The Cornell Daily Sun is a great newspaper not only for students, but also for Ithaca residents. While there is definitely a focus on Cornell activities and news, there is a conscious effort made to cover important town events whether they be political, social, or religious. In my opinion, this paper is better than the other alternative which is the Ithaca Journal. "The Sun" recently moved to a free newspaper, which is definitely a nice perk. The opinion section has a lot of variety in it, although there are good years and not-so-good years. Perhaps one of my favorite parts is the advertisements. If you are a Cornell student, it is probably the best way to find out about cool lectures and events happening on campus.

Great community read. In-town subscriptions are sent through the mail. Not worth it if you like your paper in the morning.

Quality can change from year to year as editorial board changes.

Mix of student written article about the community and editorials, along with stories from the wire.
