We took my sister out for her birthday this past Saturday and had a wonderful dining experience. Our waitress was fantastic. She did not rush us at all with our ordering. Some of us had difficulty deciding because of the wonderful selections on the menu. We were there at lunchtime, but we asked for a dinner menu, which was brought to us without a problem. Salad bar - what can I say - it was, as usual, fantastic. Wonderful variety of items, including toppings and dressings. The best chopped liver of any restaurant we have been too. The food came cooked exactly as ordered. After the salad bar some of us couldn't even finish our entree, so we took the leftovers home for another day. The waitress overheard us talking about celebrating a birthday, and when our desserts came, there was a candle in it and the staff sang happy birthday. Now that's what I call a wait person who pays attention to what is going on at her table. We are most cetainly going to come back many, many times. The food is terrific; the prices are right and the service make any trip there a most memorable experience.
Try It, You'll Like It.

My sister came to visit on last minute notice and we were looking for a place to have dinner in a hurry. We remembered this flyer at home for Charlie Brown's while driving around. So we called information and got their number and called for directions. It is very easily found and right off the start the girl on the phone was already very helpful (a good start). When we got their parking was easy with their large parking lot. And we were got our table in minutes. The server was friendly and very accomondating to our needs (got a 2 years old and it makes a big difference).
I ordered the portherhouse med and it was top quality and made perfect for my taste. My wife got a combine grille dish and it very very tasty as well. My sister got a NYstrip, it was good but a little on the over cook side and a little dry b/c she asked for med well. Like it said you got to know how to order. We even got a kid meal (chicken tender with fries) for my 2 years old b/c it was so affordable for kids and it tasted better then that NY strip my sister had. And the portion of everything were just right for us.
The only other neg that I can think of is the appretizer we ordered. It was spinich dip. It was good my daughter had alot but they didn't give enough chips to go with it. We each had like 4 chips and we had half a bowl of dip left.
Definitely a good place to go to for a nice small family dinner at last notice. The decor is very comfortable and casual. I can be myself and not have to be up tight to enjoy my steak.

This place gives the best value for food on all of Long Island.
This is our family place of choice after celebratring some kind of mark or another. Though the Outback may gbe a small notch better in their menu choices, this food is good and the prices are VERY good, especially of you are getting the farmers salad bar.

The place, does get a bit busy but they really try and take care of each customer like they are special.

This place is a find for families on a budget.

PROS: Good prices and an excellent salad bar.
CONS: None

This restaurant is local to the NY/NJ area and are somewhat similar to Outback. They do not carry certain trademarks that Outback does, such as the "Bloomin Onion: but they have more appetizers to offer than Outback. Entree wise the choices are very similar, they always have tender and juicy steaks and I have never had a bad meal there. They also have a self serve salad bar, you can go back as much as you want and pick what you want in your salad rather than the generic salad you get at other restaurants. It is a family friendl place which is good, no one seems to mind kids crying/talking/running around, not that this is the norm at this restaurant. Overall you can get a very good meal here and their prices are very very good. they are a lot cheaper than Outback but the steaks are just as good, and they have better appetizers and salads if you enjoy those, also more of a dessert choice

PROS: Good prices
CONS: Can get very busy, long wait for table
