who work at the desk have all been very helpful to me. I have limitations and they were very accomodating to that. I really enjoy working out on the eliptical machine while watching a movie in the movie room. I also like the convenience of having the tanning booths available. I wish that there could be more instructions on how to properly operate and work out on each machine. I also wish that they had a facility a little farther north so that I wouldn't have to travel as far; but...it's worth the trip! Great job Aspen workers!

I joined not too long ago.Could be cleaner. Hallway coming in is a bit disgusting. There is only one trainer that is friendly,..the rest of them think they are hot stuff, and are stuck up. They never say hello, so rude, no personalities at all, unless you throw a $100 bill at them..then they will speak to you. I had a trainer for a while. He never showed me half the machines in the place. Waste of my money. The only friendly people are those at the desk when you sign in.

I learned the hard way at how much of a value I should place on my life and I hope that you won't have to.

First of all, this tiny, dirty, cramped hole in the wall (literally) is not worth the headaches and agrivation to save a few dollars. If you are a parent and are in hopes of using their "Kids Korner" for childsitting, please, I beg of you. If you truly love your child(ren) then you will not entrust your precious bundle of joy to this office turned into a childcare with a few dirty, broken toys shoved into it! No parent in their right mind should even consider for a minute allowing these people to care for their children much less themselves!

Sure, I too was fooled by The Better Business Bureau's "Satisfactory rating" until I learned that as long as you become a member of The BBB, you are entitled to privelages not bestowed upon other and more reputable businesses. If you don't believe me, do your research like me and you will find out the same thing and this applies to many kinds of businesses. What a scam! Who do we report The BBB to? Hmnnnn........... Anyways, The story on their so-called personal trainers is this: Mostly just a bunch of steriod looking body builders. Some of which are not even certified. Apparently, you only have to look the part at this gym. Forget about being knowledgeable. Although they do have this new woman whose claim to fame is that she specializes in "post natal workouts". Being an out-of-shape Mom, I was really interested in shelling out whatever amount of money it took just so I could loose this stubborn "baby weight". Until I found out that she just recently became certified through a weekend course that contained mostly multiple choice type questions!?!? What? Are you seriously asking me to trust that this woman knows ALL of the safe and effective ways to help me by just simply taking a quiz? Apparently, other than this weekend certification, she has just as much knowledge regarding post natal workouts as me through bearing 5 children herself and struggliing the past 14 years to loose the weight. The only difference between us, is that she found some "Super fat-burner pill" that she cannot reccommend to her clients due to a "liability factor". So, basically, if I give it few more years and find some wonder drug, I too can look good? No thank you. Like I said before. I would much rather, take a little more time in researching ALL of the gyms in the surrounding area, spend a little more money if I have too and find the better gym. I guess that is the difference between people who shop at Walmart vs. Nordstroms. Actually, in this case, this is the difference between people who shop at Walmart vs. Target! I could only hope to find a gym that gives the same quality as Nordstrom because my life is certainly worth every penny of it!

Shop around my friends, shop around!

We joined Aspen after our former gym changed hands, and couldn't be happier. We never have to wait for equipment, the weight room is seperate from the cardio area, which is nice, they offer a great assortment of aerobic classes, the hours are great (until midnight most nights) and everybody is very friendly/helpful. I've never felt uncomfortable at Aspen...it's definitely a "family" gym. Very relaxed and low-key. The "Kid's Corner" is only $1/day or $10/month and the staff there are wonderful.

PROS: Great prices - tons of cardio equipment!!
CONS: Could be a bit cleaner. It's not "dirty", but could be better.
