I bring clients to business lunches at PJs. Almost always get a personalized welcome from the owner, Phil. He describes the specials with latest products from Italy. Food is great, atmosphere friendly, and no pressure if the meeting is

NOT the real deal, which was disappointing. I've had better food at diners for half the price. Needs updating and revamping. Waste of time.

FORGET ABOUT IT, it''s the real deal. This place is a throw back to those old Italian restaurants where the owner visits your table, and gets to know all his customers.

I like the corner table in the back and an order of linguine and clam sauce.

I went there 2 times, one night they had live jazz and i loved it, this friday i was there with a friend and the place was pretty crowded. The place is on greenwich st, a little out of reach but the staff and owner are friendly and attentive. The moderate prices and warm atmosphere encouraged me to go back for more. Is like being back in Italy again. Highly raccomended!!!

PJ Charlton serves eggplent parm like no other. It has so many layers of deliciousness you cannot begin to count them. It's butterlike texture melts in your mouth and the sauce and fresh mozzerella cheese only inhance this extraordinary dining experience. My son ordered Phil's Ravioli and said he will never be able to eat it anywhere else. Our family travels extensively back and forth across the US, PJ Charlton is a must stop in NYC.We make it a tradition each time we come to NY to eat at this splendid restaurant.and have introduced it to many others including native NewYorkers who now eat there regularly. Thanks Phil and staff for a dining pleasure we look forward too seeing you soon.

Pros: Eggplant parm like Nonna's

Cons: wish I lived in NYC

After all of the horrible reviews here I was a little leery about meeting my parents for dinner, but they chose the place. My worries were unfounded. The service was prompt and efficient, but they had no problem letting us linger after dinner. The food was good and the prices were reasonable. The space was nicely done and I appreciated the fresh flowers. I probably won't go out of my way to eat here again, but if I was in the neighborhood, I would definitely consider this as an option.

Cons: Location is out of the way

I was there two weeks ago and it was a terrible experience all around. The waitstaff was so-so, the food was mediocre and way overpriced. We were overcharged and when we spoke to the manager/owner he was very rude and unapologetic. And then, in ear shot, berated the server until she looked like she was going to cry. For a place that's completely empty, maybe he should rethink his attitude and the way he is running his business.
I will never go back and will make sure none of my friends do either.

Avoid this place. Save your time and money! There are plenty of other Italian restaurants in this city.

Slow service and incompetent waitstaff. The food was alright for what it was, but nothing extraordinary. I would even say a bit overpriced. Might be a good place for lunch, but don't waste your money here for dinner, there are so many better places to dine in the city.

Pros: Really one of the only restuarants in the area

Cons: Bad service, overpriced for quality of food.

PJ's offers great italian food in a relaxed setting. Be sure to try Phil's ravioli.
