There have been many owners of the deli in the past few years. For years there was one set of owners who ran a great Deli. If anyone saw the home town parade for Sarah Hughes (Olympic gold medal winner - Women's Figure Skating) you might have seen the huge Deli on the Green spread as she passed. They were great Sarah supporters and she went there to pick up lunch often.

After that it was sold and the new people had a terrible selection, weird hours, the food was sub-par and they eventually folded.

The deli was then bought by the existing owners and it is amazing. Their daily specials can rival any of the great restaurants and their *waiting to be heated* paninis - made on pita bread to cut down the carbs - are to die for. Their salads are always fresh and their green salads are crisp and there is no browning of the leaves.

All in all, Deli on the Green, as it is today in mid 2008 is a great place to either pick up a bite or to eat in as they recently built a casual eating area in the back.
