The best Hibachi Around...Bonsai!!  5 Star Rating - World class

The atmosphere alone is worth coming to this place. It's sitting on top of a mountain & you have this nostalgic sense of 1970s Shogun. The view is amazing form the lounge & I dare say romantic:)

All of the wait staff is in traditional japanese garb & they have always been very friendly. Can't say I've ever been disappointed with the Hibachi Chefs either & the same routine never seems to get old.

The food is delicious & yes, it's a little pricey but I think well worth it since you're paying for the experience. My son is the pickiest son of a gun & he loves coming to this place...great for kids!!

Don't spend your money at other local Hibachi places, definitely come here...this is the real deal.

fave hibachi restaurant  5 Star Rating - World class

This is THE place to go for Hibachi in the area (yes, they do have another location on route 17 but nothing is more authentic than this location). Located on top of a mountain, this restaurant is totally Japanese in appearance. They have the koi ponds and Japanese writing and lanterns and all the works. You will need a reservation for any week night and especially one for Friday or Saturday night. Even with a reservation on Friday or Saturday you will still most likely have to wait. But that is okay. Take full advantage of the bar. Great drinks and service in the lounge and a great place to relax and on the weekends listen to the piano player and singer who is there. While the sushi is good here, and definitely worth eating if you like it, the real appeal here is the hibachi cooking. The different chefs are lively and though they all tell the same jokes over and over, it is still very entertaining. (great for families). The hibachi is great and so is the soup and salad and green tea that come with the complete hibachi dinners. The chefs never have a problem keeping the seafood separate (in case anyone in your party is allergic). If you do not have a full table, they will seat you with other couples. Sometimes this is fun but it can get really fun when you are with a lot of people you know. Try the mai-tais- they are strong. This has been a favorite for me since i started going when i was 8. Love it here. Can be ver expensive depending how much you drink and what you get.

PROS: Great Food!!!
CONS:

scenic  4 Star Rating - Very good

The food is okay- depends what you're looking for. I think it's Anglified- not very authentic. I usually get the tuna hibachi. The real draw is the view. It's the former site of motel on the mountain. And no, there is no problems with the area, it is very safe!

PROS: view
CONS: food is just okay

My favorite!!  4 Star Rating - Very good

I always love going to Mt. Fuji!! My husband and I usually start with a drink or 2 at the bar (the mai tais are the best!). I usually order the Filet Mignon & lobster tail for dinner. The food is always delicious & the portions are huge. It is a fun & entertaining place to go. We enjoy bringing my young nieces & nephews to dinner here..they always have a great time. Although it is a little pricy, it is worth it for a special occasion.
